I purchased this 2002 FORD F150 Super Crew Lariat truck "NEW" from Albany Ford in the summer of 2002.  With the exception of the leather covering on the driver's seat, a small crack in the center console lid, and a heel spot worn on the driver floor mat the truck interior is in excellent condition.  The left front fender has a thin line scratch that has been professionally touched up.  There are no dents, rust, or damage anywhere on the truck.  This past November a lady pulled out in front of me from a parking lot and hit the right corner of the black plastic valance beneath the front bumper.  The black valance  and the front license plate holder were replaced with new factory parts.  There has never been any other damage to the truck.  I had to file a police report in order to get the lady's insurance to pay for my repair so this may have generated a report to CarFax ( I was told that if a police report is filed then the info of the accident goes to CarFax ), but I am not certain as I have never have any reason to buy a CarFax for my own vehicle.

The truck has a little over 197,500 miles as I drove 50 miles daily to work and we always went on trips in the truck.  The truck is in excellent operational condition and is in very nice physical condition as well.  The oil and filter has always been changed on 3,000 mile intervals. The tires are in very good condition and the battery is about 4 months old.

Since the truck is a LARIAT it comes with practically every option available in 2002 except a sunroof.  The truck has a factory AM/FM Radio, Cassette player, and CD Player with Six Disc CD Changer.  It does have the 4X4 option but I have never been off road four wheeling in the truck.  Over the past 12 years I have put it in 4 wheel drive in my yard three or four times just to exercise the 4 wheel drive system.  It also has the factor trailering package.  It also has a Ford factory bed liner.

I am only selling the truck because I am now retired and thought about getting me one last new vehicle before I take that ride off into the sunset.  I'm pricing the truck well below Kelly Blue Book value in hopes of making a quick sale.  Please feel free to ask any questions.  I can be reached at 229 869-3898.

The truck can be picked up in Leesburg, Georgia unless other arrangements are made prior to purchase.  An immediate deposit is required upon purchase and the remainder due by Cash or Bank Cashiers Check when vehicle is picked up.

Ken Block ain't got a care about ruining his wheels

Tue, 22 Jan 2013

During a drifting session at Irwindale Speedway in California, Ken Block made a boo-boo that would send a number of drivers immediately back to the infield. But there's an answer to "What do you do when you bash the wall while drifting and your wheel explodes?" and there's completely different answer when the question begins with the phrase, "When you're Ken Block..."
Instead of us telling you how Block handled the calamity in his Ford Fiesta competition car, you can watch it happen in the video below. You can probably also guess what it is - but it's more fun to watch.

Ford Mustang hit by Moore' Oklahoma's EF5 tornado lives to do another burnout

Fri, 07 Jun 2013

Oklahoma recently saw the destructive power of an EF5 tornado, but in the aftermath of the devastation, we've also been witness to the incredible resilience of the human spirit. Moore, OK resident Jack Haden survived the storm but found that his 2003 Ford Mustang wasn't quite as lucky. As you can see in the image above, the tornado's 200+ mph winds did quite a number on the car, but while most people would have likely called their insurance company and scrapped the car, Haden had other plans.
After finding the car and seeing that its V6 still fired up, Haden spent a couple hours getting the car, um... roadworthy(?)... by removing the doors and front clip, cutting off the roof and putting on some new wheels and tires. He noticed that driving it around brought some comic relief to an area that needed a reason to laugh and smile. Check out the KSBI TV news report video below showing before and after pictures of the tough 'Stang, as well as a video showing the newly lightweight coupe doing a smoky burnout.

Ford looks to space robots to improve car-to-car communications [w/video]

Wed, 21 Aug 2013

Ford has partnered with St. Petersburg Polytechnic University for three years to research various kinds of connected vehicle communications. The university tie-up is part of its study of space robots, NASA systems created to enable space-to-Earth communication, and the university's own development of systems that enable communication between the International Space State and Earth.
The objective is for Ford to engineer layers of robust networks and redundancy systems that will allow your car to speak to other cars, to emergency vehicles, to infrastructure like traffic lights and buildings, and to the cloud. Benefits would come in just about every area of transit, from avoiding accidents, to getting medical workers to an accident more quickly, to improving the flow of traffic during rush hour.
Check out the press release below for details on what Ford wants to learn from the JUSTIN Humanoid and NASA Robonaut R2, and a video of technical leader Oleg Gusikhin discussing his interest in the project.
