1995 Ferrari F355 Spider
VIN ZFFPR48A350103264
Black with Tan Leather Interior

The Ferrari 355 Spider was produced from 1994 through 1999 and replaced the Ferrari 348. The 355 was viewed as an enormous improvement over its predecessor in terms of driving feel, performance, and serviceability. Two versions were available; the Berlinetta and the GTS. Over $135,000 when new, today they represent excellent value in modern Ferraris, and have developed a strong following. Certainly when new, the specification was impressive, with over 100hp per liter, five valves per cylinder, a 6-speed transmission, among the first offered in the United States.

This particular car is an unmodified and unmolested 28,500 mile 6-speed spider finished in black with tan interior. The car is equipped with Challenge rear grille as well as modular wheels. The original wheels are included with the car. It is in very good cosmetic condition, with nice paintwork, which shows minor swirl marks and a few chips on the front of the car from road use. The panels fit and operate well. The glass and lights are in excellent shape as well, as are the wheels other than light curb rash and clearcoat deterioration to the rim only on the right rear wheel. The remaining three wheels are excellent. The trim is generally excellent other than a small area of black paint peeling from the trim on top of the driver’s door.

The interior is original and in good condition. The dashboard shows virtually no shrinkage, just a small amount limited to the binnacle and passenger airbag cover. The gauges and switches are nice, while the leather is intact and in good general condition, although there is some wear to the driver’s seat bolster and a good thorough cleaning and conditioning would benefit the car significantly. The carpets are in nice shape and the trim is intact although it is displaying the typical stickiness that affects Ferraris of this period.

The engine compartment and front compartment are both unmodified and very clean. The car comes with tan over mats and Schedoni leather bag for the tools and compressor. The car is equipped with an Alpine 6 CD changer.

This is a great opportunity to acquire an affordable open Ferrari in a tasteful color combination with 6-speed transmission. Unmodified and with great integrity, this car has low mileage. It is due for a belt service at this time and comes with its original wheels, tools, and compressor.

WE ARE AWARE THAT THIS CAR IS NOT CURRENT ON ITS MAJOR SERVICE AND WE HAVE PRICED IT ACCORDINGLY!

Race Recap: 2013 Malaysian Grand Prix is a fool in the rain

Mon, 25 Mar 2013

Humidity, hunger and heartbreak were the takeaways from the Malaysian Formula One Grand Prix. A proper track with a wider variety of straights and corners than the street circuit in Australia, the second race of the season was expected to be a better test of the performance of the 11 teams on the grid. It was also supposed to be a more accurate test of the Pirelli tires, the bits of rubber at the four corners of the car still at the top of the performance agenda for all the top teams except for McLaren, which even larger issues with its new car to deal with.
Then it rained. Then it rained some more. Then it rained so hard just before the race that numerous drivers slid off the track on the parade lap. Then came the race, and then came the figurative tears and ones of the crocodile variety as well.

Possible Ferrari F70/F150 specs emerge from private showings

Fri, 01 Feb 2013

At a private showing in Maranello, a group of lucky souls got to sneak a peek at the upcoming successor to the Ferrari Enzo, which has been referred to as both the F70 and F150 (not that F-150). While we still don't get any name confirmation or a definitive idea (aside from spy shots) as to what the newest Ferrari supercar will look like, one of the attendees did manage to pass along some vital performance information about the car as well as production numbers that are said to be limited to just 499 units.
The report on Auto-Blog.com.mx confirms that the Enzo successor will utilize an 800-horsepower V12 paired with a hybrid KERS good for another 150 hp. The engine's peak power kicks in at a screaming 9,200 rpm, while peak torque (not divulged) will be available at just 1,000 rpm. That kind of power could be great in just about anything, but the report also says that this new Ferrari model will have a dry weight of just 2,799 pounds (about the same as the Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S twins and just slightly more than a Mazda MX-5 Miata). Rumored speed times include a top speed of 229 miles per hour, and the ability to run from 0-60 mph in less than three seconds; doubling that speed takes an extra second.
We've already seen the car's carbon fiber chassis and now we're just waiting to see the production car in real life, but Ferrari has not announced when the car will be introduced.

NHTSA fines Ferrari $3.5 million for missing reports

Fri, 31 Oct 2014

Ferrari will pay a $3.5 million penalty for family to comply with oversight requirements set forth by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The federal agency that oversees road safety in the United States announced Friday morning that Ferrari had not submitted early warning reports for the past three years. These reports help the agency identify potential or existing safety threats.
In the wake of the rolling recalls for defective General Motors ignition switches, there has been considerable scrutiny of NHTSA's handling - or mishandling - of these early warning reports. Friday's fine is an indication the agency is taking its enforcement mandates more seriously, albeit against a manufacturer that has no large-scale presence on American roads.
