FIAT 500L for Sale

FANTASTIC ORIGINAL GLEAMING BODYWORK

Weenie Fiats Ltd

are selling this fabulous Fiat 500 on behalf of one of our customers

We were commissioned by this customer in 2011 to refurbish this fabulous Fiat 500.

This Fiat 500 (aka Lorenzo) has all original bodywork with no replacement panels since it was manufactured in 1973.

We addressed a couple of dings and dents and carried out a full interior and exterior respray in red changing it from it’s original orange paint colour as requested by our customer.

The Fiat 500's refurbishment also included the following brand new parts:

·         650cc engine (only 46 miles covered since fitted in 2011)

·         Synchromesh gearbox

·         Front disc brake conversion

·         Alloy wheels

·         Pirelli Cincurato Tyres

·         and much much more - too much to list .....

We have a fully documented refurbishment history available as we do with all our restorations, available  for serious buyers upon request when viewing the Fiat 500.

We originally sourced this Fiat 500 for this customer to accompany his other Fiat 500 which we fully refurbished in 2010 - they look like brothers now. The owner however is retaining the younger brother.

No expense was spared on this refurbishment, although we carried out the refurbishment 2 years ago this Fiat 500 still looks amazing and there is no reason why he shouldn't continue to do so for many years to come if looked after well.

This Fiat 500 is now being sold due to not being used as much as had been planned so it's time to let him go to another loving and caring Fiat 500 owner

Please call or visit us at Weenie Fiats for more information or to arrange to view the Fiat.

We are confident that anyone who views this Fiat 500

will fall in love with him.

Stellantis and Ferrari boss is pitted against his own mother in Agnelli inheritance drama

Sun, May 21 2023

MILAN, Italy — A court in Turin is set to rule in the coming weeks on an inheritance dispute dividing the Agnelli family, the founders of the Fiat car company and arguably the best known of Italy's business dynasties. The case stems from the estate of Gianni Agnelli, the celebrated Fiat boss who was a symbol of Italy's post-war economic boom and who died two decades ago. It pits Agnelli's daughter Margherita, who inherited 1.2 billion euros ($1.3 billion), against three of her eight children including her eldest, John Elkann, the chairman of Ferrari and carmaker Stellantis. In the dispute that has riven one of Italy's elite families, Margherita is fighting to overturn agreements she signed after her father's death in order to eventually benefit her five children from a second marriage, sources close to her say. Should the Turin court decide in her favor, Margherita, who is 67 and Gianni Agnelli's only surviving child, could stake a claim to half of her late mother's estate and a share in the Elkann family business. The center of the dispute The dispute has its origins in an inheritance deal known as the "Geneva pacts" that Margherita, an artist and philanthropist, signed in 2004 after the death of her father the previous year and agreed to when Fiat was on the brink of bankruptcy. Under the first pact, Margherita received property, works of art and other liquid assets from Gianni's estate and renounced any future influence in the Dicembre (December) company, a key part of the ownership structure of Exor, the Agnelli-family holding. The pacts cemented John Elkann's position as Gianni Agnelli's chosen successor and effectively took his mother Margherita out of the equation. John Elkann, 47, now leads Exor, which owns slices of prestigious businesses and brands including national newspapers and the soccer club Juventus. The second pact covered what would happen to the estate of Margherita's mother Marella, who died in 2019 aged 91. Marella passed her Dicembre stake to three of her grandchildren, John, his brother Lapo and sister Ginevra, from Margherita's first marriage to journalist Alain Elkann. Margherita wants the pacts to be rescinded to be able to give her children with second husband Serge De Pahlen, a Franco-Russian former Fiat executive, a share of their grandmother's estate, sources close to her say.

Fiat Beast of Turin fires up, vows to kill all in its path of destruction

Tue, Mar 31 2015

The roadways, racetracks and lawns of Goodwood have seen a lot of varied machinery over the years. But few if any can match the Beast of Turin for outright raunchiness and brutality. The vehicle in question is a Fiat S76, built in 1911 to do nothing but go fast in a straight line, contesting the era's outright land-speed record. It features a monstrous 28.5-liter four-cylinder engine churning out 290 horsepower that propelled what would become known as the Beast of Turin to a top speed of around 140 miles per hour, which was downright crazy for that era. Now restored to running condition, the Beast of Turin is set to hit the Goodwood Festival of Speed this June. But before it does, Charles March – Earl of March and Kinrara and lord of Goodwood House – took a ride in it around his estate on a date no less suitable than Friday the 13th of March. Witness the mayhem in the video above. News Source: Goodwood Road & Racing via YouTube Fiat Automotive History Racing Vehicles Classics Videos Goodwood autoblog black

Pininfarina launches Classiche certification program for vintage cars

Tue, Jan 23 2024

Pininfarina is focused on its future as a carmaker, but it's not forgetting about its past as a design house and contract manufacturer. The brand launched a certification program called Pininfarina Classiche that aims to give enthusiasts valuable details about their vintage car. Only two cars will initially be certifiable by Pininfarina: the four evolutions of the Alfa Romeo Spider built between 1966 and 1993 and the different versions of the Fiat 124 Spider sold from 1966 to 1985. Pininfarina designed both roadsters, and it notably took over production and sales of the Fiat model in 1982. American sales of the Pininfarina-badged Spider started for 1984 following Fiat's exit from our market. The certification service aims to provide collectors with production-related data about their car. This includes the chassis number, the market it was built for, the original paint and upholstery colors, the date that the car left Pininfarina's factory, as well as any and all other details that are available, such as the engine number and, for convertibles, the color of the soft top. Pininfarina notes that it waited until 2024 to offer this service because providing it required cataloging its archives, which took about two years, and using an archive management software. Enthusiasts who want to get their car certified need to reach out to Pininfarina. The firm will look through its archives and give the customer a list of what's available. The certification costs ˆ400 (about $430) for cars built before 1980 and ˆ300 (around $330) for post-1980 models.  Pininfarina has designed and built dozens of cars since its inception in 1930, and it plans to expand its Classiche service in the near future. It notes that its archives department includes production serial numbers for over 700,000 cars and more than 20,000 historical documents such as design sketches, technical blueprints, photos taken on the assembly line, and correspondence with the carmakers it worked with.
