1979 Bronco  XLT.  6 inch lift done right,  dropped radius arms, dropped pitmen arm, rear torque bars, new drive line, Dana 60 rear, 44 front with 3\4 outer hubs, 411 gears, double shocked.  Running gear is tight and done right.  460 with Edelbrock aluminum head's.  Holley carb,

L & L headers,  3'' exhaust out the back with flow masters, dual  battery's, very nice chrome winch bumper, warn 8000 winch and controller.  Heavy duty chrome rear bumper.  38'' SSR radial tires on new outlaw wheels.  Roof rack with hi jack, and jerry cans.  Killer over the cab fog lights, full roll cage, completely redone seats and panels and carpet.   Console with 6 disc changer.  Switches for lighting, & gauges and tilt wheel.  It has air but it needs to be charged.  CB  mounted on the roll bar.   This old Bronc has had a lot of work done and done right.  This Bronco has no rust. She drives great, shifts strong and has a pile of torque.  It sounds tuff.  The paint is older but is a 7-8 out of 10.  the driver's door has some paint cracking but it is a older repaint.  Great  color combination.  Also has a brand new gas tank.  I look hard to find these old Broncos'  and good one is hard to find. This one is a real eye-catcher.  Check out my feed back and bid with confidence!  This will be  #4 Bronco I have sold through eBay.  I'm not a dealer,  It's my hobby.  I travel and in my travels I look high and low for nice Broncos' like this one.

Ford Fiesta rally car warms up in Sweden

Tue, 18 Mar 2014

Rallycross is seeing a sudden surge in popularity with two series bringing the racing to the US and Europe. The Ford OMSE team is competing in both championships this season, and it saw no reason not to hold practice with a highly modified Fiesta in the snow of Northern Sweden. It brought together Andreas Bakkerud from the European-focused FIA World Rallycross Championship and Patrik Sandell from the North American-focused Global Rallycross series for some training and fun. They certainly appear to be enjoying themselves, too, with some lovely pirouettes in the powder.
If you're unfamiliar with rallycross, the discipline combines the best of rallying and circuit racing. Drivers (with no co-drivers) race rally cars over a circuit that generally mixes dirt and asphalt, and unlike traditional rallying, multiple cars compete side-by-side at once. Even better, it's often a very two-fisted form of motorsports with lots of car-to-car contact. Global Rallycross and World Rallycross will both kick off their seasons in May. With spring on the way, scroll down to watch the Fiesta kick up some of the last snow drifts of the year.

1947 Chevy rat rod pickup leaves rubber and smoke in its wake

Thu, 08 May 2014

Cool comes in multiple flavors. One one hand, we have the sophisticated attraction of svelte design and the efficient use of power. Of course, on the other hand there is the allure of being the bad boy and going against the grain. That is part of the appeal of rat rods. Ideally, they are built without rules to an owner's specific tastes, and this widened and heavily modified 1947 Chevrolet pickup rod is a perfect example of that spirit.
Coming down the highway with a bent grille, rusted body and pouring smoke, it looks like the pickup from hell. It backs up the looks with some very impressive mechanicals too. Owner Troy Gubser says that the truck packs a Ford Power Stroke diesel with to 42 pounds of boost that runs out of 8-inch exhaust stacks at the back. He claims it managed 505 horsepower and 885 pound-feet of torque on the dyno. To harness all that power, this hot rod has a ZF five-speed manual gearbox with a ceramic clutch and short-throw shifter. Plus, it has cool little features like a doorbell on the tailgate that operates an air horn.
You might not expect a truck like this to actually be useful, but it has a fifth wheel coupling to haul an RV around drag races and car shows. The air suspension also probably keeps the ride fairly comfy when Gubser wants it to be. Scroll down to check out this beastly rat rod pickup and watch it engage in some diesel drag racing. Warning, there is some NSFW language.

How the Ford Shelby Mustang came to be

Fri, 20 Sep 2013

Even as rumors swirl that the next-generation of high-performance Ford Mustang will drop the Shelby name, Ford has released a short video telling how the legend of the Shelby Mustang came to be. In its latest installment of its video series entitled Mustang Countdown, Ford dug up some footage from Carroll Shelby to give a little insight into how this automotive icon was created.
While it's definitely interesting to hear the late legend tell the story in his own words (including numerous references to the 1964 Mustang as a "secretary's car"), it's also pretty funny learning exactly how the Shelby GT350 got its name in the first place - a name allegedly making a comeback as the replacement for the current Shelby GT500. As development work continues on the 2015 Ford Mustang, the Shelby video posted below shows that the automaker is always looking at its past - even as it looks ahead to the future.
