I have a 1961 Ford f100 unibody long bed up for grabs. This is a really cool old forest service truck that still has it's original patina paint that people are after these days.

This would make an awesome candidate for a slammed down patina hot rod!

It has a 223 6 that runs pretty good but is starting to puff blue smoke when I take off from a stop light after it warms up. The clutch is also staring to go away.

This is a very solid truck for 53 years old with the exception of some spots in the floors, front cab mounts, front of the hood (see pics and video).

The heater and wipers work the turn signals horn and gas gauge do not. There is a new turn signal switch that comes with the truck (uninstalled). The truck has a brand new gas tank and sending unit but I think the sending unit is no good? I pulled it out of the tank and hooked it up and raised the float all the way up then the needle on the gauge went up. Truck only has fuel and temp gauge, oil and charge are lights.Temp gauge works. There is a crack in the windshield, the rest of the glass is good. The doors need new anti rattlers, and could probably use a whole new rubber set through out the truck. The speedo works but bounces around a bit and the odometer shows 71,000 miles and judging by the condition of the interior it might be right, although I cannot confirm this.

This is a really nice, really complete, clean old truck that is kind of rare and worth fixing up in whatever direction you decide to go, stock, lowrider, gasser, ratrod, hotrod, or whatever.

Ford gives police chiefs tech to surveil officers in their own cars

Police officers certainly have a difficult job in keeping the streets safe, but as public employees in positions of authority, there is still a very real need for oversight. To that end, Ford is partnering with a tech company to offer a new system called Ford Telematics for Law Enforcement on its line of Police Interceptor patrol vehicles that could make cops safer, while giving cities a better idea of what its officers are doing.
The system streams live data about cruisers back to the home base to people like the police chief or shift supervisor. That info includes expected things like speed, location and cornering acceleration, but it gets incredibly granular as well, with records of things like if emergency lights are on, or even if an officer is wearing a seatbelt.
Ford Telematics for Law Enforcement "ought to protect officers as much as it protects the public," said Ford spokesperson Chris Terry to Autoblog. Constantly monitoring patrol cars offers cities a lot of advantages, too. First, it reduces potential liability because a department can prove where each vehicle is at all times. Also, officers know they are being watched and may potentially drive more safely.

Montreal drivers experienced a slow-motion pileup on their streets this weeks thanks to the first snow fall of the season. According to the CBC, slippery conditions caused a small pileup involving cars, buses and even a street clearing vehicle. Onlookers in neighboring office buildings watched as vehicle after vehicle slid down Cote du Beaver Hall and crashed into the scrum of waiting cars. First there was a city bus, then a white Ford F-150 work truck loaded down with ladders, then another city bus came along and sandwiched the poor F-150. A Montreal Police Charger then came down the hill backwards, hit the bus in a slow, sad crash before it was crashed into by an out of control plow truck. Since its posting yesterday, the video of the crash has gone viral. Various other vehicles–a green-topped Scion delivery truck and a couple workaday sedansÂ–were lucky enough to escape the pileup, but still suffered through a white-knuckled slippery descent down the hill. Colin Creado, who works nearby the crash site, told the CBC although it was pretty slippery, he was surprised at all the carnage since the storm was forecast well in advance. "You would have thought ... they would have salted the area or at least cordoned it off, because that road is pretty steep," he told the station.
