I am selling my 1985 Ferrari 308QV because my wife is expecting, so I won't have the time or the resources to enjoy
it. I have owned the car for six years and it has been extremely reliable and actually starts more quickly than my
new cars! I have kept the oil changed every year whether it is driven 400 miles or 50 miles and always use either a
UFI or Baldwin B253 filter. The car has never leaked one drop of engine oil on the garage floor and I have never
had to add oil, so it's not burning any in the exhaust. All of the gauges and electronics work on the car and the
ac blows pretty cool by 308 standards. The windows are actually pretty fast too compared to others' experiences I
have read about on the net. The car is a little louder than a normal 308 because the previous owner hollowed out
the factory cat, but I have an aftermarket cat and new Bosch oxygen sensor that I will include with the sale. I
will also include two bottles of Redline 75W-90NS trans fluid, a new Bosch fuel pressure regulator, Fram fuel
filter, and two Baldwin B253 oil filters. I just changed the oil and filter on 12/23/16, so it's good to go in that
respect. The car has the original books and cover (which can be worth $1000 alone these days), a partial tool roll
with jack, and the original spare wheel and tire that still look new. I just put in a new battery connected to a
new battery tender, so you won't have to worry about battery drain; just plug it in and forget about it until your
next drive. The interior is in great shape with no tears in any of the surfaces. The exterior is very good as well,
and while not at a show car level, it wouldn't take much to get it to that point. The car was repainted at some
point so the paint is deep in color and likely 7 or 8 years old. In short, this is a great car, and I wouldn't
hesitate to start it up and drive 70 miles in the middle of the night and have any worries about getting to my
destination. I hate to sell it and already know I will regret it, especially when these cars commonly hit six
figures someday, but I have new priorities so it has to go

Ferrari builds one-off hybrid F12 TRS roadster

When Ferrari makes an open-top version of one of its V12 super-GTs, it typically comes in particularly low production numbers. Maranello only made 448 examples of the 550 Barchetta Pininfarina, 559 of the 575 Superamerica and 599 units of the 599 SA Aperta. What we have here, however, is not just the first F12 roadster we've seen yet, but also the most exclusive.
Called the F12 TRS, it's obviously based on the F12 Berlinetta, but with some key modifications. Not the least of which is the open-top body-style (which may or may not have a folding roof mechanism of some kind), coupled with some unique bodywork like a cowled rear deck and reshaped hood. But the TRS (which we can only assume is some tribute to the 250 Testa Rossa) is also said to pack an F1-derived KERS hybrid assist, presumably similar to the one in the LaFerrari - or more poignantly, in the 599 HY-KERS concept - to give the 6.3-liter V12 even more juice than the prodigious 730 horsepower it produces in stock Berlinetta form.
The vehicle, apparently spotted in the garage at the company's Fiorano test track, appears to be a one-off built by Ferrari's Special Projects division for one discerning and evidently very wealthy customer who is said to have paid $4.2 million for the privilege.

Early Ferrari F40 prototype destroyed in roadside fire

The people behind Tax the Rich have made a name for themselves by doing the sort of things with six and seven-figure supercars that Ken Block does with rally-prepped Subarus and Fords. The group's last video, released just over a year ago, features a rare prototype Ferrari F40. According to Ferrari Chat and IVG.it, another car from that collection is no more, having been reduced to a thin, black crisp. It's a terrible thing to see cars end up in such a state, especially one with such a storied history. It's unclear how the fire started, but old Italian supercars don't exactly have the best reputation for reliability. Hell, even some new Ferraris have had issues with catching fire. This particular F40 is believed to be the sixth prototype ever built by Maranello, going on display at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1987. According to Motor 1, the car was converted to GT spec in 1991 and raced continually over its life. While some rare supercars have been brought back from the brink and fully restored, it's hard to imagine there is any way to salvage what's left. A Facebook video from Patrich Poggi shows a broken, sullen husk, parked on the side of the road and covered in fire retardant. If you didn't already know, it would be difficult to tell what sort of car you'd be looking at. 1954 Ferrari 375 MM Scaglietti Coupe named Best In Show at Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance

For the first time in the event's 64-year history, the prestigious Best In Show honor at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance has been awarded to a Ferrari. The 1954 375 MM Scaglietti Coupe seen here is owned by car collector Jon Shirley of Medina, WA, and as it turns out, has quite a rich history.
Nevermind the fact that it's currently one of five road-going 375 MMs - this example was ordered by film director Roberto Rossellini, and was actually born as a Pininfarina-bodied competition Spyder. Following an accident, the car's original body wasn't able to be saved, but the chassis was sent to Carrozzeria Scaglietti in Modena for replacement, and the finished product became the company's first passenger car design for Ferrari.
Following its tenure with Rossellini, the car was owned by Mario Savona of Palermo, and later Charles Robert of Paris. Years later, the car was restored by its current owner in 1995, after being found in an underground garage in a Paris suburb.
