Rare 1967 F100 4x4 If you're looking for your next restoration, or an investment quality daily driver take a close look at these pictures. Solid rust-free Arizona body, 4 wheel drive and dealer installed A/C. Very original and unmolested. Still wearing it's original paint! The interior is unbelievable. The original rubber floor mat and seat cover are in perfect condition. EVERYTHING works: all the gauges, headlights, taillights, turn signals, wipers, heater, horn, cab light, ICE COLD AIR, even the door locks work perfectly. Majority of the dash board is nice, but the speaker area is torn out. The cab and front end are amazing as well.....rust free and straight. Look at that grill! The doors shut and latch like new. Please note: there a small dent on the upper left corner of the hood (Please see picture). The weather stripping is all intact and still keeps the cab dry. The wing windows and roll-up windows work beautifully. Overall the bed is nice, but as you can see from the pics, the lower portion of the passenger side will need repair. driver's bed side is very straight and the tailgate is near perfect with only one dent on the top. The inside of the bed is flawless. "This vehicle did not have to go to work every day"
The 352 c.i. 2bbc V8 starts up immediately and runs strong. There is no knocking, tapping, ticking, or ill noises whatsoever. Even with in this desert heat, this truck runs cool with the A/C on high.. This engine does not leak oil or smoke at all. The exhaust system is ultra quiet. The clutch works perfectly and the truck shifts through gears easily. The brakes stop you without pulling either way. And the steering has no excess play. This old truck is surprisingly very easy to drive, and ready to be driven anywhere.
1967 is the first year for this body style and 4 wheel drive was a rare option, making this truck highly desirable. In 1967 there were 204,710 two wheel drive style sides produced and merely 3,455 four wheel drives produced. In the latter years the 4 wheel drive became quite common. Please note: The front driveshaft has been removed and is in the bed of the truck. To travel, the previous owner removed the low rear-end gears in lieu of highway gears. The original gear set is included in the yellow bucket (seen in the pics). If you're looking for an "investment-quality" daily driver or have been searching for a rust-free 1967 4x4 worthy of a frame-off restoration, then this is your truck. If you have any questions on the truck, please feel free to call me Randy 480-292-0321 This pickup is listed for sale locally, and could sell at any time. Serious buyers may want to call and not wait for the auction to end. Thank you.
On Oct-30-13 at 06:57:04 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note- there are two aux fuel tanks, one on each side. Except for the original hood which was primered to prevent surface rust... this is factory original paint! Straight, clean, original sheet-metal and NO hidden Bondo!
Thanks again, Randy |

2015 Ford Edge holds line on pricing, starts at $28,100*
Tue, 04 Nov 2014The Ford Edge gets an updated platform, bolder styling and a standard 2.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost engine pumping out 245 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque for the 2015 model year. You might expect that all those new features would result in a big price bump, but you'd be wrong. Ford is keeping costs identical to the 2014 model with a starting MSRP of $28,100 (*plus an $895 destination charge), according to Edmunds. Ford spokesperson William Mattiace confirmed the numbers to Autoblog.
That's a pretty good deal, but the real ticket here might be the model's Sport trim. Buyers get a 2.7-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 EcoBoost engine with over 300 horsepower and standard adaptive steering for $28,600 plus destination. That's just $500 more than the base model.
Pricing for the Titanium trim has not yet been announced, but it'll be a short wait to find out. Mattiace tells Autoblog that full pricing and the configuration for the model will launch on November 5. He has also confirmed that the 2015 Edge will begin hitting dealers in the first quarter of 2015.
Ford partnering with MIT, Stanford on autonomous vehicle research
Fri, 24 Jan 2014Ask any car engineer what's the biggest variable in achieving fuel economy targets, and he'll tell you "the driver." If one human can't understand human driving behavior enough to be certain about an innocuous number like miles per gallon, how is an autonomous car supposed to figure out what hundreds of other drivers are going to do in the course of a day? Ford has enlisted the help of Stanford and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to find out.
Starting with the automated Fusion Hybrid introduced in December, MIT will be developing algorithms that driverless cars can use to "predict actions of other vehicles and pedestrians" and objects within the three-dimensional map provided by its four LIDAR sensors.
The Stanford team will research how to extend the 'vision' of that LIDAR array beyond obstructions while driving, analogous to the way a driver uses the entire width of a lane to see what's ahead of a larger vehicle in front. Ford says it wants to "provide the vehicle with common sense" as part of its Blueprint for Mobility, preparing for an autonomous world from 2025 and beyond.
Ford only automaker to make 2012 Buzz Rankings, Toyota most improved
Wed, 30 Jan 2013Ford landed itself a spot among the top 10 brands in the 2012 Buzz Rankings. The annual index scores 1,100 brands in 41 categories to determine which nameplates had the most positive buzz throughout the year.
For the third year in a row, Subway took the top honors overall with a score of 40.3, and Ford was the only automaker to break into the top 25 by earning a sixth-place finish overall. The manufacturer earned a score of 32.1 points, which was enough to push it up one spot from the 2011 Buzz Rankings. Honda managed 21.2 points overall, which is still well behind 25th-place Kohl's at 26.5 points. Toyota, Volkswagen and BMW all round out the top five automakers.
The 2012 Buzz Rankings also keep track of which brands improved the most over the past year, and this year, Toyota was the manufacturer with the largest leap forward. The Japanese automaker jumped from just 14 points in 2011 to 20.5 in 2012. Chrysler, Kia, Dodge and Volkswagen all saw sizable steps forward as well. Be sure to head over to the Brand Index site for more information.
