You are looking at my 2000 ford expedition XLT 4x4. Please take time to read as this is my baby and I want this truck to go to someone who will appreciate it.  First off these 5.4 trition generation one expeditions where the best made truck as compared to the new ones.  you can expect by the way way this truck has been maintained meticulously and you can expect to get at least another 200,000 miles out of this truck.

History of this truck it was ordered and built here in Wayne Michigan and shipped to Redwood City in California where it stayed until 2011 and I purchased it and had it shipped to Michigan where it went directly to a Ziebart company for rustproofing and sound deadening.  3 months after that I moved to Nashville Tennessee and spent 6 months there, I then brought the truck back to Michigan.
My point is here that this truck has never seen snow or salt.  Last winter it was parked in the garage from November to March and brought out. Im 50 years  old and I would rather give up one of my kids than this truck.

The first day out I left it parked in the street like a dummy and someone keyed both sides of the truck. (most likely the Ex-wife) I took the truck to Pauls Quality Collision and had the whole truck repainted to the tune of $4000,00...thank God for insurance.(have all receipts) So, it has a brand new paint job base coat clear coat.  The did not re-paint the roof.  I have all the picture of its progress all the way through the re-paint. New LED head lights and tail lights.

Here is what I have done to the truck since purchase and have all the receipts to back it up. When I bought the truck it had 77,000 miles on it...I changed all fluids (motor, trans, transfer case, both front and rear differentials) all to synthetic.  Coolant system was flushed and replaced with new coolant and a rust inhibitor.

Complete new carpet and padding, 4 new Kelly safari all season white letter tires, both lower ball joints, Alignment, new spare tire mount (Ford Part), New rear wiper motor, (Ford Part) New 240 amp alternator, new high torque starter, new A/C compressor, new TPS switch, new Coolant sensor, K&N air filter, New brakes front and rear, tune-up, Has keyless entry with remote start, has 450 power inverter to run laptop, charge phones, has laptop mount, custom interior lighting. front brush guard, Has a additional deep transmission pan with cooling tubes and drain plug, also has a Edge CS programmer, I get 17 to 19mpg on city driving & 20 to 22mpg on the freeway with the cruise set at 72mph.

Im sure I missed a couple of odds and ends, but have all service records along with receipts.  You could get in this truck and drive it anywhere with out any problems for the next 200k.  if your looking for a truck that is clean and been properly maintained this is it...NO BULLSHIT.  I have a respectable reserve set but will NOT reveal it so please dont ask me.  this truck will not disappoint anyone!

I have many more pictures, please email me @ bakeredition@gmail.com, and I will send you more or if you have question please call me @ 734-652-2746

Ford C-Max spot aimed squarely at Cadillac ELR 'Poolside' hubris [UPDATE]

Thu, Mar 27 2014

If we had tried to predict the first video response to the controversial Poolside video for the Cadillac ELR, we would not have thought it would center on compost. But, hey, it's always nice to be reminded that the real world is sometimes better than fiction. Instead of the chic swagger of 'Poolside,' 'Anything Is Possible' is all about getting dirty. The new short in question is called Upside: Anything Is Possible and it promotes two things: Detroit Dirt and the Ford C-Max Energi. As in the ELR ad, Ford's plug-in C-Max only makes an appearance at the tail end of the spot, but instead of the chic swagger of Poolside, Anything Is Possible is all about getting dirty. The ad stars Pashon Murray, co-founder of Detroit Dirt, which takes natural waste from around Detroit, composts it into soil and then spreads that around "forgotten parcels" of Detroit to create urban farms. Detroit Dirt gets its bio-waste from a lot of sources, including the Detroit Zoological Society (all that herbivore manure has to go somewhere), Ford and General Motors, but this particular ad was the idea of Ford's PR agency, Team Detroit. It was a frenetic shoot, filmed with an LA-based director right after a big winter storm blew through Detroit, and Murray couldn't be happier with the result. "This was Ford Motor Company pushing my story, letting me tell the story that I believe in," Murray tells AutoblogGreen. "I get to help push this car and I get to tell my story." She says that the Team Detroit and Ford had to agree on the message, "from my understanding, [YouTube] is where they wanted to start, not where they wanted to finish." The ad is already getting a positive response on Twitter, so we won't be surprised if it shows up in more places soon. "It's not saying Ford is better than GM. It's telling the story of a black woman who's working hard in Detroit." As Detroit Dirt has off-screen support from both GM and Ford, it's unsurprising to hear Murray say that the video "is not a rivalry thing." She notes that the ad agency Team Detroit came to her and offered to tell the Detroit Dirt story using the framework of the GM ad. "It's a parody on this commercial, but it's not saying Ford is better than GM," she said. "It's telling the story of a black woman who's working hard in Detroit." What is that story? It's about urban farming, recovery and recycling. Murray tells us that for the last seven or eight years, she's been dedicated to sustainability.

Ford EV Chief: 150 kW fast charging could be the norm

Fri, May 1 2015

Ford's electrified-vehicle sales aren't exactly at the top of the charts this year, but that hasn't stopped Mike Tinskey, the automaker's global director of electrification and infrastructure, from being rather enthusiastic about advancements in various forms of more environmentally sustainable mobility. Tinskey, in an interview with The Verge, spoke of a world with really fast plug-in vehicle chargers. And of vehicles that can be re-parked using a remote driver. How fun. Tinskey, who touts SAE/combo fast-charging charging specification as the most likely to take the global leadership position, said a 150-kilowatt charger could be on the market "very soon." That'd mean an electric vehicle could be 80-percent recharged in just 20 minutes. Today's quickest units, the Tesla Supercharger, can crank out up to 120 kW. Some companies are touting 100-kW charging times, despite the lack of compatible chargers. Tinskey also spoke about Ford studies of a so-called "Remote Repositioning" feature, which would allow cars to be re-parked at night using a remote driver over a cellular network as spaces empty up, cutting down traffic, needless driving and pollution as a result. We're sure ready for such a thing. Through the first quarter of this year, sales of Ford's hybrids, plug-in hybrids and electric vehicles are down 28 percent from a year earlier to about 15,000 units. Sounds like those improvements Tinskey speaks of can't come soon enough. Featured Gallery 2012 Ford Focus Electric: Quick Spin View 18 Photos News Source: The Verge Green Ford

How did Ford keep the GT a secret before Detroit?

Mon, Feb 2 2015

True secrecy is a rarity in the automotive industry. Sure, companies try to keep their future projects under wraps all of the time, but usually a spy shot or blurry development photo leaks out. The complete lack of any hard details before its unveiling likely helped make the Ford GT one of the biggest stars of the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. Not only was it the favorite of Autoblog's editors, but the supercar scored a prestigious EyesOn Design Award, too. Rumors about the vehicle had circulated for weeks before the show, but no one really knew much about the GT until it rolled onto the stage for Ford's press conference in Joe Louis Arena. Amazingly, the Blue Oval kept things mostly a secret during the car's 14- month gestation period prior to its debut. According to Automotive News, the GT project began in late 2013 by a skunk works team, including six designers, that guided the supercar along from birth until the unveiling. Ford kept things clandestine by locking the vehicle in a basement storage room, and only the group members got a key to the lock. Much of the development was also done at night to further keep the secret, but occasionally the prototype was hauled outside on weekends to check it out in natural light. Because of the speed in getting the development done and for even more stealth, the designers didn't get input from the Blue Oval's other styling teams around the world. But that was somewhat of a double-edged sword. "You don't actually get to bounce opinions off people," Ford design boss Moray Callum said to Automotive News. "We were on tenterhooks ourselves until the first people saw it." Even now, there are still mysteries surrounding the GT. There's still no official word on the supercar's power; just that it's over 600 horsepower. There are also the persistent rumors going back months that the Blue Oval plans to take the GT racing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of automaker's Le Mans victory. Although, maybe this time the secrecy wasn't so good because we might have got a glimpse of the racer, recently. Related Video:
