1986 Ferrari 328 GTS with only 38,800 miles.
She has a recent, engine out ($15,000) service completed by LFSC (LFSC.com) a certified Ferrari dealership located
in Lake Bluff, Illinois, 60044.
Arguably one of Pininfarina’s most elegant designs, the 328 has become an iconic collectible – and quite
affordable. Instantly recognizable as a vintage Ferrari, she is welcome at any car show, Ferrari event, and is a
pure pleasure to drive in fine weather.I purchased the car from Lake Forest Sports Cars a year ago and have only put 100 or so miles on her. Soon after
the purchase, the shifter became stuck in gear, and the good folks at FFSC fixed it immediately and at no cost.
They are the real deal. It is now 100%.
The exterior is in excellent condition with extremely small imperfections. There will always be a minor chip or
scrape it seems. The tires appear new, the brakes work perfectly, and after the obligatory warm up – she shifts
perfectly.
Of course, she sounds amazing.
The engine compartment it very clean and the interior shows very well, devoid of the usual “sticky” surface
problem plaguing other vintage Ferrari’s.
The Air Conditioning works well – but was never a Ferrari strong suit. The steering is crisp and all of the
gauges work perfectly. Lake Forest Sports Car went over the car thoroughly before I acquired it and there is
nothing to note that is wrong with the car.
The original spare, books, jack, etc. are all present.
Now is the time to buy a 328, the market has cooled off a bit and, before it takes off again, this is an affordable
classic Ferrari. The title is clean – and I can take any number of pictures that you might require. Just ask.
Again, I am a collector, have owned 15 or so Ferrari’s and am bullish on 328’s right now. You should be too.
It’s the best Ferrari under $100,000.
When comparing 328’s – or any Ferrari, the records of maintenance are critical. My car has the recent records
from a certified Ferrari dealer – beware of cars without it. You’ll only regret the purchase later. I know,
I’ve been there. Ferrari repairs are not for the faint of heart - so insist on the records and service history.

Ferrari 458 Speciale already sold out for first year

Mon, 09 Dec 2013

Ferrari tends to sell its models out extremely quickly - its wait lists are the stuff of legend. That's especially true when the cars in question are of the fastest or most exclusive variety. If new reports are to be believed, Maranello has already sold the entire 499-unit production run of its new LaFerrari hypercar, and now Australia's Motoring is claiming that Ferrari has also filled its order book for the entire first year's production run of its new 458 Speciale.
For those unfamiliar, the 458 Speciale follows in a proud line of hardcore mid-engined V8 Ferraris in the footsteps of the 360 Challenge Stradale and 430 Scuderia. It's lighter, more powerful and more aerodynamically advanced than the 458 Italia upon which it's based, and just trails half a second behind the more powerful F12 Berlinetta (and the aforementioned LaFerrari) as the third-quickest road car ever to lap the Italian automaker's Fiorano test track. That means it's quicker even than the 599 GTO and Enzo.
Although we've yet to receive official word, we're expecting a sticker price approaching $300,000 - about a quarter more than the 458 Italia. But that doesn't appear to have stopped Ferrari from raking in the orders. Check it out in our substantially updated image gallery above.

Ferrari threatening to fine journalists $69,000 for breaking LaFerrari embargo?

Tue, 22 Apr 2014

In automotive journalism, we deal with embargoes on a regular basis. For the uninitiated, these are agreements between publications like Autoblog and manufacturers. While news embargoes (where pubs are provided with information and images and agree to hold until a predetermined date) are fairly common, today, we're focusing on drive embargoes. These are what we generally end up signing when we attend a vehicle launch. Generally, these are in the media's best interest. As drive programs are spread out over a week or two with multiple different "waves" of media, drive embargoes put the biggest and smallest publications on level footing when it comes to publishing reviews.
According to a report from Autocar's Steve Sutcliffe, Ferrari has taken its drive embargo for the LaFerrari hypercar a bit too far. See, initial reviews from the few publications that attended the drive event for the hybrid-powered monster can hit the newsstand or internet on April 30. Originally, syndicated stories - those sold by freelancers or publications to other outlets - couldn't be published until May 12. These syndicated reviews are big money for larger magazines and, in the case of freelance journalists, are a primary source of revenue. Inexplicably, though, Ferrari has pushed the syndication embargo back to May 26, which is bad news for everyone involved (aside from Ferrari).
This could have been nothing more than an annoyance. The stories would still get sold (although it might be for a bit less coin, considering the initial reviews will be nearly a month old) and you'll still be bombarded by reviews of the LaFerrari not once, but twice, just as Ferrari planned.

Tax The Rich returns with reckless driving in a Ferrari 288 GTO

Thu, 14 Nov 2013

Tax The Rich, the YouTube channel that exists mainly to terrorize ultra-rare, ultra-expensive cars like the Jaguar XJ220, Ferrari Enzo and Rolls-Royce Phantom, has come out with its first video in two months, starring one of the rarest Ferraris of the past 40 years - the 288 GTO.
Now, by Tax The Rich standards, its treatment of the 288 is better than what the Enzo or the Rolls (especially) got in their videos. The most cringe-worthy parts are in the very beginning, before transitioning to actual roads (yes, we know the 288 was originally meant as a Group B rally car, but that makes zipping about on grass and dirt in a very rare Ferrari no less difficult to watch). After that, it's more of the stuff we wish collectors would do with their cars - drive. Seeing and hearing this 288 GTO at full clip is a thing of beauty, and something we wish were a far more regular occurrence.
Take a look below for the latest video from Tax The Rich.
