This exceptionally clean 2004 F-150 Ford Lariat is Wedgewood Blue two tone Arizona Beige with matching tan leather interior. Truck has only 85,000 miles on it and I am the second owner. No smoking in truck- ash tray has never been used. The Ford factory options are: 3.55 limited slip axle, audiophile 6-cds stereo with separate bass and 6 new infinity reference speakers (cost $460.00) power rear sliding window, trailer tow package, 36 gallon fuel tank, leather captain chairs, and lower two tone paint. Also installed (Ford approved) full Roush suspension kit with sport springs, Bilstein super duty shocks front and rear, and a chamber kit to get the alignment right, not many F-150's ride and handle like this one. This cost $2,000.00 I have new 2012 F-150 Ford OEM rims and Michelin tires 265/60/18 on truck. High performance stainless steel dual exhaust (just the right tone) exits in front of right rear tire. Lots of other custom items, such as Ford Factory FX front Spoiler , Stillen rear bed wing, custom made interior dash knobs, rear lights, chrome mirrors, and custom door handles that you can see in the pictures Truck had engine replaced at 54,000 miles in 2009, so that means it gets the mileage of a 2009 model plus engine only has about 31,000 miles on it. I have all maintenance records from Power Ford dealer in Torrance including original owner's manual and window sticker. Everything works perfect-everything-It has small dings, one on the right rear bumper and one on the right front fender and a few chips and scrapes in the front spoiler and bumper you can see in the photos. Truck has never been out of California. I no longer need truck as job was downsized. Please come and see this truck and test drive it. Truck is for sale locally.

NHTSA closes probes on Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey
Wed, 09 Jan 2013The Detroit News reports the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially closed its investigations into 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2004-2005 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey models. The separate probes found no issues that pose safety concerns. NHTSA began investigating certain Grand Cherokee SUVs over complaints that power steering hoses could detach during operation, thereby increasing the risk of a vehicle fire. Of the 24 reports of failure, none alleged smoke or fire in the engine bay, and Chrysler has since modified the power steering cooler assembly to reduce the likelihood of the failure.
Meanwhile, certain Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey vehicles garnered a government probe after receiving complaints that the models were equipped with faulty scissor jacks. The agency had received six reports of the jacks failing or causing injuries, including one incident that resulted in a fatality. But NHTSA says the jack failure rate is similar to those found in other vehicles. In those six cases, the government agency found the jacks were being used for something other than changing a tire, and investigators could not determine whether the emergency brake was set or the rear tires were properly chocked.
The 2015 Ford Mustang is not so mellow in yellow
Tue, 14 Jan 2014When we first saw the 2015 Ford Mustang, much was made of its new, more expressive color palette, which includes the return of both yellow and orange in addition to a new grayish shade, Guard. At that time, we didn't have anything to look at but a few small scale models painted in the new colors - the only Mustangs on display were in Race Red.
For its auto show debut here at in the Motor City, Ford has trotted out a couple of as-yet-unseen shades, including the striking Triple Yellow shown above. The new shade marks a return to a paint color that enthusiasts have been clamoring for, and we must say, it looks excellent under the lights of Cobo Hall.
Stat wise, there are still a number of questions we have about the redesigned Mustang. None of the three engines have had official power figures published. The same goes for pricing information, although if any loose-lipped execs let something slip in Detroit, we'll be sure to let you know. Until then, have a look at the new Triple Yellow Mustang on display at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.
William Clay Ford Sr. dead at 88
Sun, 09 Mar 2014William Clay Ford, retired vice chairman of Ford Motor Company and the last surviving grandchild of company founder Henry Ford, died this morning after a bout with pneumonia. He was 88.
Ford spent 57 years with his grandfather's company, joining the board of directors in 1948 before graduating from college. Ford also held a position as chairman of the design committee, as well as the chairman of the executive committee and vice chairman of the Board of Directors during his tenure with the company. In a 2013 Detroit Free Press story, retired CFO Allan Gilmour said Ford had an eye for design, and was once able to pick out when a fiberglass model of a Ford Contour was asymmetrical, off by an inch on one side. He retired and assumed the position of director emeritus in 2005.
"My father was a great business leader and humanitarian who dedicated his life to the company and the community," said Bill Ford, Jr., Ford's current executive chairman. "He also was a wonderful family man, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him, yet he will continue to inspire us all."
