I have for sale a 1969 Ford Bronco roadster clone (no doors or roof are included). The truck runs and drives good. It has a small amount of play in the steering, but nothing major. The engine runs very good. I put the normal things on it to make it reliable. New plugs, new cap, new plug wires, new radiator, new hoses, new belt, new battery, new alternator, new thermostat. The transmission is fine and it has the 3 speed shifter in the floor. The 4 wheel drive works well. It has brand new shocks all the way around and a new steering stabilizer. The brakes have been completely rebuilt from master cylinder to the wheel cylinders. All drums have been turned and it has new shoes. The truck stops as it should. The truck has 500 miles on it since I did the brakes, engine parts and tires.
It has brand new BF Goodrich tires and brand new wheels. The tires are 32x1.50x15's on 10" wheels. The truck has stock suspension and new bumpers.
The truck had some of the sheetmetal replaced by the previous owner that includes the drivers floor, passenger floor, driver side inner kick panel, passenger side kick panel, driver inner and outer rockers, passenger side inner and outer rockers, driver side door post, passenger side door post and two new fenders. The body is not perfect as it has some dings and dents, but it is a good looking truck. It also has new body mounts.
The truck has new seat covers and new spray-in bedliner. There is a good dash pad cover with a small crack. The only real issues with the truck are that the blinkers don't workand the back up lights don't work. There is no tag light. These are things I was going to fix, but need to sell now. The truck was being set up to be a reliable daily driver, not a show truck.
I've tried to describe the truck as best I can. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'm available if you are in the area and want to look at the truck and drive it. The truck has a clear Virginia title and other than the parts that have been replaced or rebuilt, it is all stock.
Thank you for looking.

Ford EcoBoost smashes records at Daytona
Thu, 10 Oct 2013Some mighty machines have lapped the banks of the Daytona International Speedway over the years: thunderous V8-powered stock cars, Le Mans-conquering Group C prototypes, open-wheel Champ Cars, knee-dragging superbikes... heck, the infield lake has even hosted powerboat racing. But this - this is the fastest car ever to lap the legendary raceway.
What you're looking at is the new Daytona Prototype being prepared by Riley Technologies for the new United SportsCar Championship. The car, released just last week, is powered by a new 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 from Ford's EcoBoost family, and just obliterated the top speed at the track with a blistering 222.971 miles per hour through the traps.
That's enough to annihilate the previous record that was set, also under Ford power, by Bill Elliott while placing his Thunderbird on pole for the 1987 Daytona 500 that he would go on to win. His 210.364 mph record had stood for 26 years until now.
Coronavirus shakes up America's truck market: GM outselling Ford and Ram
Thu, Apr 2 2020FCA, Ford and General Motors joined the rest of the U.S. auto industry in taking heavy volume hits due to coronavirus-related shortages of both cars and customers. The saying goes that a rising tide lifts all boats; it stands to reason, then, that a falling one would have the opposite effect. However, as we learned Thursday, the automotive market can behave in unpredictable ways. While the F-Series remained the best-selling nameplate in Q1, GM's full-size trucks are now outselling Ford's again for the first time in years, and with this upward thrust from the General, FCA's Ram was unceremoniously booted out of a hard-earned second place. While late-March sales declines hit just about every major automaker in one way or another, the model-by-model results weren't nearly so uniform. And because the market tends to be a zero-sum game, for every winner, there generally has to be a loser. In this case, that winner was GM, and its rise had to come at the expense of another automaker, in this case, Ford. F-Series sales dropped 13.1 percent in the first quarter of 2020, while sales of GM's full-sized Silverado and Sierra surged nearly 28% in the same period. FCA's Ram lineup managed a steady-as-she-goes 7% increase. All-in, GM finished the quarter with 197,743 full-size trucks sold to Ford's 186,562. Here's the full breakdown: Ford F-Series: 186,562 Chevrolet Silverado*: 144,734 Ram P/U: 128,805 GMC Sierra: 53,009 *includes 1,036 Medium Duty sales Things are a but murkier in the midsize segment, where the Chevy Colorado slipped 36% to just 21,430 units sold — just a few hundred better than the slow-selling Ford Ranger's Q1 numbers. The GMC Canyon experienced an almost identical slide, finishing the quarter with just 4,483 units sold. For perspective, Jeep sold more than 15,000 Gladiators and Toyota's midsize Tacoma slipped less than 8%, finishing the quarter with nearly 54,000 sales. We suspect this discrepancy in full- and mid-size truck sales comes from shifting incentives. Ford, GM and FCA would like to keep selling bigger trucks because there's far more profit margin built into their list prices. Even with tens of thousands of dollars in manufacturer money on the hood, big trucks still make money. Since these automakers report quarterly, we won't get another good look at these numbers until July, but if you thought that 2019 represented the new normal for U.S. auto sales, well, think again.
Lincoln recycling tree fibers into new MKX armrest
Thu, Feb 27 2014Want to hug a tree, or at least a really small part of one. Then set your arm down on one of those armrests in the 2014 Lincoln MKX crossover. The US automaker is working with Weyerhaeuser and Johnson Controls on a tree-based, cellulose-reinforced polypropylene material used in the component that connects the armrest to the floor console, Wards Auto says. With properties similar to plastic, the tree-based material replaces fiberglass and is about six percent lighter. No big deal for now, but if the material starts getting used for things like battery trays and interior storage covers, that loss in weight may eventually start adding up enough to boost fuel economy a bit, providing a green double bonus. Lincoln parent Ford, which isn't saying how much more (or less?) it costs to use the new material, established its Biomaterials and Plastics Research team in 2001. In 2007, the company began using soy-based foam in car seats used for models such as the Lincoln Navigator and Ford Mustang and has since broadened biomaterials use to components like floormats and cupholder inserts. Ford also used recycled plastic bottles from the 2012 North America International Auto Show for seats in the Focus Electric.
