This is a very clean truck inside and out.Never used for work.Mileage is going form Flordia to Roanoke and back many times a year.My Uncle is now in a nursing home so I am selling for him. This was his pride and joy truck.Excellent on gas I believe it get 23 MPG on highway. It is a long bed extended cab with tinted slide rear windaw and two that tilt out in the extended cad behind tha front seat.I have been cleaning it and having it serviced and am starting to appreciate it myself. On the 27th of September (last friday) I had it serviced:oil changed, tires rotated, new brake pads, inspection, greased. In january my Uncle had work done which included a new exhaust system (duel system) with stainless exhaust tips at the rear bumper and I am trying to find out what kind of muffler because" I like their sound" but due to a stroke he cannot tell me.He also in January put four new tires on the truck. He also had a new transmission put in by Ford because he Felt the milage would warrent the Need so that's what he did!!.Now the interior is very clean and never smoked in.it also has heated seats, and over the rear view mirrow above is the outside temperture and direction compas.Has power exterior mirrows on both doors. It is equiped with a Reese Factory Hitch.A nearly new bed liner. It also had a Tonto cover on the bed but he has left it in florida.Tha paint is excellent since it was always kept in a garage on both ends of travel. If the pictures do not show enough or you have Questions call me at 276-233-1485 Rob between 8:30 am and 11:00 am or just leave a message and I will return your call.I cannot do text so I need a voice,thank-you for looking....

To answer a question it does have a CD player I am not sure if it holds more than one or not but I believe it does.It has cruze control. The seats are manuel to move and adjust, but do have heat a botton on the side low down next to the door, and both are heated. The rear end is' limited slip" which is hugh to get traction on a climb or in snow. The bed is perfact condition and the bed liner is like new.it was installed some time ago but with a tonto cover it is as new condition.Do call between 8:30 and 11:00 AM and I can answer your questions....

Jay Leno is far beyond driven in his 1971 Pantera
Mon, 23 Jun 2014Perhaps it's fitting that the band Pantera is known for its heavy metal music, because the DeTomaso Pantera is the automotive equivalent of a metal album. It's short, aggressive and makes a mean sound. It doesn't mess around either, with a Ford 351-cubic-inch (5.75-liter) V8 sending mountains of torque to the rear wheels. This week, Jay Leno takes us on a detailed tour of his '71 to show why it rocks.
There's a regular format to Jay Leno's Garage. It starts with Jay and maybe a guest taking a look at the car and talking about its history, and then they take it out on the open road. However, this video is practically a Pantera buyer's guide. Jay is adamant from the start that the last thing anyone should own is a stock example. To remedy this, he and his guest, the editor of the Pantera Club magazine, take viewers to school about some of the ways to turn them into even better performance machines.
No matter what you do to it, though, the Pantera requires that the driver adapt to it, not the other way around. For example, Jay isn't a big guy by most standards, but he has to cram himself into the cockpit with his shoes off and shirt partially unbuttoned just to go for a drive. Still, once out on the road, it all makes sense with that rumbling V8 and those Italian supercar looks. Scroll down to watch and learn a lot more about this uncompromising '70s performance car.

Malcolm Gladwell reflects on engineering, recalls, and compromise
Thu, Apr 30 2015Journalist Malcolm Gladwell has made a career taking on big, complicated topics and humanizing them to make the unwieldy understandable. He has already done this in bestsellers like The Tipping Point and Outliers, and now he has brought the same approach to automotive recalls in a long piece for The New Yorker. The article titled The Engineer's Lament is framed around an interview with the former head of Ford's recall office about the famous Ford Pinto campaign where the position of the compact's fuel tank could cause it to explode in rear-end collisions. Plus, there are detours into Toyota's unintended acceleration cases and the General Motors ignition switch problem. While all the history is illuminating, the heart of the story comes from an examination at the thought process of engineers, and how their thinking differs from other professions. Gladwell comes off as sympathetic to auto engineers in this piece. While he admits that they often approach problems in a sterile way, the writer doesn't try point that out as a failing. It's merely a fact to be understood. The story itself is quite lengthy, but well worth a read if you have the time for an insiders view into how these recalls are assessed on the inside.
