This Bronco is absolutely gorgeous!!! I've looked for a few years for the perfect Bronco and finally found it. Of course, not even a week after finding it I got a new job that requires me to drive 300-500 miles a week so I can't justify keeping it as my daily driver and unfortunately I can't afford two vehicles. I will admit that at first I was a little skeptical buying a car with 200k miles but after driving it and seeing it you can tell its been pampered and babied its whole life. Truly drives like a car with 40k miles, this thing is truly amazing for being almost 20 years old!! I can't think of a single thing to list that is wrong with it, blows ice cold AC, heat is very hot, 4 wheel works great, all windows including back window work flawlessly. All four tires are basically new and I am told it had new brakes within the last 6 months but I can't say that for certain. I loved it so much the first week I decided to spend $700 (picture of receipt) at Best buy to have all new speakers and CD player that has Sirius radio and a USB output to play your phone or Ipod/Pandora. Paid $100 for brand new floor mats that have been in the truck for less that a week, paid $80 for brand new Bronco wheel cover on back of truck that is also less than a week old!! As you can see, I really thought I would drive this for many years to come as a daily driver but like I said, having to drive so much for work its just not doable. I am not a car guy so looked for one that would be reliable, doesn't drip a drop!!! Please ask any questions since I am not a car salesman. With all this being said, it does have a couple dings here and there but overall it is a 9 out of 10. Never heard of someone rolling the miles forward on a car but only thing that makes sense to me. Please ask any questions since I'm sure I have left things out and I will try and update listing as people ask questions. If anyone in town wants to come drive it email me or if someone out of town wants me to take it to a mechanic to get checked out let me know. This truck was a retired Air Force gentlemans and it shows how meticulous those guys are!!!

eBay Find Of The Day: 1988 Saleen Ford Mustang General Tire 21R race car
Tue, 29 Jul 2014Saleen may be making headlines these days for working on the Tesla Model S, but its history and bread-and-butter is all about the Ford Mustang. The rear-wheel-drive Dearborn pony cars singlehandedly put the company on the map in the '80s. Founder Steve Saleen was already a talented American racing driver when he started the venture, and like many auto industry businesses before him, Saleen went to the track to prove his vehicles' worth. Now, there's a chance to buy one of those early racers on eBay Motors.
Saleen Mustangs raced in the Sports Car Club of America Escort Endurance Championship - a series of multi-hour races meant to challenge man and machine. Ostensibly a showroom stock class, the cars had larger wheels, tuned suspensions and other upgrades that stretched the concept slightly. Saleen found major success though, taking the championship for its class in 1987 and winning the 24 Hours of Mosport consecutively from 1986 through 1988.
According to the seller, Saleen only built eight of these cars, and this one carries the #21R serial number. They all started life as new Mustangs from Ford dealers but were immediately stripped and prepped to go racing. Beyond obvious mods like a roll cage, they featured eight-inch wide wheels in front, an inch of additional track width, stiffer suspension bushings and much more.
Ford dealers offered discounts on tools to fix aluminum
Mon, 27 Jan 2014With the introduction of the aluminum-bodied 2015 Ford F-150 (and the likely use of aluminum in future Ford products), Ford is looking to help its dealerships reduce costs related to repairing this more labor-intensive material. Automotive News is reporting that Ford dealers with body shops will require an estimated $30,000 to $50,000 in equipment and training to work on aluminum, and to help alleviate the financial burden of the new F-150, Ford has announced a special 20-percent discount on this equipment.
Dealers will be able to save up to $10,000 on tools such as welders, air-filtration systems and rivet guns and to create aluminum-specific work stations. The new F-150 goes on sale in the fourth quarter, and dealers have until October 31 to take advantage of this deal, according to the report.
Porsche, Jaguar continue dominance in 2015 JD Power APEAL study
Wed, Jul 22 2015The top of JD Power's 2015 APEAL Study has not changed much in the last year. Porsche remains No. 1 with Jaguar nipping at its heels, although both premium brands saw their overall score fall compared to 2014. For those that need a refresher, the APEAL Study looks at how "gratifying" a vehicle is to own and drive, rating cars and brands on a 1,000-point scale. The industry average for 2015 has increased from 794 to 798, while the total number of automakers that finished above the curve increased from 16 to 20. While Porsche and Jaguar finished at the top, their scores dropped eight and seven points, respectively, to 874 and 855. The top "non-premium" brand was Mini, which scored an impressive 825, up from 795. If the BMW-owned British marque is still a bit too premium for your tastes, last year's non-premium winner, Hyundai, did climb five points and is this year's runner up. At the opposite end of the scale, Smart sits at the very bottom of the rankings, with a score of 683 (it didn't appear on the 2014 rankings). Fiat also dropped, from fourth worst in 2014 to second worst in 2015, despite the 500 being named most appealing city car. Subaru made an impressive climb, from third worst to seventh, falling just 10 points shy of the industry average and two points south of the non-premium average. In the individual vehicle segments, eight brands earned multiple awards, with Ford, Chevrolet, and Porsche earning three apiece. Surprise segment victories included the new Ford Expedition, which beat out Chevy's popular Suburban. The Infiniti QX80 bested the likes of the Cadillac Escalade and Range Rover for best large luxury SUV, and the Dodge Challenger beat its muscle car rivals from Ford and Chevy. Most of the victories, though, were quite predictable. The Mazda6 and CX-5 took wins for the midsize sedan and compact SUV categories respectively, while the Volkswagen Golf captured the compact car win. The Ford F-150 won the large pickup category, while the Porsche Cayman was named most appealing compact premium sporty car.
