This 2005 Ford Crown Victoria is a one owner vehicle we purchased from a local municipal police department who purchased the vehicle new and maintained it since. The car was used a supervisors vehicle and has only 49534 miles on its certified speedometer/odometer. The car is in excellent condition inside and out and was gone over by our in house service department from top to bottom. Everything on this car works as it should including the air conditioning which is ice cold and the heat which is blazing hot. All of the power windows  and locks work as does the rear defrost. We have inspected the car and put on a pair of new tires and a new battery, the car now has Pennsylvania safety and emissions stickers good until 10/2014.

As you can see in the pictures we have left the front push bumper on the car as well as the drivers side exterior spotlight which works as well, the interior report light also works and we have left the center console in the car but would remove it if the purchaser does not want it. The interior of the car is like new, the rear seat area looks brand new and the front seats do not have the normal tears and wear marks many of these cars have from officers and their duty gear.  The exterior of the car is in excellent condition and has very little to no rust and very minor scratches from normal use, overall this car is in great condition.

These cars are getting harder to find period, with these kind of original miles and in this condition they are almost impossible to find. This is a chance to own a true police interceptor in great condition that could go back in service tomorrow and need nothing. If you have wanted one of these cars this is the car to buy, these cars are made to run well in excess of two hundred thousand miles, this car if taken care of will easily do that and more. We sell a lot of these cars, this is a nice vehicle.

NHTSA upgrades Ford floor mat unintended acceleration probe

Mon, 17 Dec 2012

According to a Bloomberg report, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has upgraded an investigation into complaints of unintended acceleration lodged against Ford vehicles. The investigation began in June of 2010 when just three complaints had been received and it only concerned the Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan, but this was at a time when the phrase "unintended acceleration" made grown men go pale. With 49 additional complaints received since then, the investigation has been reclassified as an engineering analysis - the last phase before a recall - and it has been expanded to include the Lincoln MKZ, making for a total of "around 480,000" units affected between the three sedans from the 2008 to 2010 model years.
The ostensible cause is that floor mats are trapping the accelerator pedal, but according to a Ford statement at the time, the entrapment is due to owners placing the optional all-weather floor mats, or aftermarket floor mats, on top of the car's standard floor mats. NHTSA has backed up that assessment, pinning the blame on "unsecured or double stacked floor mats."
On the face of it, it would appear that NHTSA has upgraded the status not because of Ford's error, but owner error, and Ford has stated publicly that it is "disappointed" in NHTSA's move. On top of NHTSA still being skittish after that other unintended acceleration debacle, it could be seen to be taking its time investigating all of the variables: it's reported that Ford changed its accelerator pedal design in 2010, a "heel blocker" in the floorpan has been considered a potential culprit in how the floor mats could be trapping the pedal, some drivers have said the floor mats weren't anywhere near the pedal, and according to a report in the LA Times, in "a letter sent by Ford to NHTSA in August 2010, the automaker said it found three injuries and one fatality that 'may have resulted from the alleged defect.'"

Ford Mustang pinball machine has supple wrist, plays by sense of smell [w/video]

Fri, 07 Feb 2014

Ford didn't have anything major to show off at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show, so it seems it instead opted to have some fun - it brought a row of pinball machines to the show. Yes, pinball machines.
We originally told you about the Stern Pinball Ford Mustang machine a few days ago, and as day two of the Chicago show is a bit of a slow one, we opted to head to the show floor and get some snaps of the bank of new machines. Not surprisingly, there's plenty for the Mustang fan in each of these machines, ranging frond different models, to logos to a full model.
Take a look below for our full gallery of live shots, available up top. Then head below for our original gallery of stock images, along with a video and press release on the new machines.

2015 Ford Mustang will tell authorities how you crashed and if you were belted [w/video]

Sat, 28 Jun 2014

When the 2015 Ford Mustang hits dealers, it will be with a new batch of features that will power up Sync's 911 Assist feature, and provide an even greater degree of information to first responders in the event of an accident.
911 Assist will already make a phone call, via a Bluetooth-connected phone, should you bin your car. The automatic message to first responders is a pre-recorded blurb from Ford. With the new enhancements, though, emergency personnel can learn about the maximum change in velocity and whether the crash involved a front, rear, side or a rollover impact. 911 Assist will also send information about how many seat belts were in use and if airbags deployed, allowing more accurate dispatch of resources.
"Sync will only broadcast relevant information to save time, and it constructs a very efficient message for the operator," said David Hatton, the global project leader with Ford Connected Services. "After the introductory message, the voice line opens automatically and occupants can speak directly with the operator via Sync's hands-free functionality."
