Another great Bronco brought to you by Velocity Restorations. This 1974 Ford Bronco Sport just had a frame up restoration completed in our shop. We bought this Bronco out of Oklahoma. It was sitting in a show room for the last 18 years. We only had to replace one floor pan to make this a great rust free Bronco. After receiving the Bronco we stripped the body down, applied high build primer, PPG sunburst copper paint, 4 coats of high solids clear, and finished up with a 1500/2500 wet sand cut and buff. Paint has great clarity and depth. Tailgate, hood, doors, grill, and hard top were completely removed and painted off the truck to obtain the best finish possible. Body is dressed with full body chrome molding and chrome light bezels. Frame was sanded with 320 grit and sprayed with an epoxy semi gloss frame paint. Undercarriage was coated with Raptor underlining for years of preservation. We went through the power brake system from front to rear, replacing lines, wheel cylinders, and shoes. Tie rod boots, body bushings, shocks, steering stabilizer were all replaced with high quality parts. We went through the axles and drive shafts replacing all bushings, seals, and u-joints as necessary. Bronco is riding on 4 practically new 31/10.50/15 Bridgestone Dueller A/T's. The interior we kept as stock as possible only replacing what was necessary for functionality. All lights, gauges, fuel tanks, wipers, etc work as they should. We added a roll bar and weather proof media player. We kept the original seats and door panels to maintain the originality of the truck. Interior was sanded down and Raptor undercoating was applied for protection and weather proofing. The transmission and transfer case were rebuilt. Compression on engine was checked and ranged from 147-152# with 55-60 lbs of oil pressure. Under the hood we installed new Endurashine Edelbrock intake, 600 cfm carburetor, valve covers, electronic distributor, and chrome brake booster. We have been over this truck from front to rear and stand behind our product. Check out our feedback and realize from our past customers we build a great product and have several happy buyers. Most of our auctions end early due to our prices being realistic. We are offering a vintage air professionally installed AC system with the buy it now price being met on this auction. Any offers will be entertained prior to auction ending. AS usual we offer availability for any inspections of vehicle prior to auction ending. Bronco is being sold as-is where-is with no warranty implied. Please do not hesitate to contact us anytime with questions.

TX officer allegedly lets 140-mph street racer go with a warning [w/poll]
Tue, 26 Aug 2014Being pulled over by the police is one of the most nerve-racking situations that a driver can go through, and it's even worse when you know that the officer has you dead to rights for speeding well over the posted limit. In this video, the driver of a heavily modified Ford Mustang with a claimed 966 horsepower at the rear wheels could have easily lost his ride for doing triple-digit speeds and street racing, but a friendly Texas police officer appears to send him on his way with a simple warning.
What's more, the driver in question wasn't just speeding - his Mustang was the camera car for a bunch of rolling street races in the wee hours of the morning on a Texas highway. The driver was more than willing to mix it up in the action, too. Eventually the cops catch on and pick the 'Stang to pull over, but not before the Ford owner runs a claimed 140 mph. With only audio to go on after the car is pulled over, the police officer seems incredibly nonchalant about catching someone who was so brazenly breaking the law. Incredibly, the patrolman actually tells the driver that he's seen everyone racing tonight but ignored them. With traffic picking up, the cop says that it's time to "cut it out" and go home for the night. As far as this video shows, that was the end of it.
Warning: There is explicit, not-safe-for-work language in the video below.
What next for Alan Mulally?
Wed, 23 Apr 2014Alan Mulally has emerged as a hero when it comes to American manufacturing. He came to Ford in 2006 after serving as head of Boeing's commercial aircraft division, streamlined operations, sold off the costly elements of its Premier Automotive Group and saved Ford from having to be bailed out by the federal government like its cross-town rivals Chrysler and General Motors did. But as we reported mere days ago, he's widely expected to step down from the chief executive's office at Ford shortly.
So what's next for one of the most successful executives in the business? Hard to say, but don't expect Mulally to disappear into retirement. Though he didn't ultimately take the top job at Microsoft, industry insiders expect to see him in another influential position - likely as a board director or even chairman of another company. (We say "another company" and not Ford because while Bill Ford may have stepped aside as CEO to bring Mulally on board in the first place, we don't see him giving up his chairmanship of the board also.)
Mulally has likely already lined up his next move, and could either announce what that move will be as soon as Ford confirms Mark Fields as his successor, or could wait awhile. Insiders speculate that he could leverage his transportation and aerospace experience into a position at General Electric or a major airline, his manufacturing expertise to benefit a company like Procter & Gamble or his management skills at a consultancy firm.
Ford invests $682 million in Edge-producing Canadian facility
Sun, 22 Sep 2013Ford announced that it's investing $682 million in its Oakville assembly plant in Ontario, Canada, to make it a global manufacturing plant, which the automaker also says secures 2,800 jobs there. Including this injection of cash, Ford has invested over $2 billion in Canada in the last decade, starting with nearly $1 billion for Oakville in 2004, and over $570 million for its Essex Engine Plant in 2010.
The move to make Oakville a global manufacturer of Ford vehicles means, "If consumers suddenly shift their buying habits, we can seamlessly change our production mix without having to idle a plant," says Joe Hinrichs, Ford's president of the Americas.
Ford says that the latest investment will help it meet North American demand for the Oakville-produced Edge crossover, which is on track this year to beat 2007's US sales record of 130,000 Edges. The Ford Flex and Lincoln MKX and MKT are also manufactured at the plant.
