Low reserve!! This is a 1961 Ford F-100 pickup truck. It's a CustomCab Unibody model. As far as I am aware, it's all original (with the exception of the paint, and seat cover). Has all four original mag wheels, has all four original bottle cap hub caps, original chrome grill, radio etc. Glass is in good shape-- no cracks, just one small chip on the windshield. 292 V8, manual, floor shift. Odometer reads 24,158 miles. Body is in pretty good shape, considering it's 50+ years old. Would make a great restoration candidate, or rat rod, hot rod option. Note: I have the chrome horn attachment for the steering wheel, and the cab photo shows mostly dirt, not rust. Have the original keys as well.
I have seen a lot of unibodies out there, and they usually have some gnarly dents. Is the body perfect? No, but there's nothing major that can't be easily taken care of. Engine turns over no problem, with newer battery. Was running, however it just doesn't quite get there at the moment. I am told it's the fuel pump (dry at the tip). Easy, cheap fix. Ford celebrates 1 millionth Mustang built at Flat Rock
Thu, 18 Apr 2013Yesterday, the Ford Mustang turned 49 years old, and Ford didn't miss the opportunity to celebrate the one millionth version of the Mustang rolling off the assembly line at the Flat Rock Assembly plant. Production of the Mustang at Flat Rock coincided with the fifth-generation design launching in 2004, and the one millionth car was the car shown above, a 2014 GT convertible painted in Ruby Red.
In total, Ford has sold more than 8.5 million Mustangs since the original car went on sale, but some of the key milestones over the car's nine years at Flat Rock include the Shelby GT-H, Bullitt, Boss 302 and, of course, the 662-horsepower Shelby GT500. I felt like such a rock star. On my second pass around the UrbanCross course (read: fancy autocross) at the Ford ST Octane Academy, I absolutely nailed the exit, sliding the bright-yellow Focus ST sideways into a box the size of a parking space, all four wheels in line.
Ford Focus EV's slow sales trigger massive incentives
Fri, 25 Jan 2013The Detroit News reports Ford is having real trouble moving its new Focus Electric. As a result, the automaker is offering substantial incentives in an attempt to lure in more buyers. How substantial? Try $10,750 off of a three-year lease. What's more, the EV can now be had for $37,995 ($2,000 less than its original base price) on top of an additional $2,000 cash discount to buy the EV outright - or you can opt for 1.9-percent financing if you work through Ford Motor Credit. None of which factors in various potential government incentives. Last year, Ford managed to sell a paltry 685 of the 1,627 Focus EV hatchbacks it built.
Ford isn't alone in trying to woo more buyers to its EV effort. Nissan cut the price of its Leaf by a whopping 18 percent for 2013, now down to $28,800 and built in the USA. The move followed the automaker's substantial incentives in 2012.
If you want a Focus Electric, you can now apparently get your hands on one for as little as $285 per month with $930 due at signing for a 36-month lease with 10,500 miles per year.
