This truck has shift on the fly 4WD. The truck has leather seats, CD changers, power everything. Third row seating. Tires have about 70% treadlife or better. The truck drives great, with no issues. There are all the typical cosmetic issues you would expect from a 13 year old truck. There are paint chips on the front of the hood from driving down the road. There are some stains on the carpet and the drivers seat has a small tear from getting in and out of. The intermittent wipers occasionally go off by themselves, and for this I have ordered a new multifunction switch to resolve. The switch should arrive in the next day or so. It does not seem like the A/C blows very cold. All windows, seats, locks and everything else I could think to check works fine. This is a solid, low mile vehicle. Please ask any questions. I respond to emails quickly. Cash only, no trades. Truck is reliable and ready to go. We have title in"

We have for sale a 2000 Ford Excursion Limited. 113,000 original miles.

Paint is original and decent.  There are stains on the carpet and the drivers seat has a small tear from getting in and out of. The intermittent wipers occasionally go off by themselves, and for this I have ordered a new multifunction switch to resolve. The switch should arrive in the next day or so. I plan on replacing the switch, or it can be included in the purchase.  It does not seem like the A/C blows very cold. All windows, seats, locks and everything else I could think to check works fine.

The truck drives perfectly....brakes, transmission, 4WD, everything.  There are zero drivability issues that I am aware of.  The trunk cranks and runs with no issues.

This is a solid, low mile vehicle. Please ask any questions. I respond to emails quickly. Cash only, no trades. Truck is reliable and ready to go. We have title in hand.

Truck is located in the south side of San Francisco,  next to Daly City.   I will assist getting the truck loaded and or delivered.

NHTSA closes Ford F-150 EcoBoost acceleration probe

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Typically when we report on the findings of an investigation from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, it's because the government body has discovered a safety issue and prescribed a recall. In this case, however, NHTSA has closed an investigation into a reported performance deficit without ever getting to the recall stage.
The issue revolves around the Ford F-150 - specifically those equipped with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine - of which some 360,000 were built in the 2011, 2012 and 2013 model years. After receiving an initial 95 complaints, NHTSA opened an investigation last May - almost a year ago - into the reported issue of reduced engine power under hard acceleration. The agency has since received a total of 525 such complaints, and Ford itself reported receiving over 4,000.
Together, NHTSA and Ford determined that the problem resulted from cylinders misfiring, an issue itself stemming from water getting into the charge air cooler (CAC) mated to the turbochargers. In particularly humid or rainy conditions, water was found to get into the CAC, causing some of the cylinders to misfire, which in turn triggered the ECU to disable those cylinders in order to protect the catalytic converter from damage.

New Ford Police Interceptor tech protects cops' backsides

Mon, 22 Jul 2013

It was only a matter of time before law enforcement agencies would realize the potential of driver-assist technology for use in their Ford Police Interceptors, and, now that they have, those back-up cameras and radar systems won't be used just for parking, but for security, as well.
The surveillance mode system works when the camera or radar detects movement from behind the vehicle, and if it does when it's activated, an alarm will alert the officer inside the car, the driver's side window will roll up and the doors will lock, protecting the officer from an unwanted intrusion. The officer, of course, has the option to turn surveillance mode off, mainly in urban areas where pedestrians would constantly set the alarm off, and it can only be activated when the police car is in park.
Randy Freiburger, Ford's police and ambulance fleet supervisor, came up with the patent-pending idea when researching the needs of police officers and riding along with them, during which time he realized officers would be safer with an extra set of eyes watching the area behind their cars, especially at night or when they're completing paperwork, using the in-car computer or handling a radar gun. "Unfortunately, there are people with bad intentions who sneak up on police officers," he says.

One Step at a Time
Nearly every flavor of exotic driveline has been shoved into the ubiquitous Ford at some point or another.
Chuck Schwynoch had been patiently listening to my ramblings on the other end of the phone for a solid half hour. I'm not too big of a man to know when to ask for help, and at this point, I desperately needed some assistance. The truth is, working on a machine like a Fox Body Mustang is as easy as breathing thanks to the wealth of information available on the web. Nearly every flavor of exotic driveline has been shoved into the ubiquitous Ford at some point or another, and odds are the sorry souls behind those builds shared the highs and lows of their torment with the internet community.
