2008 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor Sedan 4-door 4.6l on 2040-cars
Sand Lake, Michigan, United States
|
This is a recently retired Sheriffs Department Vehicle assigned to a single Deputy. This Crown Vic is nicer than most with a Power Drivers Seat and Cruise Control. It also has a fully carpeted floor. There was never a top light mounted to this one. It has a slick top with NO holes ever. Only two in the trunk that were properly plugged and sealed. The exterior and interior are very nice. There is a full size Goodyear spare tire in the trunk and includes a jack and wrench. This car has been maintained by the county since new with fully synthetic oil and runs great. The transmission shifts perfect. The paint is shiny. There are no warning lights on the dash. The brakes are excellent. There are no alignment problems. The undercarriage is dry and there are no leaks. This is a prior service vehicle so you will find the normal small holes in the front dash from the previous police equipment. There are a couple light scratches and there is some glue residue on the dash that should be easy to remove. The spot light is in place and there is a AM/FM CD player however neither currently work and may just be a fuse. For those of you that know these cars, this one has a lot of life in it. It is located near Grand Rapids, Michigan half way between Chicago and Detroit. A deposit of $500.00 is due immediately with your successful bid and payment in full within 7 days. If you have any question feel free to ask. Thank You and Good Luck Bidding. |

Which car companies are creating new jobs in America?
Fri, Sep 22 2017Since January, automakers have announced investments totaling $9.5 billion in U.S. plants, creating or retaining more than 12,000 jobs. Some of those companies have yet to announce just how many jobs will be created given their investments, with the location of many of those jobs still to be determined. Specifically, the 4,000-job Toyota-Mazda joint venture plant still hasn't announced its location, with numerous states jockeying for it. Hyundai has plans to invest $1 billion but has not announced a jobs number yet. And likewise Ford is investing $1.2 billion in Michigan without specifying a number of jobs. Volvo this week announced plans to add a second line to its factory under construction in South Carolina, spending another $500 million and adding 2,500 jobs to the 2,000 it was already trying to fill. Then Thursday, Daimler announced a $1 billion expansion to its facility in Tuscaloosa, Ala., to produce EV batteries and electric SUVs, a move that will add 600 jobs to its hiring this year. Above, we've created a handy pie chart showing you which companies have announced new jobs and how many there will be. Ford Australia debuts Ranger-based Everest SUV concept
Tue, 13 Aug 2013Ford has been in hot water in Australia ever since it announced plans to end local production of the Falcon and Territory SUV. Besides canceling a model that is to Oz what the Mustang is to America, the end of production means more than a few folks will be out of work.
Keen to prove that it has a plan for the market, Ford has unveiled the Aussie-penned Everest Concept, a rough-and-tumble, seven-seat SUV. While not a direct replacement for the aging Territory (that role will eventually be filled by either the Edge or Flex, according to Car Advice) it's an indication from Ford's brass that the Blue Oval is still committed to Australia.
To prove that fact, Alan Mullaly, Mark Fields, Jim Farley and regional execs descended on Sydney for the debut of the new concept. Ford's Australian president and CEO, Bob Graziano, said of the Everest, "Our customers, our employees and Australia can be assured that we're connected to the nation and committed to our customers through terrific products with class-leading technologies."
How Ford hid the 2015 Mustang from spy photographers
Fri, 20 Dec 2013Now that we've finally seen the 2015 Ford Mustang, it's fun to go back and look at the spy shots we spent months pouring over, trying to dissect what was under all the camouflage. For the most part, Ford did a good job of concealing the car from spy photographers, and it released a video showing how much work went into doing so.
As crude as the Mustang's camo looked, all of the hard plastic, foam, vinyl and ratchet straps were actually created and put in place by a specific design team. The whole idea was to hide the car's identity, but it certainly ended up acting as a magnet for attention, too. According to Ford's press release, it took less than an hour for spy shots to appear online after the car was taken on public roads for the very first time - this is likely in reference to our first official spy shots of the Mustang from June, shown in the gallery below.
Scroll down for a press release and video, which shows footage of the 2015 Ford Mustang testing with minimal camouflage. This is probably the same track session where we got our first look at the Mustang's face back in August.
