I have up for sale a 2005 Ford Excursion Limited 6.0 Diesel Auto 4x4. This truck is very nice and very clean. You will have to search long and hard to find one cleaner than this one. The interior is spotless with VERY nice leather. Looks like a 50,000 mile truck inside and out. It has had a nice lift(4-6") and nice 20" chrome Weld Racing wheels and 35" Mickey Thompson tires. Tires are approx. 50 % remaining. This is loaded with every option available. Power everything, leather seats, towing package with extendable mirrors, aftermarket DVD and 4 headrest TV's plus the factory rear entertainment package with another DVD and dropdown TV. Everything is very nice and clean. As you can see in the vehicle history report the engine was replaced with a factory remanufactured unit by a Ford dealership in Sevierville, TN at 117,038 miles. So you are buying a truck with only 31,000 miles on the engine. This truck runs and drives great. Just did a full service about 2500 miles ago so this truck is ready to roll. I will help with pickup/shipping any way I can. I have a shipper that I have used before and will be glad to get you the best deal on shipping. Please do not ask me to get you a quote. Get a quote and I will see if he can beat it. Any questions please ask! Thanks
**For some reason the engine replacement does not show up on Autocheck. I have a copy of the carfax and it is listed there. If you would like to see this I can email you a copy.
***Also I am selling this truck to buy a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4x4 4 door. I would be interested in a trade if you have a Jeep.

Ford reveals new Galaxy van for Europe [w/video]
Mon, Apr 6 2015Here in its home market, Ford may be focusing more on crossovers, but overseas, minivans are still playing a crucial roll for global automakers. So while the Aerostar, Windstar and Freestar may have given way to the Flex and Edge, over in Europe, the Blue Oval automaker has revealed the all-new fourth-generation Galaxy. Following up on the MPV initially launched in 1995, replaced in 2000 and again in 2006, the new Galaxy features updated styling and equipment to position itself as the luxury counterpart to the sportier S-Max that just relaunched last year. Behind the Aston-style grille that's been finding its way onto just about every new passenger car Ford makes is a range of updated engine options, including two EcoBoost gasoline engines (a 1.5-liter unit with 158 horsepower or a 2.0 with 237) and a 2.0-liter turbo diesel available in states of tune ranging from 118 hp all the way up to 207. The flexible seven-seat cabin features a flat load floor, seats that stow and even deploy at the push of a button and an available full-length retractable panoramic sunroof. The new integral link rear suspension promises a smooth ride, with an available self-leveling feature just one of the many convenience and safety systems integrated into Ford's new European family hauler – the full extent of which you can read in the press release below. On your way down, you may want to check out the stunt which Ford staged with illusionist Darcy Oake to launch the new Galaxy. This content is hosted by a third party. Ford says C-Max mpg reduction has hurt sales
Tue, 22 Apr 2014The Ford C-Max is having a rough time. Sales for the five-door hybrid hatchback were down 39.1 percent in March to 2,295 cars, and sales from January through March were down 42.5 percent to 5,566 units. In an interview with The Detroit News, Ford Americas boss Joe Hinrichs places the blame on lowering the model's fuel economy rating.
"We're definitely seeing consideration on C-Max decline over time. We need to reinvest in the product because it's a great car," said Hinrichs to The Detroit News.
The company was hit with bad publicity over the C-Max when owners in multiple states filed class action lawsuits that alleged the cars weren't able to meet the stated fuel economy. Ford eventually re-rated the model from 47 miles per gallon city, highway and combined to 40 mpg city, 45 mpg highway and 43 mpg combined. To soften the blow of the change, the automaker sent checks to the owners to make up some of the difference. Initially, Ford claimed that demand remained strong for the hybrid. However, the latest sales figures and Hinrichs' statement seem to show the opposite.
Amazon looking to bring Kindle to your next car?
Mon, 25 Feb 2013Maybe so. The online retailer and digital media monolith recently announced the Amazon Cloud Player, an application for Ford Sync that allows users to stream media from their Amazon Cloud account directly to a Ford vehicle. This foray into automotive technology got the minds at Gigaom.com thinking about what could be next for Amazon. As Kevin Fitchard writes, the logical step is to make audio versions of your Kindle library selections available in your car. As he points out, Amazon has already laid the groundwork for such a move.
Amazon pulled the sheets back on Whispersync for Voice last year. The tech pairs ebooks with an Audible book for a small extra fee, allowing users to either read along with a narrator or switch between audio and text versions on command. Fitchard says it wouldn't be some great leap to apply the same principles to a car, where voice recognition software would allow users to pause or select chapters without ever taking their eyes off of the road.
It all sounds just fine to us, but Amazon hasn't said a thing about such a move. Still, we wouldn't be surprised to see the company come down this road in the near future just the same.
