I'm listing this 1998 Ford Shasta RV with about 104,000 miles for a nice lady in Sarasota/Bradenton area, about 40 minutes south of me. She's selling it because they don't use it as much! They bought it when the RV had just 25,000 miles so they should be the second owners.

Let me start by saying that this RV will required some vision, and some very good cleaning, although I was told that the family would be cleaning it this weekend. Cosmetically this RV is in rough condition mostly within its interior. Some things are broken off, like some cabinet doors, handles, etc. The main concern been that at one point the front portion of the RV roof was leaking and they had to do some internal surgery (see photos). The leak has been contained, and the roof was treated with a 15 year warranty job. Don't look too pretty but it's functional now.

This RV comes with full bath, kitchen, microwave, A/C, heater, generator, all plug ins, etc. Front dash A/C works, but the main unit does not. I plugged it in and did not blow cold. Generator works, but does not stay on after a little while. I think that it should work as it should after a tune-up.

Mechanically this Shasta runs very well. V10 engine is strong, and it had a recent brake job. I can safely conclude that the mechanics of this vehicle can be trusted. Tires are decent too. I belief that with some vision this Shasta RV can be brought back to a respectable shape. After some searching on the internet, these RVs are typically selling between $10,000 to $15,000, so this is a good opportunity to acquire one for much less. Again, this vehicle will require imagination, but the foundation is there! Thanks for looking and don't hesitate to contact me with any questions!

TERMS & DETAILS OF THE AUCTION:

This is a NO RESERVE Listing: This is a great opportunity to buy a fair Ford Shasta RV at a fabulous price!  PLEASE...Serious eBay Members Only! If Not Sure How eBay Works Don’t Hesitate to Contact Me First!!

Required Deposit:  A $500.00 deposit is due within 24 hours from the end of the auction and is payable through Pay Pal. The deposit is refundable ONLY in the event I failed to accurately describe the vehicle, OR if you uncover an issue that I wasn't aware of. I cannot accept balance through Pay Pal because Electronic Tracking is required to maintain Pay Pal Buyer/Seller Guarantees.

Payment of Balance: The balance is payable to the seller at the time you take possession of the vehicle. Payments can be made by personal check (upon clearance), cashiers checks (upon clearance) bank wire transfers, or good old fashion cash.

Taking Possession of The Vehicle: Our policy is that you take possession of the vehicle and finalize the transaction within 7 days. If you require additional time, please let me know so I can make the arrangements with the seller. Please note, that the Seller has possession of the vehicle, so it'll be picked up at the Seller's address. Although I've examined the title, it's also in the possession of the Seller and will be endorsed when the transaction is finalized.

Out of Town Buyers – Shipping the Vehicle: If you're an out-of-town buyer, full payment must be made prior to shipping.  I'll be glad to assist buyers in making shipping arrangements and I can refer buyers to a trusted transportation company that I personally use, but all costs are buyer's responsibility.

Car History Reports: eBay no longer offers complementary car history reports since I transact such a quantity of sales. So, I leave it to the buyer to pull one if desired.

Warranties & Guarantees: As is customary, the vehicle is being sold “As Is,” and there are No Warranties or Guarantees offered.

Prior Sale of Vehicle:  Keep in mind that I'm listing vehicles for others, and on a very rare occasion it happened that a seller changed his mind during the course of the auction. We ALL act in good faith, but an unforeseen circumstance can arise.... in two years of conducting eBay vehicle auctions and having sold hundreds of vehicles, this kind of thing happened once, but I wanted to mention this VERY REMOTE possibility right up-front.

ABOUT ME – The Listing Agent

My name is Jose I'm a Graphic Artist by profession and a car lover by choice...In fact, I worked my way through college doing mainly sports car restorations. Although I'm not a “master mechanic,” I know cars VERY well and have an eye for value. I'm not a “Car Dealer,” or a “Broker,” but I provide a valuable service to individuals who don't have the time or expertise to list their vehicles on e-Bay.

While I provide this service as a “Business,” I'm VERY particular about who I deal with, and I'm especially careful when it comes to the vehicle being sold. In fact, I reject vehicles that don’t meet my criteria, and this accounts for my success! I utilize an extensive “Check List,” on every vehicle. I personally check all the paperwork, inspect the vehicle (including paint, bodywork and engine) and finally test drive myself if applicable. While I do my best to uncover and disclose all possible issues relating to a vehicle, I always suggest that buyers have the vehicle inspected before finalizing a transaction.

As you can see, I've achieved good rating on eBay, so my major objective is to provide eBay members with complete satisfaction, and a fair deal!  eBay members are the most important part of any transaction that I make, so my goal is to be as accurate as possible. If an issue does arise, I'll do my best to solve it. I believe that communication can solve any problem, so if you buy or bid on a vehicle that I've listed, and a problem arises, please talk to me before leaving any negative feedback! Communication is the Key to a GREAT Deal.  Don't Hesitate to Contact Me at 727.522.2531

Ford GT racer sounds wicked during testing at Sebring

Mon, Aug 31 2015

The Ford GT racecar is still deep in development ahead of a much-anticipated trip to the 24 Hours of Le Mans next year. If the sound in this clip is any indication, the honing of this racecar is going quite well. Like any proper racer, you hear the GT rumbling well before it enters frame, but then the beauty comes into view at Sebring with a massive rear wing and an even bigger diffuser. Rather than an ear-piercing shriek, the 3.5-liter EcoBoost in the GT sounds like a grumbling monster. The previous development video from Ford Performance hints at this angry exhaust note, but it's on full display here. Thankfully race fans around the world get to hear this wonderful noise when the GT hits the track next year. Two of them are competing in the United SportsCar Championship, and two more are in the FIA World Endurance Championship. All of the members of this quartet are also lining up at Le Mans, too. Hearing them making this wonderful growl together should be a major highlight of motorsports in 2016. Related Video:

24 Hours of Le Mans live update part two

Sun, Jun 19 2016

We tasked surfing journalist Rory Parker to watch this year's live stream of the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans. What follows is an experiment to experience the world's greatest endurance race from the perspective of a motorsports novice. Parker lives in Hawaii and can hold his breath longer than he can go without swearing. For Part One, click here. Or you can skip ahead to Part Three here. I write about surfing for a living. If you can call it a living. Basically means I spend my days fucking around and my wife pays for everything. Because she's got a real job that pays well. Brings home the bacon. Very progressive arrangement. Super twenty first century. I run a surf website, beachgrit.com, with two other guys. It's a strange gig. More or less uncensored. Kind of popular. Very good at alienating advertisers. My behavior has cost us a few bucks. I'm terrible at self-censorship. Know there's a line out there, no idea where it lies. I still don't understand any of the technical side. Might as well be astrophysics or something. For contests I do long rambling write ups. They rarely make much sense. Mainly just talk about my life, whatever random thoughts pop into my head. "Can you do something similar for Le Mans?" "Sure, but I know absolutely fuck-all about racing." "That's okay. Just write what you want." "Will do. But you're gonna need to edit my stuff. Probably censor it heavily." So here I am. I spent the last week trying to learn all I can about the sport of endurance racing. But there's only so much you can jam in your head. And I still don't understand any of the technical side. Might as well be astrophysics or something. While I rambled things were happening. Tracy Krohn spun into the gravel on the Forza chicane. #89 is out of the race after an accident I missed. Pegasus racing hit the wall on the Porsche curves. Bashed up front end, in the garage getting fixed. Toyota and Porsche are swapping back and forth in the front three. Ford back in the lead in GTE Pro. #91 Porsche took a stone through the radiator, down two laps. Not good. The wife and I are one of those weird childless couples that spend way too much time caring for the needs of their pet. French bulldog, Mr Eugene Victor Debs. Great little guy. Spent the last four years training him to be obedient and friendly. Nice thing about dogs, when you're sick of dealing with them you can just lock 'em in another room for a few hours. You don't need to worry about paying for college.
