4 Sale, Very rare uncut nice looking and driving restored Early Classic Ford Bronco. Bronco is still very original to what it was when sold new over 43 years ago!  The Vin plate decode - U15 = 3800 gvw soft top or hard top option with full hard doors.  G = Factory V8  302 Bronco.   J = Dana front end fitted with rare factory 350 gears. (Great on and off road gears). Let's you drive the highways and Interstate at lower RPM.  Rear axle  I 8  = also matching 3.50  factory rear end gears. This Bronco can be driven out of town on long road trips (unlike most of them with 4:11 or rock crawl gearing).  C = Factory manual transmission = better performance on and off road than auto trans in my opinion and that of most Broncos owners. The factory paint code color is "1"  =  Factory color of Calypso Coral Orange. (Great color).  Then to top it off  the Bronco is a true factory Sport Model = lots of chrome trim and stainless on the body. All trim looks great! This Bronco is still all the above 43 years later and that's a rare thing for sure. Bronco has less than 12,000 proven, driven reliable miles on the oldest part of the restoration and 400 miles on the newest part of the restoration. This classic Ford Bronco is very sanitary and nicer than most you will ever see that get driven. It looks very nice inside and out and it runs and drives great. Bronco was built to drive and enjoy and is (very reliable) turn key and go first time /every time.  It has factory bronco 4 wheel drive and locking hubs so it can be enjoyed off road also. All the factory 4 wheel drive running gear is in great running order. The Bronco is powered by a nice running Ford V8 302 ci  motor as it should be. (Same V8 motor used in the early classic mustang).  The motor has been fitted with aluminum intake - headers and 4 bbl carb and dressed in chrome to look good. The motor and motor bay area both detailed very nice = SEE PHOTOS.  The motor runs 45 lb plus oil pressure and 180 deg water temp all day long! (NO LEAKS UNDER THIS BRONCO).  Motor is backed by the Factory Bronco manual transmission that shifts and downshifts nice = SEE VIDEO.  Ford 9 inch rear end fitted with factory 3.50 gears so it will run the highways and Interstate fine if you want to take the out of town on long road trips. (Was not built to be a mud truck or rock crawler)  Bronco has not been molested over the years like most!  Not lifted and cut up - rear fenders not cut off  - nice body and door fit.  90 percent or better of all older Broncos have been cut up and abused over the years. This Bronco still retains the correct factory Bronco suspension under it and it rides like a car, not like a bus or log truck like most of them with modified rock crawl suspensions - gearing and big body lift's and huge tires. It was rebuilt and restored and kept as original possible. A true Classic ( garage art ) and will turn every head in town driving in it or just parked on the street. The Bronco was repainted one time the original factory color, of  "Coral Orange" 12,000 mile ago on the outside. The Bronco has been waxed and garaged kept and the paint and Body paint touched up as needed to keep it looking very nice. SEE PHOTOS. Body paint still has a very nice high gloss shine to it and you will get a lot of thumbs up when driving in it. The inside of Bronco was just repainted for the first time less than 30 days ago to finish the project correct.  The Inside was also painted the original factory color of Coral Orange and it looks outstanding = SEE PHOTOS !  New door rubbers - new dash mat - new glove box insert - new FM /Cd stereo - new shift boots all installed new after inside was painted. New looks better! All lights work correct - all dash gauges work correct = SEE VIDEO. Bronco also also just fitted with a (New black full soft top with dark tinted removable side windows that zip in and out for open air driving) = SEE PHOTOS and VIDEO.  I just drove this Bronco on a 4 hours road trip and it drove very nice. No Issues, a fun drive for sure. Bronco has two gas tank also factory option. Bronco was upgraded to power steering so it is easy to drive. Also updated to power brakes and will stop on a dime. Broncos not sold with power steering and power brakes option in 1971 "so" it was added to make it fun and easy to drive. Column shift was moved to the floor ( FUN FUN FUN ). The inside driver and passenger floor pans were replaced during restoration being 43 years old, not bad but new is always better and inside looks great. The rear original floor pans looked perfect so kept in place. Inside was gutted and restored very nice = SEE PHOTO. Looks better than the day it was sold new by Ford. Bottom side pans cleaned and finished in SEM water proof rust inhibitor to seal and protect it from the harsh road elements for many years to come. Exhaust was older but in great shape so cleaned and painted in black hot rod ceramic paint. Frame - front end -rear end all cleaned and painted black = SEE PHOTOS. Bottom side is much cleaner than most of them for sure. Vehicle just serviced and detailed from top to bottom and ready to roll. So in a nut shell it is a very nice looking very original Bronco overall. It is powered by a V8 302 - Has manual transmission - Power steering -Power brakes. It runs nice and fun to drive. It is still very original and very hard to find them like this 43 years later. Less than 17,000 total Broncos built in 1971 . About 650 built as Baja Broncos makes it 16,400 left sold to the public and about 10,000 of them sold with V8  motor option.  Say 20 to 25 percent of them U14 factory half cab builds = 7,500 U15 Broncos left . Then about 10 percent painted in Coral Orange = round it off at 800 Factory Orange ones left - and then add in about 40 percent of all built being having Sport model package = 340 total maybe left on the planet. Then ask yourself how many left UNCUT . Most have been - cut up - lifted - running gear changed out - rusted - damaged - rolled over - bent up - vin numbers removed or missing all together over the past 43 years ?? -  I don't think you can find 100 left on this planet this original!  Above build numbers can be found on the internet.  Do the math = This Little Bronco is very rare still being the original color - uncut fenders and retaining it factory options 43 years later. I have owned or repaired and restored over 100 plus Classic Broncos over the past 30 years and can confirm this Bronco is nice and it's rare being so original on options and Vins. I don't build or repair them for the public anymore and won't (so please don't ask!)  It's still my hobby and always will be. Great investment being uncut = they only go up in value if you take care of them. California truck most it's life and was smog exempt in California due to age. Bronco garaged at my home in Las Vegas, Nevada at this time. Buyer more than welcome to inspect in person before end of auction. I have nothing to hide. I have done a long detailed listing, added 25 large photos , listed a ton a facts, and did a walk around & driving Video to show the vehicle in even better detail than most sellers ever will.  Bid with confidence this is a nice classic Bronco for sure. Clear California title to Buyer when PAID IN FULL. All Factory original Vin Numbers and plates still on vehicle 43 years later ( That's Very Rare ) .  Factory vin and ID plate still on the inside of the original glove box door as it should be. Original vin tag also on drivers door jam as it should be - and the factory Vin Number is still on the frame ( located on the top of the frame behind the passenger side front shock (in the area below the firewall as it should be). It the real thing! Seller will hold vehicle in locked garage until new owner can pick up in person or have transported to them. ( This Bronco is also for sale outside Ebay and this listing will be removed early if sold - so bid to own.)  Any Questions at all CALL SELLER Direct anytime at 702-592-2181 Enjoy Photos and Video.

Watch this lead sled go rallying in Finland

Thu, 19 Jun 2014

Custom cars generally fit into neat little boxes in terms of how they are used. For example, you're unlikely to see a modded Corvette going rock crawling; it's just not what it's made for (though we bet it'd look awesome, for a minute). In the same way, chopped, channeled and customized '50s hot rods aren't really meant to go racing. They look great and go fast, but they are generally more cruisers than sports cars.
However, if this video is any indication, the people of Finland don't adhere in these stereotypes, because this rodder is happy to play in the dirt with his lead sled.
According to the video, the driver is a member of the Ford-Freak Club of Finland, and he clearly knows how to have some fun. Possibly inspired by his country's great rally drivers, he gets the tail way out going around this gently curving gravel track. The stunt is somewhat reminiscent of the stock cars races on the sand at Daytona Beach, and this is probably close to what it sounded like too. Scroll down to watch a very cool Finn getting his hot rod a little dirty.

Ford F-150 bumps Camry from top of Cars.com American Made Index

Tue, 25 Jun 2013

With July 4th just around the corner, what better time could there be for Cars.com to announce that the Ford F-150 is the Most American car of 2013? This may be especially true since it was the Toyota Camry, a car produced by a company based in Japan, that had held the top spot from 2009 to 2012.
Cars.com compiles its Most American list by considering the amount of parts each vehicle uses that come from America, where it's final assembly takes place and how many units per year are sold. "While the assembly point and domestic parts content of the F-150 didn't change from 2012-2013, vehicle sales are responsible for bumping the F-150 to the top spot," according to Patrick Olsen, Editor-in-Chief of Cars.com.
As far as automakers go (as opposed to individual models), Toyota retains the top spot it held in 2012, with General Motors, Chrysler, Ford and Honda (in that order) rounding out the list. The motivation behind this list each year, according to Olsen, is "to help car shoppers understand that 'American-Made' extends beyond just the Detroit three" and because "a study we conducted in 2012 indicated that 25 percent of shoppers surveyed preferred to buy American."

Time to catch up with Jay Leno's Garage, including his Lamborghini Espada restoration

Tue, Dec 23 2014

If you're already jealous of the time, effort and money that Jay Leno can devote to his massive car collection, prepare to get a little greener with envy with this latest video from Jay Leno's Garage. Instead of the usual format of discussing a model for about ten minutes and then taking it out for a test drive, this week Leno gives viewers on a tour of over a dozen projects concurrently happening in his stable. The breadth of the vehicles shown and the things being done to them run the entire span of the automotive hobby. At the same time, Jay's shop is working on just a simple restoration of his 1969 Lamborghini Espada (pictured), and at the other side of the building, the team is rebuilding a wood-bodied 1914 Detroit Electric from scratch. He eventually plans to slot a more modern electric drivetrain into it. If bikes are more your interest, there's a freshly completed Brough Superior just waiting for a ride, and if American models are your thing, a Ford Bronco is getting a Coyote V8 installed into it. You have some very specific tastes if you can't watch this clip and start wishing at least one of these vehicles could be in your own garage. Other than the personal projects his mechanics are working on in the shop, Jay gets to have them all, plus plenty more.
