Terms of Sale:  The winning bidder MUST contact us within 24 hours of the auction end and make payment arrangements at that time.  A $500.00 deposit is due within 24 hours of the auction end.  Deposits are non-refundable.  The remainder of the balance is due within 5 days of auction end.  If contact is not made within 24 hours of auction end we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next highest bidder or sell it otherwise.  All vehicles are sold free and clear with no liens.  Autocheck will show when a lien is issued but they never show when a lien is satisfied.  A license dealer cannot sell a vehicle if it has a lien on it.  We are a licensed dealer.    Our email address is urban_auto@sbcglobal.net.  Any other address is not ours.  Beware of scams.  Call us if you have questions about authenticity of postings.  You must be 18 years of age or older to bid.  Your bid constitutes a legally binding contract to purchase this vehicle.

Financing:  We accept cash, bank/credit union wire transfer or certified funds.  Be aware, many banks or credit unions do not finance vehicles older than 1995 or with more than 100K miles.  Please arrange financing prior to bidding.  Make sure your financial institution accepts the year and mileage of the vehicle before bidding. We accept cash in person, bank wire transfer or cashier’s check (with clearance time which can vary). 

Fees:  Out of state buyers are not charged tax, title or license fees.  The customer is responsible for registering the vehicle in their home state.  We will give the buyer the appropriate paperwork at the time of sale.  Out of state buyers are required to pay the documentation fee.  In state buyers will be charged state and local taxes, title, registration and documentary fees.  As a dealer, we are responsible for filing your registration and title transfer with the county of your choice.  We will provide you with temporary license plates and your metal plates and title will be mailed to you by the county.  Our documentation fee is $100.00.  The documentation fee is added to the cost of every vehicle for all customers and dealers. 

Receiving your vehicle:  The buyer is responsible for the pickup of this vehicle.  Please call us PRIOR to making your arrangements to pick up the vehicle so we may schedule a mutually agreeable time and date.  If you are flying in, we are happy to provide transportation from Austin Bergstrom International Airport to our dealership.  If you are having your vehicle shipped please let us know.  Shipping will not be scheduled until all funds have cleared. 

Warranty:  All our vehicles are sold as-is with no warranty.  As-is means there is no warranty expressed, written or implied on the vehicle.  Please remember you are buying a used vehicle.  This vehicle has appropriate cosmetic and mechanical wear for the age and mileage of the vehicle.  As with any pre-owned vehicle there may be unforeseen repairs in the future.  We cannot predict the future reliability of your purchase.  Since you are buying this vehicle online and may not be able to view the vehicle in person before bidding, we do offer a money back guarantee, please read the terms below carefully.  When the money back guarantee expires all issues pertaining to this vehicle are your sole responsibility.  We make every effort to disclose any known significant defect associated with the vehicle.  We don’t sell flood or salvaged vehicles.  All our vehicles are inspected, serviced and safety checked by a professional technician. 

Money Back Guarantee:  We offer a money back guarantee on all completed sales.  When you come to our dealership to pick up your vehicle the money back guarantee begins immediately upon signing the paperwork and is valid for 24 hours or if you are driving your vehicle out of state, when you reach the Texas border (whichever comes first).  If you wish to implement the money back guarantee you MUST immediately contact us at 512-284-7327 within the 24 hours.  If we do not answer for some reason leave a detailed message as to your need and we will call you back asap.  If you do not talk to someone or leave a message you have not implemented the money back guarantee.  You must bring the vehicle immediately back to our dealership and you will receive a 100% refund.  If you are having your vehicle shipped the money back guarantee starts the minute the vehicle leaves our dealership.  If the vehicle is shipped you are responsible for transportation costs both ways.  At the end of the 24 hour inspection period (or when reaching the Texas border) the money back guarantee expires.  No exception.

Emissions:   The following is copied from the Travis County Tax Assessor page regarding emission requirements for Travis County.  In Texas there are emissions and non-emissions counties.  Please see your local taxing authority for specific requirements in your area.

Emissions Requirements

If you are titling a vehicle that was last registered in another state OR in a non-emissions county in Texas, you will need to provide proof that your vehicle has passed emissions inspection by taking it to an inspection station here in Travis County. Acceptable documentation to meet this requirement includes...

... an original Vehicle Inspection Report (VIR) that is less than 90 days old.

... a copy of a VIR issued by the Department of Public Safety (DPS) certifying that the vehicle is Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) compliant.

If a gasoline-powered vehicle was last registered in a non-emissions Texas County but is less than 2 years old with under 50,000 miles, it does not require an emissions test. Please contact DPS for further clarification about these requirements.

Vehicles being titled by our office that were last registered in any other county besides those listed below must provide proof of emissions inspection as part of their title transfer documentation: Brazoria, Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, El Paso, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Johnson, Kaufman, Montgomery, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant, Travis, Williamson

The following vehicles are exempt from all emissions requirements regardless of county of last registration: - all motorcycles (or other two-wheeled vehicles), - diesel-powered vehicles, - dual-fueled vehicles, - antique vehicles, - vehicles 24 years old or older, - vehicles 2 years old or newer, - vehicles with an odometer reading of less than 50,000 miles, - recording or removing a lien holder from a title where ownership does not change, - "title-only" title transfers (once the vehicle is working again it will require a new Vehicle Inspection Report)
