Normally I am not so interested in seeking out multiple personality types, but in the case of the Ferrari 612,  I made an exception.   It is as tame and comfortable as 7 series BMW, as the FI trans has an option to switch to an auto mode when you have to pick up a call.   Its understated demeanor does not draw attention when you do not want.   However,   when asked it can brace you against the seat and the V12 can sing the most beautiful tune it will put chills down your back.    I have previously owned several Ferraris and completely enjoyed this vehicle for my lifestyle.   With two kids, I can drop them off at practice on Saturday morning (trunk holds plenty of sports gear.) and my wife and I can go shopping before heading out in the afternoon for a late afternoon with my friends.     The handling is incredibly solid, shifting is smooth and it truly is a master of disguise.  Previously I have owned a 430, 456 and 575.   All of them are great but the 612 is all of them combined.   F430 was a fantastic for short paddle shifting sporty drive-only missions, but it was not for longer distances or multitasking,  456 not enough growl, 575 had growl & guts but lacked back seat and tiny boot.     I hate to sell this car but I am moving from NJ to Hong Kong for 24 months for work and it is simply not practical to keep it.

Regarding the vehicle specifically, I understand the photos are not great, however, prior to purchasing I will be glad to coordinate a pre-inspection at my local Ferrari dealer.  The cost of the inspection I will offset against the purchase price.   The vehicle has a dealer applied 3M protective film on the mirrors and leading edges of the front.    All of the paint is original, no damage, repair, paint or dings.   The vehicle was winter stored at my local Ferrari dealership in a heated garage and they have performed the services.

Factory options:  Daytona Seats, Shields, Black Calipers.

- 2 of factory Keys
- All books, manuals, window sticker, sound system cards, etc  (the full package of everything that it given to owner when the car is purchased new)
-All service records from me and previous owner
- Red Ferrari vehicle cover

There is a scrape in the paint under the front air spoiler.  It is 3" wide and 2" long and  not visible unless you get under the vehicle, this is highlighted in a photo
The belt service is due and was last performed in Sept 09.

I am happy to answer any questions regarding the condition and sale logistics.   Obviously trading is out of the question as well as finaning.

Tks

Ferrari plans 15 new models, shares name of its SUV

Tue, Sep 18 2018

MARANELLO, Italy — Ferrari plans to launch 15 new models, including hybrid cars, a utility vehicle and more special editions as part of its new chief executive's efforts to double core earnings by 2022. The supercar maker shifted to a guidance range for adjusted core earnings of 1.8-2.0 billion euros ($2.1-2.3 billion) by 2022, rather than the 2 billion figure set by late Ferrari boss Sergio Marchionne. But his successor sought to reassure investors that the company can maintain recent strong growth. "This is an ambitious plan, but a doable one based on a concrete, detailed framework," Louis Camilleri said on Tuesday at the company's Maranello headquarters in Italy. Ferrari shares gained 0.6 percent by 1330 GMT, recovering from earlier losses. The stock slid more than 8 percent on Aug. 1 when Camilleri described Marchionne's targets as "aspirational." Marchionne's sudden death in July jolted investors who had expected the auto industry grandee to remain at the wheel until 2021, having more than doubled Ferrari's market value since taking it public in 2015. Camilleri and his team outlined a plan to show how a brand known for its racing pedigree and roaring combustion engines will shift to making a utility vehicle and hybrid cars and boost margins to over 38 percent without sacrificing exclusivity. The company increased its dividend payout ratio and announced a 1.5 billion-euro share buyback plan. Its marketing chief also promised a "significant increase in average retail price." Following Marchionne's roadmap With margins at 30 percent now, strong pricing power and an enviable customer waiting list, Camilleri inherits a business firing on all cylinders and is not expected to stray far from his predecessor's script. Marchionne had orchestrated Ferrari's spinoff from parent Fiat Chrysler, positioned it as a luxury brand rather than a carmaker, and managed to do what few thought possible: sail through a self-imposed production cap of 7,000 cars a year without sacrificing pricing power or its exclusive appeal. Ferrari has clocked up years of record earnings, helped by special editions and a customization program. But it could prove tough to maintain the company's high valuation as emissions rules tighten, capital spending increases and the diverging interests of investors, racing fans, owners and collectors become harder to balance.

How not to unload the 1 of 1 Ferrari P4/5 Competizione from a trailer

Mon, 28 Oct 2013

Believe it or not, unloading a car from a transport vehicle is a delicate science. It's alarmingly easy to damage a car in the tight, elevated confines of a dedicated car hauler, but as these gentlemen at the Monterey car week found out, even getting a car off a flatbed comes with its own unique set of challenges.
When the car you're moving off said flatbed is the only Ferrari P4/5 Competizione in existence, meticulously built to the specifications of Ferrari collector James Glickenhaus, we imagine the stress level is even greater. Yes, this is an unloading gone wrong, although it could have always been worse. The movers have the right idea, working boards underneath the car, but simply didn't account for the car moving them. The result is a racecar, resting ever so gracefully, on its carbon-fiber nose. Getting the car out of such a precarious position safely requires nearly as much skill as getting it off in the first place.
