This beautiful SUV has three rows of seats, all leather. It has all the limited features including rear back up sensors and heated mirrors. The Vehicle was bought and then traded into the dealer and my friend bought it right around the 40,000 mile mark. It's had three owners but the 2nd owner was the dealership where my friend bought it in Needles, California. It does not have the usual paint fading because it's been detailed regularly. About 60,000 miles ago, my friend who currently owns it, decided that since he was going to move to Colorado but changed his mind since the demand of his automotive repair business has increased, to stay at least till his daughter graduates high school. This was his wife's primary vehicle for many years and was used for charity functions as well to get back and forth to work. He has rebuilt the transmission and the transfer case. The engine runs perfect and it is the International turbo diesel engine that everyone wants because of it's reliability and longevity. I'm just helping him sell it since I'm disabled and have lots of time. He usually works a 13 hour day and doesn't have time to do this himself. He just recently purchased 4 brand new Toyo Open Country tires and the alignment was done at the same time. It has a surround sound system with a screen for the back seats and a screen in the passenger visor. If you don't want to use the surround sound system it dos come with the wireless headsets. The dvd player in underneath the seat. The excursion has had no power adding aftermarket products as it's powerful enough and it was for the family. It's important to note that it was originally a two wheel drive but the four wheel drive parts were taken off the same year vehicle because his friend didn't want his truck to be four wheel anymore. The parts were put on when the other vehicle had 60,000 miles on them and were inspected and no work was needed. Recently, he did some maintenance on the front end to include new bushings, rotors, wheel bearings, etc... The Excursion has been meticulously maintained not just because he takes care of all of his vehicles that way but also it was being used by his wife and children. Chip Ganassi Racing switches to the Ford EcoBoost-powered Riley Daytona Prototype

Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGRFS) announced yesterday at Ford's SEMA press conference that it will field a Ford-Riley Daytona Prototype with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 in the 2014 United SportsCar Championship (USCC). CGRFS is the second team to commit to the new Ford-Riley car, behind Michael Shank Racing (which has already used the racecar to break a 26-year-old top-speed record at Daytona International Speedway).
"Over the last 10 seasons we have been able to experience a great deal of success in Grand-Am," Chip Ganassi says, "and now with the dawn of the new United SportsCar Championship we feel that Ford power will be a key ingredient to writing the next chapter of our sports car program."
In the last Grand-Am season, CGRFS raced a BMW-Riley Daytona Prototype. The team has won seven Daytona Prototype championships, all in the past ten years. Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas return as the team's prototype co-drivers, and will attend their maiden race in the Ford-Riley at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January.

Fallon picks Ford F-150 King Ranch, launches dealership contest

New truck! Jimmy Fallon of The Tonight Show has been searching for the perfect new truck for a few weeks now, soliciting help from all corners in the process. Last night, Fallon made the announcement that the Ford F-150 King Ranch - in all of its cowboy glory - had been picked as his big winner.
To add some more spice to a storyline that now dips deeply into the realm of the advertorial, Fallon also announced a contest to see which Ford dealership would get the privilege of selling him the King Ranch. Dubbed "Fingers on a 4x4" The Tonight Show has invited 10 dealer reps from around the country to keep their hands on Jimmy's F-150 for as long as possible. Last salesperson standing wins.

The big dune jump and the damage done

The Silver Lake sand dunes see their fair share of well-built trophy trucks executing impressive jumps. Drivers build insane pieces of machinery for the express purpose of sailing through the air like mad men and women.
Mike Higgins is no stranger to the area. His heavily modified Ford trophy truck has gone flying through the sky on more than one occasion, but he recently bit off more than he could chew. After hitting a particularly lofty dune, Higgins went airborne for a ridiculous 180 feet before becoming intimately familiar with the finer points of gravity.
While Higgins nailed the jump, his landing fell short of wowing the judges. The impact very nearly broke his truck in two. Despite the mechanical mayhem, the driver walked away without a scratch, proving that occasionally miracles really do happen.
