More pictures here: http://s304.photobucket.com/user/schreckman/library/ 1999 F-250 Lariat Super Duty Powerstroke 7.3 Diesel 4x4 extended cab, looks nice runs good. Before you read another word in this ad, know this for a fact, I have put over 3700 dollars of upgrades and replacement parts on this truck! Parts only, not counting labor! I have meticulously hunted down every remaining mechanical quirk, squeak and leak on this beast. The only thing I have not addressed is the remaining cosmetic dents and scratches but the condition is more than good for a 15 year old 3/4 ton truck. Long Bed! Truck is clean and rust free! I mean crawl up under the truck and stick your head inside the fenders and look with a flashlight rust free. That's because it lives in the dry climate of Colorado. Good windshield, clean inside and out. See the pictures and judge for yourself. Suspension: Upgraded lift leveling kit! Lariat trim package, leather, Power Locks, Seat and Windows, Cruise Control, Tilt, A/C AM/FM/CD and cassette (stock stereo) Aluminum wheels. Recent maintenance : in the past 4000 miles. Trans rebuild, Two professional series batteries, heavy duty Gates serpentine belt, premium oil change, just had the seats redone, and had the whole truck detailed and waxed. Smells great inside too. In the past 100 miles I have done another Premium Oil change, Replaced the 130 dollar air filter, replaced the fuel filter, replaced the door lock actuators because the old ones were slow and weak in the colder temps. I just flushed the brake fluid as well even though it looked clean and clear. I also flushed the coolant, even though it looked nice too. I also just performed an injection tune by changing the High Pressure Oil Pump oil. Resealed the High pressure hose connections and replaced the Injections Control Pressure Sensor. New air conditioning compressor, receiver dryer and orifice tube, clutch and re-charge, AC blows cold! Other things I have noticed about the truck, it looks like the brakes and ball joints were replaced but I am not sure when, they look new with pads and calipers. Ball joints and bearings are tight and greased. Stops very well with no pulsation and no play in the steering. 3rd party inspections are suggested but I have done my best to describe the vehicle with words, pictures and videos. If you have further questions please ask, I am here to help. www.schrecksauto.com I have every confidence that this vehicle can drive anyplace, just put diesel in it and go. I am happy to meet you at the Denver International Airport for pick-up. Delivery is available at an extra charge, delivery within 100 miles is free of charge. All payments must clear before delivery can take place. Schrecks Auto is a licensed and Bonded Colorado dealer. Colorado residents must pay sales taxes and fees associated with the sale. More 2015 Ford Mustang pricing information leaks [UPDATE]
Tue, 20 May 2014The big news this morning was that the 2015 Ford Mustang would start at $24,425, including its destination pricing. The big news this afternoon is, well, bigger.
Mustang6G.com has come up with what it claims is pricing info for the entire Mustang line, rather than just the V6. That means we know all about the EcoBoost and GT prices now, which, when combined with the dealer order sheets we reported on last week, gives us our clearest look yet at how the Mustang can be outfitted (we're still a bit short on pricing info for some standalone options, like paint premiums and such).
The base EcoBoost starts at $25,995, while the GT rings up at $32,925.
Ford EcoBoost V6 hits the dyno before hitting the track
Wed, 02 Oct 2013Ford Racing just unveiled the Riley Daytona Prototype that will make its racing in the United SportsCar Racing Championship Rolex 24 at Daytona in January, and now it has released a video showing development of twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 that powers the car. Using the same block and heads that can be found on a production Ford Taurus SHO, this new racecar benefits from the collaboration between Ford Racing and Ford powertrain engineers.
While we still don't know what kind of power this engine is putting out, it has definitely gotten a workout at Ford's 17G dyno. This area deep within Ford allows the automaker's racing program to work hand-in-hand with production engine programs, which can be a benefit to racing operations and production cars alike. Scroll down to hear a few people from Ford talk about the crosspollination between its racing and engine teams and watch the EcoBoost get red hot on the dyno.
Toyota fears supplier pressure in Australia with GM pull out
Wed, 11 Dec 2013With Ford and General Motors both announcing an end to production in Australia, the country's auto industry is in a bad way. With the exit of two big players, there's increased concern that a third Australian manufacturer, Toyota, will be forced out, as well.
"We are saddened to learn of GM Holden's decision. This will place unprecedented pressure on the local supplier network and our ability to build cars in Australia," Toyota Australia said in a statement. The GM closure of Holden production will be the direct end to 2,900 jobs, but will also force a dramatic reduction in the size of the country's supplier network, as there will simply be fewer cars to build.
In the same statement, Toyota Australia said it would work with suppliers and local government to figure out whether continuing production Down Under was even feasible. According to Automotive News, a representative for the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union told reporters it was "highly likely" that Toyota would also close up shop within the next few years.
