1998 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta F1
Introduced in 1994, the Ferrari GTB was the first in it's series and was an evolution of the Ferrari 348. The F355 was produced between 1994-1999, during which time additional series were manufactured. The GTB (Berlinetta model) was teh original Ferrari F355, followed by the targa topped GTS, the Spider, and later, by a very limited run of Serie Fiorano models. The Ferrari F355 became such a popular mnodel that it's own race was introduced, called the F355 challenge.
Arguably one of the prettiest Ferrari's built in the last 20 years, the F355 series sported Lithe Pininfarnia lines and a dual overhead-cam, 3,496cc V-8 with a surprising five valves per cylinder. This high-revving masterpiece made 375hp and 268lfs.ft of torque, and in this example, was mated to Ferrari's Formula One-derived six speed manual gearbox, with paddle-shifted electro-hydraulic actuation. Built in teh second to last year of production, this solid roof car cost $156,715.00 brand new and was one of EXACTLY 1,042 F1 Berlinetta's built.
The Modena Yellow paint is eyecatching to say the least. The interior is solid black leather and very comfortable. A mere 14,638 miles are showing on the dodmeter. Power Windows, Power Steering and Power Locks. ABS Brakes, Traction Control, Cruise Control. Factory sound system includes AM/FM Cassette and CD Changer. Security System. This car was originally purchased from Wide World of Cars in Spring Valley NY.
This car has been tucked away in storage for the past several years after the passing of it's owner. The car was last serviced in 2008 at 13,399 miles.
This Ferrari is definately something to look at.. And oh so much fun to drive!!

Marchionne: FCA, but not Ferrari, interested in Formula E
Sat, Aug 5 2017It seems like automakers have been clamoring to get on board with Formula E lately. In just the last few weeks a number of manufacturers have either become more directly involved, or otherwise announced entry into the series in coming years. That includes Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche, with the latter two abandoning other series to join the electric one. Now, FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne says his company might join Formula E as well, according to Motorsport. Previously, Marchionne had toyed with the idea of bringing Ferrari into the Formula E field, but now says that would be unlikely. Instead, he thinks an FCA brand would be a better fit, perhaps Alfa Romeo or Maserati. At the moment, Maserati seems like the best fit, as Marchionne just announced that the brand would electrify its entire lineup after 2019, with each car it sells having either a hybrid or electric powertrain. Fans would probably be excited to see Maserati return to racing, and Formula E would be a good test laboratory for the development of electric propulsion technology. Still, another brand could represent FCA in Formula E, and apply the knowledge learned there to its vehicles, as Marchionne says half of the FCA fleet will be electrified by the end of the company's five-year plan ending in 2022. Marchionne said that while Ferrari won't be directly involved, he doesn't know which FCA brand – Alfa Romeo, Dodge, Chrysler, Fiat, or Maserati – would enter. As interesting as an electric Dodge race car would be, it seems unlikely, especially because of, well, Maserati. We're hoping it's Jeep, though. Ferrari boss Montezemolo expects big changes from FIA
Mon, 02 Dec 2013You'd think that with former Ferrari principal Jean Todt running the FIA, the relationship between the motorsport governing body and the team he once called home would be a solid one. But his former boss expects more from the organization that overseas Formula One.
In a recent interview (excerpts from which you can read below), Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo pointed to some perceived inconsistencies in rulings made by FIA officials this season and called for "strong changes." Among those controversies was a drive-through penalty handed to Felipe Massa at the season-closing Brazilian Grand Prix last weekend, his last for the Scuderia. Massa was reprimanded for cutting across the white line that marks the exit from the pit lane, the penalty for which dropped him from fourth place in the race to seventh, and cost Ferrari its second place in the final standings for the constructors' championship - and with it a good $10 million in prize money. Montezemolo characterized the penalty as "disproportionate and unjust".
The Ferrari chief also pointed to penalties handed to Mercedes as either too harsh or not harsh enough, calling for greater consistency in FIA rulings and implying that more permanent race stewards be appointed instead of alternating race to race.
Ferrari officially teases successor to Enzo throne
Fri, 14 Dec 2012You're looking at our best view yet of the upcoming successor to the Ferrari Enzo. Rumors kicking around the web insist the new reigning monarch of the Italian kingdom will carry the "F150" name when it bows, otherwise known as the Special Limited Series. Word has it Ferrari has focused all of its experience in Formula One to create the new model. According to the manufacturer's official online magazine, the new ultracar will boast a carbon fiber monocoque chassis built in "an almost handmade style" using four types of the composite. We aren't sure exactly what that means, but the design should keep weight to a minimum.
Power should come courtesy of an 800 horsepower V12 engine married to a HY-KERS system good for an additional 100 hp. Early estimates say the creation will tip the scales at under 3,000 pounds, which means the vehicle will be a performance marvel. Sounds like a party.
