You are viewing a 1993 Ford XLT Explorer in good cosmetic condition inside and outside.Mechanically, this truck has had a rebuilt motor installed about 20,000 miles ago.The truck does need a new battery(trouble starting) and the front left tire needs fixed.( the person who worked on it did not properly install the rotor and brakes.(brakes and rotor are new) This truck also had a transmission fluch and change within this year.As a result the tire wobbles but should be an easy fix for a mechanically inclined person.Due to the tire wobble it would need to be towed unless you can fix on site.This truck has a bug shield,fog lights, and a heavy duty steel brush guard.In addition it has a tow hitch on the back.This is a nice looking truck overall and could be a great truck with a little work.Kelley Blue book value of this truck in only fair condition is 1900.Take a serious look at this one for the price.This would be a great truck with a little work. The tires and parts are worth more than the price.This is not a piece of junk like some of the other ones you see for the price. This is also listed locally so don't hold back if you are interested.

Automakers tussle over owners of 'orphan' makes
Thu, 10 May 2012When General Motors put down several of its brands in recent years, it also let loose thousands of brand-loyal customers who will eventually need another car.
R.L. Polk Associates estimates there are more than 18 million cars from 16 discontinued makes on the road today. Those "orphan owners" have sales-hungry competitors seeing dollar signs. GM is offering Saturn owners $1,000 cash toward a Chevy Cruze, Cadillac CTS or a GMC Acadia. Ford is giving its Mercury lease customers a chance to get out of their contracts with no early-termination penalty and offering to waive six remaining payments if they drive off in a Ford or Lincoln.
Edmunds.com research shows the efforts are paying off somewhat for GM, with 39 percent of Pontiac owners, 37 percent of Hummer owners and 31 percent of Saturn owners taking delivery of another GM-branded vehicle. But that leaves as much as 69 percent of owners going elsewhere. Ford, Honda and Toyota seem to be attracting many former GM owners.
