I am selling my 1979 Ford F-150. It is 2wd drive. This truck was from Florida. Its been in New York for 2 years now and has not been driven in the winter. As you can see in the pictures the body is super solid and all oem. There is no welded panels on this truck what so ever. Take a look at the floor boards and cab mounts in the pictures they are all original and spotless. Cab corners have the factory spot welds at the very bottoms which is what you want to see. Truck is a real head turner the paint is bronco brown with a lot of gold flake which you cant really see in the pictures but the gold flake really looks good when the sun hits it. The inside of the truck has not been painted but is in nice shape other than the steering wheel which is a little cracked not a big deal I just never got to getting around to putting a new one on also the speedometer is not accurate. The Frame and chassis on this truck is also super solid has all been painted. There is no pits or rust scales on the frame it is nice and smooth. has all solid brake lines gas line gas tank and brand new fabed tranny lines. The motor is a strong running 351 V8 with a C-6 automatic tranny. Motor has no knocks smoke or oil leaks to speak of. Has newer headers and dual 30 series flow masters that come out to 4 inch before the back tires. Truck sounds amazing driving down the highway tons of power!!!! How you see the truck in the pictures is how you will get it is garaged and not being driving due to the auction. I am not selling it locally as I have it here on ebay. I really do not want to this this truck because I really don't think I am going to find another as solid as this one but I work 6-days a week and it really is not being driven hardly at all anymore. Truck is Oem solid top to bottom bumper to bumper. If you have any questions please call or text 607-201-7285.

Would a Mustang-based Lincoln look like this?
Mon, 07 Jan 2013Designer Josiah LaCalla has taken a stab at what a Ford Mustang-based Lincoln model might look like with the Continental Mark X1 concept. Make no mistake, Ford's luxury arm has made it abundantly clear that it won't be pursuing any new products outside of volume models, which means a flashy halo grand tourer like the one you see here isn't in the cards. LaColla used the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG as a basis for his creation, which explains the long nose, but we certainly don't mind the idea of a rear-wheel drive Lincoln with a cabin pushed to the aft.
While we're dreaming, there's certainly nothing stopping us from imagining what's under that lengthy hood. We like the idea of the 5.8-liter supercharged V8 from the Shelby GT500 pushing the Mark X1 down the road, but how about something a little more inventive? Something like a high-revving, buttery V12 with enough torque to push the contraption well past 200 miles per hour. Dream a little dream, people.
Trump takes potshots at Ford in Flint
Wed, Aug 12 2015Doubling down on his general dislike of everything south of the Rio Grande, Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump took aim at local favorite Ford during his first campaign visit to Michigan yesterday. "Ford is building a $2.5 billion plant in Mexico," Trump told a standing-room-only crowd in Birch Run, MI, yesterday evening. "I'll actually give them a good idea. Why don't we just let the illegals drive the cars and trucks right into our country?" This is not the first time real estate mogul turned reality TV star has whined about Ford's Mexican factory plans. Previously, he promised that if he were elected, he'd levy a 35-percent tax against Mexican-built Fords. Then, as he has here, Trump failed to address other automakers selling Mexican-built vehicles in the US, including Detroit-based General Motors as well as foreign brands like Volkswagen, Nissan, and Toyota. "I would say, the deal is not going to be approved, I won't allow it. I want that plant in the United States, preferably here," Trump said, with Bloomberg reporting his comments were meant with chants of "USA." Ford announced the $2.5-billion Mexican investment in April, saying it'd build two factories to produce transmissions and engines. In response to Trump's criticism of the deal, the Dearborn-based automaker was quick to point out that it hasn't exactly been stingy about building its business here in the US. "We are committed to leveraging our global manufacturing footprint and will continue to invest where it makes the best sense for our business," Ford spokesman Karl Henkel told Bloomberg. "We are proud that we have invested $6.2 billion in our US plants since 2011 and hired nearly 25,000 US employees." Related Video:
Long winter means most automakers won't curb summer shutdown
Sun, 18 May 2014A lot more happened during this latest brutal winter than days of snow and Netflix binges. Automotive sales took a battering. After all, going out car shopping when it's eleventy-billion degrees below zero isn't a good time.
Because of this Old Man Winter-induced sales slump, inventories are abnormally high as we head into the summer car buying season. That's led some analysts to predict that automakers will be more inclined to idle factories this summer, in a bid to trim some of the built-up inventory. Traditionally, American manufacturers offer up a two-week break in the middle of summer, although the burgeoning sales of the past few years have seen this practice become less popular.
"We're likely not going to see an acceleration this year," Jeff Schuster, a senior vice president at LMC Automotive, told The Detroit News. "We'll see production increases in 'pockets' but I don't know if it will be as widespread as in recent years."
