1975 Ford Bronco

Excellent opportunity to acquire a 1975 Ford Bronco in a custom version that still pays its respects to the original. This is a good honest truck that was frame off restored less than 3 years ago.  While there are over restored, over done Broncos out there this one has everything most people want without all the extra that drives some of these rigs into the $30,000-$50,000 range.  And for not much more money you can avoid all the junk out there and all the versions where people have made extremely poor choices. This Bronco does not have a hard top. I have owned my fair share of Broncos and I have never put the top back on after it has come off.  If you really want one, they are easy to find. I am happy to help you should you need help with information on sources.

When the bulk of the photos were taken, the Bronco had not been washed in a couple of weeks and the engine compartment has never been detailed while I have owned it.  It is always garage kept when not in use and has not been off road other that dirt roads. I am choosing to just show the truck the way it is on a day to day basis; not all detailed out with the engine compartment steam cleaned, under dealer lights, etc. You get to see the truck as it is.

Serious prospective buyers please feel free to message me through ebay or call 713.444.5088. You may also request all 75 photos and I will give access to Dropbox.
Thanks, Charles

Ford hybrids getting update to improve fuel economy

Tue, 16 Jul 2013

Ford has announced that it is introducing "calibration updates designed to improve on-road fuel economy for owners of the 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid, 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid and 2013 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid."
We can speculate that these changes are at least due in part to lawsuits over mileage claims of hybrid vehicles. The automaker is enhancing 2013 models starting in August by raising their electric cruising speed to 85 miles per hour from 62 mph, optimizing the use of active grille shutters and the climate control system, shortening the engine warm-up period by 50 percent and reducing electric fan speed to minimize the fan's energy consumption.
It bears mentioning that Ford is doing pretty well in the US electrified vehicle market this year. The company claims to have grown its share in the segment by 12 points to 16 percent while taking a high number of Toyota Prius trade-ins in the process. Conversely, Toyota has experienced a five-percent drop in new-Prius sales over the same period. Additionally, Ford states that it has increased its share of the US vehicle market by one percent this year, more than any full-line automaker.
