1986 Ferrari Mondial 3.2 Cabriolet ******no Reserve****** on 2040-cars
Brentwood, Tennessee, United States

Car is all original and very clean. Only 48,000 miles. I bought it from the second
owner who had it for 7 years. This is becoming a more and more desired model
given they’re one of the more bullet proof, dependable Ferraris and are relatively easy to
work on (engine doesn’t need to be removed for services); not to mention
they’re rare. Hard to beat the sound, the
style, the handling……I get questions/looks every place I take it. ·
Original Red (Corso Rosso) exterior and black
(Nero) leather interior ·
Original paint – never touched up. Has some minor / few rock chips on the
aluminum front hood deck fin….again, very minor but wanted to fully disclose. ·
Runs / starts extremely well. Sounds incredible.
Handling is great. ·
Had the "major" Ferrari service 7,000
miles ago (full tune up, water pump, fuel filters, timing belts, hoses, and
more) so wont need another major until 60k ·
Interior very nice....seats flawless, dash
flawless, all electronics work ·
AC blows cold, heater blows hot ·
Has Denon AM/FM cassette stereo system with 6 disc changer ·
Includes full size spare with matching OEM
wheel · Full Ferrari took kit ·
Service records; parts records ·
Owners manual, Shop manual, Parts manual ·
Extra oil filter ·
Tonneau cover that covers the interior area ·
Beverly Hills custom fit full car cover ·
Upgraded aluminum pedals ·
Convertible top is perfect and rear window is
clear (not yellowed) ·
Includes boot for when top is down · Michelin TRX tires have about 400 miles on them · I just installed a new and redesigned GT Car Parts fuesebox. The boxes in the 328, 308, Mondials and some others are the one weakness in these cars. It was showing signs of corrosion and delamination, so I replaced. · Also installed a new Optima Red Top battery - the best I could get. · And, I have two new cam belts and two new Hill Engineering tensioner bearings - the key maintenance items on these machines. These were just replaced 7,000 miles ago......but due to time, could be installed. Its very easy to do and involves only removing the right rear wheel - the engines in the Mondials do not need to be removed for services. If I find some time in the near future, I will do it.....but with travel and family, unlikely. I can provide a tutorial with pictures if needed. So this car is top notch and ready to drive....needs not a thing. NADA average retail is $34,500 and high retail is $39,900 – before any low mileage adjust. Car needs nothing at all. Title is clear and clean with no liens.
Potential for PARTIAL trades plus cash. Welcome to bring a mechanic by. Welcome to view the car in person before
bidding/buying. Test drives offered with
cash/cashiers check in hand. Immediate $500 pay pal deposit due upon winning bid. I will work with shippers. If no bids are received during listing, I reserve right to end the listing early since I will be offering it locally to some club members and co-workers. I also have an offer from a local dealer on taking a vehicle plus cash from him, which I might entertain.

FIA president and former Ferrari boss Jean Todt named UN special envoy
Thu, Apr 30 2015Jean Todt, the 69-year-old former Scuderia Ferrari boss, Ferrari CEO and current FIA president has been named the United Nation's special envoy for road safety. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon announced the appointment Wednesday in Paris. Citing the 1.3 million people killed and the 50 million people injured each year on the world's roads, the UN is appointing Todt to mobilize "sustained political commitment towards road safety." Beyond that, the Frenchman will work towards raising awareness of the UN's "road safety legal instruments." "The road safety challenge is too often ignored, but road injuries are the number one killer of young people aged 15 to 29. That being the case, it deserves much more attention on the global political agenda," Todt said in the attached statement. "This appointment will bring greater visibility to efforts to tackle this health and development crisis, as well as new leadership and renewed momentum." Meanwhile, the FIA also confirmed Todt and 44 other delegates in Nepal to attend the organization's Asia-Pacific Sport Regional Congress in Kathmandu were safe after the country was struck by a devastating earthquake last week. Scroll on down for the official press release from the FIA. Ferrari 488 GTO would be fastest V8 car ever from Maranello
Fri, Apr 28 2017It should surprise absolutely no one to learn that Ferrari may be cooking up an even hotter variant of the 488 GTB. If a report from Autocar is true, the new car will resurrect the hallowed GTO moniker and pack more than 700 horsepower from its twin-turbocharged mid-mounted V8. It would be the successor to the wild and wonderful Ferrari 458 Speciale, the swan song for the naturally aspirated V8 in Maranello. This will be the fourth time Ferrari has used the name GTO. The first was in the 1960s on the 250 GTO and then again in the 1980s on the 288 GTO. Most recently, a more track-oriented variant of the 599 GTB was released as the 599 GTO. Each of these cars eschewed most pretense of comfort and civility in the pursuit of power and performance. While they didn't carry the GTO moniker, the 430 Scuderia and the 458 Speciale were designed with a similar philosophy. Since the standard 488 GTB already makes 661 horsepower, it doesn't seem like a stretch to up the boost and strengthen the internals to move the needle past 700. Ferrari can't let the new 710-horsepower McLaren 720S have all of the fun. The 488 GTO should use lighter components and lose some interior trim and sound deadening to drop weight. Autocar believes the new model will dip below 3,000 pounds, absolutely svelte for a car this size. The car should have better aero, a revised suspension, and higher performance wheels and tires. For non-Ferrari comparison, think Porsche 911 GT3. We've seen some s py shots of a new Ferrari recently, but at the time we thought this might be the rumored Dino. It's unclear if that's still the case, but either way, look for something big from Ferrari sometime later this year. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. Ferrari revealed the LaFerrari Aperta, and yeah, it's already sold out
Thu, Sep 29 2016We saw this one coming as far away as the mid-engine Corvette: The LaFerrari is getting a convertible version. Publically revealed Thursday at the Paris Motor Show, the LaFerrari Aperta promises the same performance as the regular LaFerrari – with an open-air design. We had seen it already, actually, but today brought confirmation that it will be called Aperta, not Spider. It's already sold out (duh) and will be limited to 209 copies. Two hundred of those go to regular people, or Ferrari customers anyway, and nine will be held back by the company to show off at events in 2017 as the automaker celebrates its 70th anniversary. Ferrari says the LaFerrari Aperta maintains the torsional rigidity and aerodynamics of the hardtop. The powertrain is the same: a V12 paired with an electric motor and KERS technology to generate 949 total horsepower. Meanwhile, Ferrari revealed details on five liveries to celebrate its 70th anniversary based on its current product line with a total of 350 units set to be produced. They are: The Steve McQueen, which takes inspiration from SMQ's iconic 1960s 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso. The Green Jewel, a green scheme based on the 365 P2 from Le Mans competition. The Stirling, which evokes a 250 GT Berlinetta SWB from 1961 driven to victory by Stirling Moss. The Schumacher, a red color scheme based on Ferrari's 2003 Formula One car piloted to seven victories by Michael Schumacher. The White Spider, a tribute to the 375 MM Pinin Farina Spider. The company also showed the rear-wheel-drive, turbo V8-powered GTC4 Lusso T for the first time at an auto show. As you can tell, the Paris show is a busy one for Ferrari. That's fine with us.
