I'm selling my 2006 Dodge Viper. Copperhead Orange Satin Coat - no stripes - H-Spoke Wheels. 1 of 51. Search Google for "Copperhead Coupe Registry" for a listing of the 51 cars that Dodge made in this color. Only about 47 of them remain left. This is a very rare color and you most likely will not see another one around like it.

The Viper has ~30,515 miles (may vary "slightly" for mileage driven while showing car) and Chrysler Extended Warranty. Due to age and wear on tires (Viper Spec PS2's), I'd recommend replacing all (4). A set of Michelin Super Sports will run you in the $1400 range shipped. I replaced the original run flats with the currently installed set of PS2s at 14,407 miles.

Chrysler Service Contract is Plan Option MD750N - Form Num NMAX336 from 10/30/2007 to 10/30/2014 and 50,000 miles. 7/50 Maximum Care - Expires 10/30/2014 or 50,000 miles. Plan is transferable to 1 subsequent owner for a fee of $50.00 unless you are in New Hampshire which states there is no transfer fee. Transfer has to be made at time of sale.

Car was built in April 2006 and purchased by myself new in October 2007.

Original Window Sticker was $83,145 Base Price and $600.00 for Copperhead Orange Satin Coat Exterior Paint, $700.00 for 18X10.0" Front, 19X13.0" Rear Polished Alum Wheels (H-Spoke), $3,000.00 GGT and $850.00 Destination Charge. Total Window Sticker price was $88,295.00

I'm also including all Chrysler and dealership letters received during ownership of car as well as 2006 Viper specific magazines, VCA Mags and Correspondence and other materials I received during my ownership of the Viper.

I currently have a purchase offer from a local dealer and it may end up going to them if not sold here.  Please ask any and all questions before purchasing or making an offer.  I have tons of info about the car.

Full payment must be received within 24 hours of purchase or offer acceptance.  I recommend coming to see the car in person or having a buyer's agent make arrangements to look at the car prior to purchase.  I reserve the right to cancel the transaction at any time prior to deposit of payment funds.  Car will not be available for pickup until payment funds have fully cleared and verified by my bank (Wells Fargo)

Fiat/PSA's dominance in small vans hangs up EU's merger approval

Mon, Jun 8 2020

BRUSSELS — EU antitrust regulators are concerned about Fiat Chrysler and Peugeot / PSA's combined high market share in small vans and may require concessions to clear their $50 billion merger, people familiar with the matter said. The companies, which are seeking to create the world's fourth biggest carmaker, were told of the European Commission's concerns last week. If Fiat and PSA fail to dispel the European Commission's doubts in the next two days and subsequently decline to offer concessions by Wednesday, the deadline for doing so, the deal would face a four-month-long investigation. The EU competition enforcer, which has set a June 17 deadline for its preliminary review, declined to comment. Fiat was not immediately available for comment while PSA had no immediate comment. Hiving off overlapping businesses, usually a regulatory demand to ensure more competition, could prove tricky for the carmakers because of the technicalities. Fiat and PSA are looking to merge to help offset slowing demand and shoulder the cost of making cleaner vehicles to meet tougher emissions regulations. The deal puts under one roof the Italian carmaker's brands such as Fiat, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Maserati and the French company's Peugeot, Opel and DS. Dodge Viper saved from crusher by students, but will it last?

Tue, 16 Sep 2014

The saga of the Washington state community college hoping to keep its allegedly pre-production Dodge Viper out of the maw of the crusher is going strong. Not only does the school still have the car, but there's a chance that the college might even get to keep it.
The whole situation flared up in March when the South Puget Sound Community College in Olympia, WA, received a notice from Chrysler Group that requested that the school's Viper be destroyed. The automaker had loaned the muscle car to it about a decade ago to use for educational purposes in its auto tech classes. With the Dodge growing long in the tooth, "it is unlikely that these vehicles offer any educational value to students," the company said in its press release on the matter.
However, the college balked at destroying its Viper, despite the fact it had signed a contract with Chrysler Group to do so. The school further claimed that its car was incredibly special because it was a pre-production example and just the fourth one made back in 1992. Although, as we pointed out at the time, the photos of the school's vehicle showed a coupe that looked like a newer Viper GTS.

Continental Automotive recalls 5 million airbag control units

Thu, Feb 4 2016

Takata isn't the only supplier having airbag problems. Rival manufacturer Continental Automotive Systems announced a recall of 5 million airbag control units fitted to vehicles from Honda, Fiat Chrysler Automotive, Mercedes-Benz, and even a certain Chrysler-based Volkswagen. This sweeping recall has actually been in progress for some time, although the exact scope is only now becoming evident. In October of 2015, Mercedes-Benz recalled 2008 and 2009 model year C- and GLK-Class vehicles because their Continental-made airbag control units could corrode. Such a condition could cause the airbags to deploy without cause or warning, or in the event of a crash, not deploy at all. You can read all about it in our post from last year. Now, Continental's recall is going wide. Alongside the already recalled C and GLK, you've already heard about the 2008 and 2009 Honda Accord airbag recall, which we reported on yesterday. Now, Fiat Chrysler is announcing the recall of the 2009 Dodge Journey, as well as the 2008 and 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan, Chrysler Town and Country, and their rebadged counterpart, the Volkswagen Routan. Yes, one manufacturer is recalling another manufacturer's vehicle. The models listed above only amount to about 580,000 vehicles out of 5 million bad airbag control units. And since Continental will notify manufacturers who will then issue their own recalls, it's extremely likely that more brands and vehicles will be ensnared. Stay tuned.
