This is a low mileage 1998 Maranello, 5.5L, twelve cylinder in very good condition; but with a damage history. The damage was confined to the drivers area. None of the running gear was damaged. The repair is very professional and I doubt if a Ferrari expert could detect any flaws.
The color combination is one of the most desirable and rarest in the big car Ferrari line. It is black on black!
Recent maintenance: The original tires were replaced in March of this year not because the tires were worn out but because of their age. They were replaced with Goodyear F1, Zspeeds, the recommended size and then balanced. The new tires have less than 30 miles on them, at the time of this ad.
I had both fuel pumps replaced, the fuel lines flushed, and the fuel tank removed and flushed by Ferrari of Central Florida. The oxygen censers and ECU's were replaced.
The hydrolic throwout bearing started to leak so I had it replaced at the Collection in Miami. /The AC compressor was sent out for a rebuild and the system was recharged.
The car starts quickly and idles smoothly. All the coolants are in the green, and it tracks as it should, brakes are excellent. I have 2 keys, the Ferrari battery charger, and the Ferrari toolkit, ( minus a screwdriver), that will go with the sale.
At the conclusion of the sale, I would like the buyer to contact me at the phone number provided. I will require a non refundable wire transfer of $3000 within 2 days of the end of the sale. Balance of the purchase price to be paid by cleared wire transfer within 10 days of end of auction; prior to pickup or delivery of the car.
I would prefer for the winning bidder to pickup the car, but if that is not possible I can deliver the car door to door anywhere south of Orlando for free. I can personally deliver the car to your address anywhere in the U.S., for a fee. Or, I will work with your shipper to facilitate a smooth transfer.
This is your opportunity to own a rare, exotic car for the price of a used BMW.
If you have any questions about the car, payment, or shipping call me at; 239-731-4986 or 239-297-0273. My name is Carl.

You can apply to attempt to break the world record for fastest blindfolded driver [w/video]
Sat, 07 Jun 2014The Guinness-certified world record for "fastest speed for a car driven blindfolded" is 186.12 miles per hour, set by Mike Newman in a Porsche GT2 last year at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground in England. Then earlier this year, Newman said he'd go for the 200 mph mark - something he might want to talk to fellow Bruntingthorpe speed demons Vmax200 about. UK firm Extreme Motorsport, which seems to have been set up solely to set blindfold driving and riding records, wants to wrest the record from Newman using a Ferrari 458 Challenge and the even longer runway at Elvington Airfield in York, England.
Strangely, it appears the terms "legally blind" and "blindfolded" equate to the same thing. The Guinness record and Extreme Sports say "blindfolded," but Newman and the man who held the record before him, Turkish pop singer Metin Sentürk, are legally blind and neither of them wore blindfolds during their record attempts.
No matter - the real point is that Extreme Motorsport is casting about for a driver to set a new record. The could-be-shady part is that Extreme is pretty vague about what's involved; they'll provide the car or the motorcycle, but you have to "choose a charity and pledge to give them all the funds you raise above the entrance fee and for any other personal expenses you may need to participate in the challenge." Extreme doesn't give any indication of how much that entrance fee might be.
Scuderia Ferrari dreams up the F1 car of the future
Tue, Feb 17 2015Formula One is in for a big shakeup, at least if all the parties can agree on a way forward at a meeting of the F1 commission today in Geneva. And this is the way Ferrari apparently hopes things will go. Dreamt up by the design department in Maranello, this concept represents Ferrari's vision for the F1 car of the future. Its got far more streamlined aerodynamics, a two-tier front wing, a much larger rear wing, and wheels that are still "open" but far more enveloped than anything we've seen to date, wrapped in low-profile tires like those proposed by Pirelli. The cockpit is still open as well, contrary to proposals to enclose them, with a conceptual helmet design that seems to meld into the bodywork – though we're not quite sure how that would be implemented, practically speaking. It's a pretty striking design, especially compared to the oddball shapes to which modern grand prix racers have evolved over recent years, with all their fragile appendages. Actually putting this into practice, though, is another matter entirely. Both McLaren and Red Bull were said to have shown their own evolutionary designs to the F1 strategy group, though they didn't release theirs to the public. This pie-in-the-sky proposal from Ferrari looks a bit closer to some of the radical, futuristic designs penned by Red Bull for Gran Turismo. Ferrari dips into its parts bin to test a Dino, or something
Wed, Mar 22 2017"It's a when not an if. We know that it [Dino] is an under-used resource, but that's why we need to get it right." – Sergio Marchionne We know Ferrari is thinking about bringing back the Dino. This might be it. Or not. Spy shooters snapped this prototype during winter testing in Sweden, sparking speculation the long-hoped for Dino could return. Witnesses said the mule didn't sound like it had a V8, suggesting the 2.9-liter V6 turbo developed by Ferrari for the Alfa Romeo Giulia was instead providing power. Fiat Chrysler chief Sergio Marchionne said back in 2015: "It's a when not an if. We know that it [Dino] is an under-used resource, but that's why we need to get it right." He also suggested a 500-hp V6 would be the right fit for a new Dino. That Alfa engine makes 505 ponies in the Giulia's Quadrifoglio trim But those comments are nearly two years old, when Ferrari was owned by Fiat Chrysler. Ferrari was spun off in the fall of 2015, though Marchionne remains head of the supercar maker in addition to leading FCA. But what are we actually looking at here? There's bits of both the 488 GTB and its predecessor, the 458 Italia, Frankensteined together onto the prototype. There are huge tailgun exhausts in back. The car is testing on a snowy road. Could in fact Ferrari be shaking down an all-wheel-drive 488 variant? A high performance version? On the other hand, the Dino was a mid-engine car, and the similar layout of the 458/488 line makes for a fitting testbed. Perhaps Ferrari is using that body style to conceal the identity of an all-new project like the Dino. Or perhaps... Related Video:
