I have ,after 10 years of being in my collection, decided to put my 1989 Ferrari 328 GTS up for sale ,to make room for new additions . This one of the last 328’s built in a very successful and a very well received run. I have just had the shop ,that has taken care of most of my automobiles for the past 15 years, do a complete full 30k service on this car. The full timing belt and valve adjustment service has been done. In addition to the full timing belt service, I had the car fully gone through. The brakes have been fully serviced, brand new performance pads front and rear, all rotors machined and all the lines checked and the system fully flushed and filled with synthetic brake fluid. The coolant system was fully flushed and all lines checked, the radiator was taken out cleaned to the core and resealed and refinished to new standards. They installed a new water pump as well as a new fuel filter and spark plugs.I had new alternator installed, since the original was charging to optimum standards. I had a new battery installed as well. The gearbox was flushed and cleaned and filled with Mobil 1 synthetic oil. The engine was also filled with Mobil 1 10W-40 synthetic. The only fluids I have used on this car since I have owned it. This intensive service cost $8,000 mainly because I have been a very good customer for a long time and they give me a brake on the labor only charging me for 45 hours work in total. The same service on the same car would run from 10k to 12 k at any other shop and probably more at a dealer. I have changed the oil and filter every 6 months no matter the mileage. Aside from routine service, since I have owned the car I have had the shift shaft seal replaced, the condenser ,receiver dryer, and evaporator coil in the A/C system replaced and filled with R134A(which it had already been converted to before I bought it). I have kept this Ferrari completely original with no modifications aside from updating the stereo system with a new Kenwood system with Bluetooth and satellite radio with new speakers. I have the original Blaupunkt that was installed when the car was new. I have stored this Ferrari when I wasn’t using it, in a climate controlled plastic bubble ( Car Capsule)since I’ve owned it. This is truly an exquisite 328 GTS. This Ferrari looks, drives, feels and sounds wonderful. The 328 GTS is one of the most popular and admired Ferrari’s, and with it’s Beautiful iconic shape, superb driving characteristics, that melodious sound from that magnificent Ferrari V-8,to it’s relatively excellent reliability(for a Ferrari or any other exotic for that matter), it’s easy to know why it is such a classic. If you are interested in owning a 328 GTS and know these car ,then you know the 89’s are the year to have. These Ferrari’s where some of the last hand built ones and in that era they would make some slight changes during a model run and even though it was the last year of this cars run and they had already started building the less desirable 348 ,they made some significant changes. Staring with the braking system adding ABS( very rare at the time),changing the suspension geometry aiding in the braking as well a better ride and more predictable handling behavior at the limit, as well as tweaking the Bosch electronic fuel injection making the engine even more fluid and responsive.. This 328 GTS is one of the nicest you will find, is it a 100 point concours winning show car, No. I sit just a very nice daily driver, No,, it’s so much nicer than that. Is it a non driven garage queen, No to that too. What it is ,is a very well serviced ,moderately driven 328GTS in beyond excellent condition. I have owned just about every make of car out there and I know the market quite well and I have priced my 328 well below what a lot of the 89’s are going for . You can find almost new 89 328’s with no miles in perfect condition out there, but I guarantee they will be a minimum of 20-25k more than this one and I would put this one up against any of them. On the flip side you can probably find a few 89 328’s out there for a little less than this one, but I can also guarantee they will not be of the same quality or condition as this one. Now you can find another year 328 for around the same price and it should be comparable to this car in condition, service and mileage wise, but it wont have the updates of the 89’s or be as desirable. So for the same money why not get the 89? . I am open to discussing the car if you would like to contact me, but please keep in mind when you do or when you are submitting offers, there is a big difference between looking to sell something and needing to sell something, this is definitely the former. Ferrari CEO confirms hybrid model will be revealed this month
Thu, May 9 2019Ferrari confirmed it's going to reveal a hybrid supercar before the month is over in its Q1 2019 financial call. CEO, Louis Camilleri made the statement. "The second model will be presented at the end of this month, with the world premiere held here in Maranello. As we have stated previously, it will be a top-of-the-line hybrid with supercar performance and a true beauty," Camilleri said. The Motley Fool posted a transcript of the entire earnings call online, and Motor1 initially reported the news. We knew a hybrid supercar was on its way, but now we know it's for sure happening this month from Maranello. The most recent rumors and reports concerning this car was that it would be a twin-turbo V6 with a combined system output of 723 horsepower and 800 pound-feet of torque. A V8 hybrid powertrain in a different model is also expected to be revealed at some point, but that's reportedly going to come after the V6. Camilleri went on to say that this car "will be above the 812 Superfast. So it's not a 488 replacement per se." The 812 Superfast has supercar performance from its 6.5-liter V12, but it's more of a grand tourer in the Ferrari lineup. And the F8 Tributo was just released as the 488 GTB's successor, so it's more likely to be similar to the 812 with a different powertrain. Sitting above the 812 Superfast is no small chore, though, as that car makes 789 earth-shattering horsepower and 530 pound-feet of torque. Ferrari has dabbled in a hybrid powertrain before with the LaFerrari. That car had a 6.3-liter V12 supplemented by a HY-KERS unit, providing an extra 161 horsepower and 199 pound-feet of torque from its electric motor for a grand total of 950 ponies and 715 pound-feet of torque. This hybrid Ferrari will certainly be less powerful than that, but we don't know exact layout or function of the new system Ferrari is going to use yet. Watch out toward the end of May for this electrified Ferrari to finally make its debut.
The SP275 RW Competizione is the latest one-off from Ferrari

I'd be very happy if I had enough cash to have Ferrari's Special Projects team build me a bespoke variant of any one of its current crop of cars. The group's latest creation, the SP275 RW Competizione you see here, was shown for the first time at the year-ending Finali Mondiali event at Daytona International Speedway. Details are scarce, but the 275SP appears to be based on the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta in either standard or TdF guise. (The F12 TdF debuted at last year's Finali Mondiali.) Based on design elements like the louvers behind the wheels, it seems likely that the new model started as a TdF. That means special touches like a front-mid-mounted 769-horsepower V12 and rear-wheel steering. It also means a 0–60 mph time of 2.9 seconds. It's difficult to say how much the 275SP weighs, though the F12 TdF is about 240 pounds lighter than the standard F12 Berlinetta. Looks are subjective, so you'll have to decide for yourself whether the new styling queues, like a redesigned front fascia, hood, doors, and glass, are an improvement. It's unlikely you'll find this particular shade of gold on another Ferrari. To my eyes, it looks like the Solarbeam Yellow hue that's available on the Mercedes-AMG GT for $9,900. The takeaway should be that if you have the means, Ferrari Special projects will build whatever you want. Look to the F12 TRS or the F12 SP America for more examples. Money may not buy happiness directly, but it will sure as hell buy you a nice Ferrari. Brazilian F1 driver Felipe Massa to retire at end of 2016 season
Thu, Sep 1 2016Williams Formula One driver Felipe Massa announced plans to retire at the end of the 2016 season ahead of the Italian Grand Prix. After 14 years in F1, the 35-year-old Brazilian driver competed in 242 races and won 11 grands prix over his tenure, placing him in the ranks as one of the most experienced drivers in the sport. The last race of the 2016 season in Abu Dhabi will be Massa's 250th race, capping off a career where the Brazilian drove for Sauber, Ferrari, and, most recently, Williams. In an emotional video, which was posted on his Facebook, Massa confirmed that he would be leaving Formula One and provided some insight into his lengthy career. The move to announce his retirement before the Italian Grand Prix was a premeditated decision as it was the same location where Michael Schumacher (who was a large influence on Massa) announced his retirement. Massa also spent numerous years behind the wheel of a Ferrari F1 car and came extremely close to winning the title in 2008 in one. The Italian Grand Prix, then, is the ideal spot for the announcement. Massa's career, which the F1 driver claims has given him "great pride, joy and happiness," started in 2002 with the Swiss-based Sauber team. In his first season, Massa scored four championship points and went on to spend the following season as one of Ferrari's test drivers. For the 2004 season, Massa rejoined Sabuer's lineup alongside Giancarlo Fisichella, where he finished with a total of 12 championship points. The 2005 season was Massa's last with Sauber as the Brazilian was partnered with former champion Jacques Villeneuve, but still managed to score a total of 11 championship points. The 2006 F1 season started the most successful part Massa's career. Massa partnered with the legendary Schumacher, where the Brazilian won his first F1 race in Turkey. Ferrari retained Massa for 2007 to drive with Schumacher's replacement, Kimi Raikkonen, who would go on to win the Driver's Championship by one point. The next year, 2008, was Massa's most memorable with the driver losing out on the championship by a single point to McLaren's Lewis Hamilton. In 2009, Massa was involved in a life-threatening accident in qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix where the driver was struck in the head by a loose spring from Rubens Barrichello's vehicle.
