OFFERING A 2009 E350 SPORTS VAN. THIS VAN FEATURES THE QUIGLEY 4X4 CONVERSION VIEWED AT QUIGLEY4X4.COM. THESE 4X4 VANS ARE HIGHLY DESIRABLE AND ACTUALLY HAVE A 4 MONTH OR MORE WAITING LIST PER QUIGLEY. NO WAITING HERE-ON THE LOT AND READY TO GO. WE ARE OFFERING WITH A STARTING BID OF LESS THAN WHAT THE CONVERSION COSTS ALONE! VERY LOW RESERVE AND WE INTEND ON SELLING TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER ONCE RESERVE IS MET, HOWEVER-WE DO RESERVE THE RIGHT TO PULL THIS LISTING AS IT IS FOR SALE LOCALLY ON OUR LOT.
THIS VAN IS LIKE BRAND NEW WITH ONLY 22K MILES AND WAS FORMERLY OWNED BY A PRISON SYSTEM AND USED TO TRANSPORT INMATES. AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PHOTO'S, THERE ARE PARTITIONS OVER ALL THE WINDOWS. THEY ARE RIVETED IN PLACE AND COULD EASILY BE REMOVED. THE HEADLINER HAS BEEN CUT A LITTLE TO ALLOW ROOM THE THE WINDOW PARTITIONS. THE WINDOWS DO STILL OPEN AND HAVE NOT BEEN ALTERED. THE DOORS HAVE COVERS ON THE INSIDE AND THE HANDLES CANNOT BE ACCESSED OR OPENED FROM THE INSIDE. THE VAN HAD METAL SEATS FOR THE INMATES AND WE REPLACED THEM WITH BRAND NEW FORD SEATS. IT DOES HAVE THE SECOND AND THIRD ROW SEATING FOR THREE EACH. WE DO HAVE THE NEW BRACKETS FOR THE FOURTH ROW SEAT BUT NO SEAT. IF THERE WAS A FOURTH ROW THAT WOULD ELIMINATE ANY CARGO AREA IN THE BACK. THERE ARE A COUPLE OF HOLES DRILLED IN THE PLASTIC TRIM INTERIOR WHERE THE WIRES WHERE RUN FOR THE PRISON RADIO'S ETC. THOUGH NOT REALLY EVEN NOTICEABLE. OVERALL CONDITION OF INTERIOR IS CLEAN AND EXCELLENT.
THE EXTERIOR IS IN OVERALL CLEAN AND EXCELLENT CONDITION AS WELL. AS YOU VIEW THE PHOTO'S YOU WILL NOTICE ONLY ONE VERY SMALL (DING) ON THE ENTIRE VAN ON THE SIDE DOOR. ALSO ON THE TOP OF THE VAN THERE WERE A FEW HOLES FOR THE COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS, ETC. THESE HAVE BEEN REPAIRED AND DO NOT LEAK AND HAVE NEVER LEAKED. THESE QUIGLEY VANS OFTEN HAVE THE POP TOP CAMPER OPTION INSTALLED AND THUS THESE HOLES WOULD BE GONE ANYWAY SHOULD YOU CHOOSE TO GO THAT ROUTE.
THERE ARE NO SURPRISES WITH THIS VAN. EVERYTHING WORKS AS IT SHOULD. RUNS AND DRIVES PERFECTLY. TIRES ARE GOOD, AIR IS COLD, HEAT IS HOT, SUPER CLEAN INSIDE AND OUT.
THIS VAN WOULD MAKE A GREAT START TO A FULL BLOWN CAMPER VAN OR PLACE IN SERVICE AS IT IS FOR TRANSPORTATION PURPOSES. THOSE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THESE CONVERSIONS VISIT THE LINK FOR QUIGLEY. THOSE WHO ARE FAMILIAR WILL BE BIDDING PROMPTLY I'M SURE.
SHOULD YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK-I AM HERE TO HELP. MY NAME IS BUCK-MY NUMBER IS 830-214-5960.

This is what a 3D-printed liquid metal Ford Torino looks like
Sat, 12 Oct 2013Artist Ioan Florea has encapsulated a 1971 Ford Torino with 3-D-printed liquid metal transferred onto the car using technology that he developed, and the result is a stunningly shiny, seamless design.
"The surface has the highest coefficient of reflectivity never achieved before," Florea told us in an e-mail, using "nano-materials and nano-pigments that create an internal three-dimensional structure and dictate the polymer how to behave." Sure... We'll leave it to him to make any more 3-D-printed liquid metal-transferred art pieces.
Florea grew up in Romania, and the motivation behind picking the old Ford as his canvas came from his childhood memories of what an American car is - "big and wide and fascinating," he says - and the European name of the car itself, which it shares with an Italian city.
1969 Ford Talladega GPT Special is a SEMA showstopper
Thu, 07 Nov 2013Rad Rides by Troy has unleashed upon the SEMA crowds this custom 1969 Ford Torino Talladega GT Special, and it's a beauty. The car calls to mind the classic Holman Moody stock cars that circled NASCAR tracks in the late 1960's, driven by the likes of Mario Andretti, Dan Gurney and David Pearson, who won the Grand National title in both 1968 and '69 in a Ford Torino.
Even though it has plenty of stock-car influence, there's nothing retro about the car's design or powertrain, other than the fact that the engine is based on a Ford Boss 429 block. Fuel injection, aftermarket aluminum heads and a high-tech custom computer system combine to send 750 reliable ponies to the rear wheels through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. Brakes measure 14-inches all around, with six-piston Wilwood calipers up front and four-piston units out back.
There's custom bodywork abound, painted in a two-tone Tennessee Whiskey Gold and Daytona Sand finish. Check out all the amazing details in the image gallery below, and scroll down to read all about it in designer Troy Trepanier's own words.
2015 Ford Mustang Convertible to recreate Empire State Building stunt
Tue, 25 Mar 2014It would have been all too easy to miss the auto show debut of the 2015 Ford Mustang convertible. It was, after all, unveiled alongside its fixed-roof counterpart at the Detroit Auto Show this past January, lumping coupe and cabrio into one debut. But Ford is evidently still intent on making its new droptop stand out. The top of the Empire State Building ought to do the trick.
Automotive history buffs may recall that, 50 years ago, Ford unveiled its first Mustang convertible atop what was then the tallest building in the world, that Art Deco icon of the New York skyline. Half a century later, Ford is recreating the feat and bringing the new topless Mustang to the same observation deck on the building's 86th floor.
Getting it up there, of course, will be no easy task. While they'd usually airlift the vehicle onto the roof or lift it by crane, the spire protruding from atop the building makes approaching the narrow observation deck too dangerous, and no mobile crane can telescope the thousand-plus feet it would take to get the pony car up there.
