I have a really cool Ford F100 rat rod for sale. I am only the 3rd owner in 50 years. It has real patina weathered paint. Really one of a kind. Everything works on this truck except the fuel gauge and wipers. It's has a recently rebuilt 429 big block. RUNS AND DRIVES GOOD. New battery. New Glass pack mufflers. The carb could use a rebuild but it does fine. It has been lowered 3" up front and 4" in the back. It's bouncy but I like it. You can bag it if you would like too. It has leaf springs front and back. It's got rust but not a lot. bed floor is the worst spot. Just surface otherwise. What it does have is Tons of style. Gets tons of looks and comments. You can't go anywhere without talking to someone about it. It could be restored back easy but I think it's cool as it sits. Clear title in hand. Florida Truck. Trades Considered. Xcar celebrates 100-year anniversary with Model T tribute
Fri, Jan 9 2015Never mind the fact that XCar hasn't been making videos for the last 100 years, the British duo have gone all silent-moving-pictures in order to make their centenary case for the Ford Model T, a car that was already seven years old in 1915. It's not a review, but a mostly sepia-tinged look at the car that started the mass-market adventure by taking that biblical advice to be fruitful and multiply and populate the Earth abundantly. Since it looks like Xcar is celebrating some kind of milestone, we've also included another video below of the first Xcar review we could find, covering the BMW M1, from the much more recent past - circa 2012.
Ford looks to space robots to improve car-to-car communications [w/video]
Wed, 21 Aug 2013Ford has partnered with St. Petersburg Polytechnic University for three years to research various kinds of connected vehicle communications. The university tie-up is part of its study of space robots, NASA systems created to enable space-to-Earth communication, and the university's own development of systems that enable communication between the International Space State and Earth.
The objective is for Ford to engineer layers of robust networks and redundancy systems that will allow your car to speak to other cars, to emergency vehicles, to infrastructure like traffic lights and buildings, and to the cloud. Benefits would come in just about every area of transit, from avoiding accidents, to getting medical workers to an accident more quickly, to improving the flow of traffic during rush hour.
Check out the press release below for details on what Ford wants to learn from the JUSTIN Humanoid and NASA Robonaut R2, and a video of technical leader Oleg Gusikhin discussing his interest in the project.
