1975 Ford Bronco Barn Find on 2040-cars

I have my barn find 75 ford bronco for sale, I don't know much about these trucks, I just knew I wanted one, so when I got the chance to buy one sitting in a shed for years, I jumped on it. I had hopes of restoring it, cleaned it up, bought parts, and...... haven't worked on it much since I got it (over a year ago), letting it take up space, so its time to turn it over to someone who will give it the love it deserves. I bought brake hardware kits and shoes for the front and rear, and one wheel cylinder for the front and one for the rear (all the parts house had at the time), new electric fuel pump (installed), & new bushwacker fender flares mounted (gaskets are included, but not installed). The interior is not in bad shape, the prior owner must have liked the wood grain door panels, but I also have what looks to be the original steel door panels. The seats have had vinyl dye sprayed on them, so they look newer than they are, and they are not mounted. It could use front floor pans if you were going to restore it, since the prior owner was apparently a master sheet metal worker and did any and all floor patches with galvanized sheet metal and painted it to match the rest of the interior. the glass is good, windows roll down, and the top can come off when unbolted. the motor did start, haven't tried to start it in a while, but the motor was real weak, didn't leak oil or smoke, but it was weak. it may have a popped out freeze plug, or a blown head gasket, because coolant leaks out soon after you put it in. I'm not sure what size motor it has, and I'm not sure how you could tell since there is so little room to look for codes under the hood. it does have dual gas tanks, and holds fuel in one of the tanks, haven't tried the other. I also have the rear tire carrier, but I don't think I have the hinge part that bolts to the body, and the front axle has manual hubs. feel free to ask me any questions, as I stated earlier, I don't know much about these trucks, this was my first and only one, but this one has plenty of character, and I haven't seen one like it before. bill of sale only, Alabama didn't require one on vehicles this old. but I do know that you can get a new title generated (at least here in Alabama) for $150. thank you for looking |

Want to buy a brand-new 1964 Ford Mustang? [w/video]
Wed, Mar 18 2015Even in its current iteration, the Ford Mustang is not without its share of heritage design cues. But if it's a more classic look of the first-gen pony car you're after, combined with modern levels of equipment, Revology just might have the answer. The Orlando-based company makes what you might call "continuation" Mustangs, using replica steel bodies made by Dynacorn and licensed by Ford to give it that classic look, but with modern technology. Under the skin you'll find a 5.0-liter fuel-injected V8 with 265 horsepower and either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission, but the powertrain is just the start. It's also got a MacPherson strut suspension, disc brakes, power steering and a cabin equipped with such modern accoutrements as power door locks and seats, keyless entry, intermittent wipers, even Bluetooth connectivity. And it's all covered by a one-year, unlimited-milage warranty, plus five-year corrosion protection and three-year powertrain warranty. Of course none of that comes cheap, as a turnkey Revology Mustang will set you back at least $119,500, in the buyer's choice of fastback or convertible body-styles. The first example was unveiled at the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance this past weekend, with the first customer examples set for delivery next year. This content is hosted by a third party. China's woes sandbag Detroit automakers
Sun, Jul 19 2015Through the first six months of this year, China's auto market is actually up 8.4 percent from the same period in 2014. Still, automakers aren't optimistic after June's 3.2 percent dip in year-over-year sales. Last month marked the first drop in China since February 2013, and the decline could extend through the coming months, which is a concern according to a number of analysts. In Detroit, General Motors might take the brunt of the damage, but Ford could feel some heat too. The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers is already responding to the June dip by predicting annual sales to grow only three percent this year, rather than seven percent that had been predicted earlier in the year, according to The Detroit News. Ford and GM will both release their second quarter earnings before the end of July, and those figures will give the industry a much better idea about the automakers' performance in China. Due to China's massive growth, both Ford and GM have made significant investments there. In 2014, GM announced $14 billion to make the country a focal point, including a goal of 5 million annual sales. Ford, for its part, opened 88 new Chinese dealers in one day alone last year. It has also been working to grow Lincoln since the brand's launch in 2014.The Detroit News took a much deeper look into Detroit's exposure in China, with the overall gist being that we're all uncertain about how things are going to shake out. Some industry analysts feel this is just a temporary blip, while other are much more worried. If you have any interest in the auto market there or its affect on the Big Three, the piece is well worth a read.
