Up for bid is another example of a classic 1974 Ford Bronco 4x4. I consider this bronco to have a light restoration with a lot of money spent on it over the last year. Over 6,000 in paint and body alone. Man does this thing look AMAZING. This color turned out better than I could ever imagined. Being seafoam green lightened up with a little silver flake and silver accents. This rig is one serious eye catcher and is complemented everywhere it goes. RUST FREE with new floor pans professionally welded in. Procoat linex very very nicely done. All new Black interior, console, dash pad, wiper cover, visors, seat belts, and stereo. Brand new procomp 17in bullet holes wrapped in new 35/12.50/17 maxxis Big Horns. Mildly built 302 v8 with nice cam and sounds tuff through brand new dual flowmasters. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly and with power steering makes it a joy to drive. The drum breaks have been reworked and stops nice. Very neat undercarriage. All new top and door seals and rubber. Tinted glass im sure im forgetting stuff but, this rig has everything you want the sound and the look of a classic 4x4. That will turn heads and leave people drooling over it. Airbag recall widens to include BMW, Chrysler, Ford and Toyota
Mon, 23 Jun 2014The recall of faulty airbag inflators supplied by Takata has exploded today to grow to seven automakers. In most cases, only models in certain high-humidity regions were affected because the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found in its investigation that moisture played a roll in determining whether there would be a problem. However, some companies opted for national campaigns. The exact number of affected models for these campaigns isn't yet known at this time.
BMW is recalling an undisclosed number of 325i, 325Xi, 330i and 330Xi models from the 2001 through 2005 model years and the 2001-2006 model year versions of the 325Ci and 330Ci for the driver side and passenger side inflators. Only vehicles currently registered in Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands are covered under this recall.
Neither Chrysler's filing with NHTSA nor its press release list the specific models affected, but a company spokesperson told Autoblog that at this time it only covers the driver and passenger side inflators for the 2006 Dodge Charger in Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands
California Man Reunited 33 Years Later With Thunderbird
Wed, Sep 3 2014A California man was at a loss for words when he was reunited with his prized 1964 Ford Thunderbird on Tuesday, 33 years after it was stolen from a bar parking lot. Gary Chartrand could hardly believe how well his old Thunderbird held up in the last three decades. The odometer had only added about 1,000 miles from when he last saw the car back in the 1980s. "A few bumps and bruises but boy, not much changed," Chartrand told KOVR. Chartrand bought the car as a present to himself after finalizing his divorce from his wife of 10 years in 1981. It disappeared one night from the parking lot of a Sacramento bar where he was working. Police found Chartrand's car 750 miles north in Washington State.
