The 308 was introduced in 1975 as the successor to the 246 Dino. During its production run three different versions of the 308 were offered. The Quattrovalve (QV) model was the final evolution and was introduced in 1983. It features styling revisions, Bosch fuel injection and, as the name would indicate, four valves per cylinder. Easier to own and operate then the early carbureted models and much faster then the two valve injected models; it’s no wonder the Quattrovale 308 is the most sought after. This Ferrari is a good condition driver. The body is straight, no accidents and clean CARFAX. Paint overall is in very good condition. The lower front spoiler has chips as you’d expect for a 70k Ferrari. The interior overall is in very good condition. The dash is straight, no warpage and very minor shrinkage. Both seats are worn but a quick refinish and this interior will be in excellent shape. The Targa top is in very good condition. As with all the cars we offer, this Ferrari has been inspected by our service partner Salerno Motorsports. Mechanically this 308 is well sorted and runs strong. Recent receipts for nearly $10k in mechanical work. That work includes a belt service in July 2010 at 73,518 miles and a clutch in July 2011 at 74,552 miles. Fiat gives outgoing Ferrari chairman $35M severance package
Thu, 11 Sep 2014Luca di Montezemolo may not have wanted to leave Ferrari this way, but don't feel too bad for the departing chairman, because he'll be hitting the ground with a golden parachute so big that he'll never have to work again.
According to the latest reports, Fiat will pay Montezemolo 26.95 million euros (nearly $35 million) in severance pay. A little more than half of that will be paid in a lump sum of 13.71 million euros ($17.7M, equivalent to five times his annual salary) on January 31, 2015, with the rest to be paid within the next 20 years.
The payment is contingent on Montezemolo not going to work for a competitor, so don't expect to see him replacing Stephan Winkelmann at Lamborghini or Wolfgang Dürheimer at Bugatti any time soon. At least not until March 2017. Of course with that much cash on hand, the 67-year-old marquis need never work again, but considering how busy he's used to keeping himself, we'd be surprised if he didn't pop up again somewhere.
Electro super star Deadmau5 selling kitty-themed Ferrari 458
Thu, 19 Jun 2014Are you a huge fan a electronic dance music, Internet memes, and in the market for a customized Ferrari? Then today is your lucky day. EDM star Deadmau5, real name Joel Zimmerman, is selling his Ferrari 458 Spider on Craigslist. He calls it the Purrari, and it features a full-body wrap of the eight-bit Nyan Cat, pink brake calipers, prancing cat logos, a Purrari emblem 6,500 miles on the odometer. It's currently located in Toronto, Canada, with an asking price of $380,000. Any amount offered over that is being donated to the Toronto Humane Society.
In addition to the car, the buyer gets an iPod full of "nyancat songs" and a meeting with Zimmerman to say goodbye to his Purrari over a cup of coffee. If you're not in the Toronto area, he is willing to ship the feline automobile anywhere in North America. Obviously, a blue, cat-themed Ferrari isn't to everyone's taste, so Zimmerman can remove the wrap at the buyer's request... though he won't be happy about it.
If you're curious why Zimmerman would sell such a personalized item, it appears a new supercar has his eye now. On May 28, he tweeted about driving a McLaren 650S and announced the Purrari would go up for sale soon. We can only imagine what theme his next ride gets.
LaFerrari, McLaren P1, Porsche 918 and Agera R take to Assen

The battle of the hybrid hypercars from the performance powerhouses of Europe: Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder. No one publication has managed to get their hands on all three just yet, but this video has - and with a Koenigsegg Agera R thrown in for good measure.
The video was shot by our (unrelated) Dutch compatriots at Autoblog.nl at the TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands. The track has played host to Champ Cars and all manner of racing bikes, but this could be the ultimate grid of actual production machinery that's ever lined up behind its start/finish line. Shame the weather was rainy and this unsurpassed array of supercars weren't really racing - more showing off for the crowds. But what a show it was. Scope out the footage in the video below.
