For Sale 1956 Ford F100 Custom Cab w. completely overhauled 1956 T-Bird 312 Y-Block (NO RESERVE).

OK, I TRY THIS AGAIN! THIS TIME ONLY SERIOUS BUYERS PLEASE, NO "EXPERTS" THAT WANT TO HELP ME SELLING THE TRUCK!! ALSO, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS TRUCK IF YOU WONDER ABOUT THE PRICE! IT IS PRICED TO SELL TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER TOY! IF IT DOES NOT SELL THIS TIME AROUND I WILL SHOW IT AT THE CHARLOTTE AUTO FAIR IN 3 WEEKS IF YOU WANT TO SEE IT. THANKS

This is a very solid all steel truck! It sounds great and runs very strong, I drive it every week ever since the engine was totally rebuild about 10 month ago. I love to run errands with it and go to the local car shows! I'm the third owner and the second owner purchased the Truck in 1975 and restored it about 15 years ago, but it needed a professional engine overhaul. The Truck has been kept inside since for many years. The body is super straight, the tilt hood needs some adjustment. The truck is rust and bondo free with one exception, the passenger door has some minor rust on the lower door panel, see picture. Paint is of older restoration, looks good but has normal scratches and scuffs (see pictures), but absolutely no dents! Steel floor boards, original steel fenders, truck bed and hood!

I hate to sell it, but I got too many toys as it is. This truck is very solid with thousands of dollars in engine work alone. Receipt and detailed pictures available upon sale.

This is not one of these boring Restomods!!! This is your authentic 1956 F100 with the brand and time period correct engine upgrade!!

NHTSA and Ford investigating steering issues in Crown Vic, Grand Marquis and Marauder

Fri, 11 Jul 2014

There may be more steering woes for the Ford Crown Victoria. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened a preliminary evaluation into the Crown Vic and Mercury Grand Marquis from the 2004 to 2007 model years and the Mercury Marauder for the 2004 and 2005 model years because the steering shaft can jam. The issue could potentially affect an estimated 500,000 vehicles.
According to the regulator, there is a possibility that the driver's side heat shield for the exhaust manifold can rust, dislodge, and then wedge into the steering shaft. If this occurs, it leads to a situation where the driver can no longer control the car.
NHTSA has received five complaints of this happening, including one alleged case with an injury. In that situation, the car was driving onto the highway, lost control and rolled over. One occupant was hurt in the accident.

Ford overlooks the Big Apple in the 2015 Mustang Convertible [w/video]

Wed, 16 Apr 2014

Ford has done it again. Like in April of 1964, there is once again an all-new Mustang Convertible sitting on the observation deck of New York City's Empire State Building. This has been in the making for a little while, with the first report that Ford would recreate the sky-high publicity stunt coming out a few weeks back.
The process of getting the Mustang up there wasn't exactly easy. A Troy, MI-based company chopped up the new droptop, a necessary evil to get the Mustang on the Empire State Building's only freight elevator that runs to the 86th floor observation deck. But it was slightly more involved than just taking the car apart. The company, DST, built a mockup of the ESB's freight elevators, and then practiced its cuts on a second pre-production Mustang Convertible (measure twice, cut once).
The result of all this work are the images you see above. Yes, sitting in the crisp, morning air of midtown Manhattan, over 1,000 feet up, is this brilliant, Triple Yellow Mustang. Take a look up top for our gallery of images from today's event. You can also scroll down for videos and images of the process leading up to the ESB debut.

Ford-sponsored survey says a third of Brits have snapped a 'selfie' while driving [w/videos]

Fri, 08 Aug 2014

Talking on the phone while driving isn't advisable, and texting while driving is downright dangerous. Considering those truths, the fact that we even need to point this out this is incredibly disturbing: taking "selfies" while behind the wheel is exceptionally stupid. But, it's a thing that a third of 18- to 24-year-old British drivers have copped to doing, according to a new study from Ford.
Ford, through its Driving Skills for Life program, surveyed 7,000 smartphone owners from across Europe, all aged between 18 and 24, and found that young British drivers were more likely to snap a selfie while behind the wheel than their counterparts in Germany, France, Romania, Italy, Spain and Belgium.
According to the study, the average selfie takes 14 seconds, which, while traveling at 60 miles per hour, is long enough to travel over the length of nearly four football fields (the Ford study uses soccer fields, but we translated it to football, because, you know, America). That's an extremely dangerous distance to not be focused on the road.
