Up for sale today is a one of a kind Dodge Stratus SXT unlike any you will find used. I am selling my Dodge Stratus SXT that had a 2008 Avenger 2.7L V6 professionally installed by reputable shop. It is 100% mechanically flawless, and has a new 14k Mile Avenger engine in it. I am the second owner of this 2006 Stratus, and it comes FULLY loaded with Traction Control, smooth as butter automatic transmission, and every power option you could want. Including 4 Wheel Anti Lock Brakes, Power Door Locks, Windows, and Mirrors, Cruise Control, Factory CD Changer & Premium Sound, plus much more!

I bought this vehicle from the dealer in 2009 with 43k Miles on it. I heard all the horror stories about the 2.7L engine they put in these cars, but it lasted me all the way until June of 2013. I talked to a shop that explained the benefits of the 2.7L V6 they used in the new Dodge Avengers, a nearly bulletproof engine that I found with 14k miles for only $2,000. As I was planning on keeping the car quite a few more years (it is truly flawless,) I decided to have the shop install it, and fix any other problems it had, such as brakes and suspension, axle shafts, and a catalytic converter. They charged $2566 total to make it like a new car, plus the $2,000 engine I bought.

I scanned a copy of the engine replacement receipts at the bottom, as well as the carfax. The body of the car currently has 97,000 well cared for miles on it now, and with the new engine, it sounds and runs like a brand new car. The transmission shifts as smooth as butter, and all the electronic options work properly.

The body of the car looks great for its age as you can see from the pictures. The interior is very nice and extremely clean as well, and all electronic options work and there are no trouble lights on the dash. The car runs and drives great in the city and on the highway with NO ISSUES we could find. Just passed eCheck last week. The only imperfection is a small rust bubble on the hood as you can see. 2 weeks ago, the front lower control arms, bushings, tie rods, and wheel bearings were replaced as well.

This is probably the most well maintained and ONLY Dodge Strauts you will find with the upgraded 2.7L Avenger engine. If you love the looks and reliability of a Stratus and want a brand new bulletproof motor, I highly doubt you'll ever find a used car as nice as this. I promise in this price range, you will not find a car with only 14k miles that will last another 10+ years. Please do not contact me unless you have the funds available and are looking to buy. My number is 614-522-9626.

I would trust this car to drive across the country with NO ISSUES. I also work for a business that owns a vehicle transporter broker program, and can ship the vehicle anywhere in the United States for a few cents a mile if you'd like it shipped. Contact me for a rate, and check my feedback! I've sold a few of my previous cars on eBay, and everyone has been flawless with not a single issue.

Here are some more additional larger pictures, clear carfax, and receipts:

Junkyard Gem: 1977 Dodge Colt Mileage Maker Coupe

Sat, Dec 11 2021

While Ford and GM each had the resources to develop their own Michigan-designed subcompacts for the dawn of the 1970s— the Pinto and Vega, respectively— Chrysler couldn't afford the huge price tag for such a project. Instead, Chrysler's European operations were tapped for a couple of models that sold well enough on the other side of the Atlantic, giving us the Plymouth Cricket (known as the Hillman Avenger in the UK) and the Simca 1204 (aka the Simca 1100 in France). American car shoppers gave those two models the cold shoulder, but then Chrysler found genuine sales success by making a deal with Mitsubishi to sell the Colt Galant with left-hand drive. This became the Dodge Colt, with sales beginning in the 1971 model year. Though the 1971-1978 rear-wheel-drive Colts were once as commonplace as Corollas or B210s on American roads, they have all but disappeared today. That makes today's Junkyard Find, discovered in a Denver-area yard last week, particularly interesting. This car shows signs of having been in the hands of a speed-crazed enthusiast owner, including an aftermarket steering wheel and one-piece racing seats with slots for five-point harnesses. The primer-gray paint is another clue. The rear-wheel-drive Colts were reasonably quick for their time, and they could be made genuinely quick with basic engine upgrades. This Mitsubishi Saturn four-banger has a tube header, hot-rod ignition system, and a two-barrel (Mikuni-made) Solex carburetor. We can assume there's probably some kind of cam upgrade under the valve cover, too. The shifter is gone, but the original transmission in this car was either the base four-speed or optional five-speed manual. A three-speed automatic was available for $270 (about $1,275 today). Later on, front-wheel-drive Colts (and Mitsubishi Mirages) could be bought with the Twin-Stick overdrive rig, which gave drivers eight forward speeds and the opportunity to make Twin-Stick beer taps. The 1977-1978 Dodge Colt two- and four-door sedans were based on the Mitsubishi Lancer and were a bit smaller than the 1971-1977 cars, while the wagon version moved to the Galant Sigma platform. The build tag shows that this car started life as the cheapest 1977 Colt model, the "Mileage Maker" two-door sedan (Dodge dealers called it a coupe, so that's what I'm calling it in the title).

Will Dodge limit 2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat to 1,200 units?

Sun, 20 Jul 2014

With over 700 horsepower on tap and a price tag barely over $60k, Dodge appears on paper to have a winner on its hands with the new Challenger SRT Hellcat. But if you want to get your hands on one, you may have to act quicker than this most powerful of muscle cars covers the quarter-mile.
That's because, according to our compatriots over at Edmunds, Dodge may limit production - in the first year, at least - to just 1,200 units. That would amount to barely a quarter of the Challengers that Dodge moves each month, and would also mean only one Hellcat for every two Dodge dealers in the US - which could lead to some serious contention over which stores and which customers can get their hands on the ultimate Challenger.
Reached for comment, SRT spokesman Dan Reid told Autoblog that "there is no plan to limit production of the Challenger Hellcat," echoing the words of Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis who told Edmunds: "We don't know what the market demand is." Which doesn't mean that it won't restrict production, but doesn't mean that it will, either. It just hasn't decided yet - or announced any such decision, at any rate - over what will be the final allocation strategy for what could be a game-changing muscle car. That is, at least, until new versions of the Mustang and Camaro come along in pursuit of Dodge's bragging rights...

Fiat Chrysler and the UAW reach tentative labor deal

Sat, Nov 30 2019

DETROIT — Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and the United Auto Workers (UAW) union on Saturday announced a tentative agreement for a four-year labor contract, a boost for the automaker as it works to merge with France's Groupe PSA. Italian-American Fiat Chrysler and PSA, the maker of Peugeot and Citroen, last month announced a planned $50 billion merger to create the world's fourth-largest automaker. The tentative agreement with Fiat Chrysler, which is subject to ratification by the union members, follows contracts that the UAW already concluded with Ford Motor Co and General Motors Co. The deal with GM followed a 40-day strike in the United States that virtually shuttered GM's North American operations and cost the automaker $3 billion. The UAW on Saturday said the contract with Fiat Chrysler included a commitment from FCA to invest $9 billion, creating 7,900 new jobs over the course of the four-year contract. Of the $9 billion, $4.5 billion was announced earlier this year, to be invested in five plants and creating 6,500 jobs. Detailed terms of the tentative agreement were not released, but they are expected to echo those under the new contracts with GM and Ford, as the UAW typically uses the first deal as a pattern for the others. "FCA has been a great American success story thanks to the hard work of our members," UAW acting President Rory Gamble said in a statement. "We have achieved substantial gains and job security provisions for the fastest growing auto company in the United States." Ratification is not a sure thing. Rank-and-file UAW members at FCA in 2015 rejected the first version of a contract. In addition, a lawsuit related to a federal corruption probe could also raise doubts among union members about the terms agreed. The federal corruption led GM to file a racketeering lawsuit against FCA, alleging that its rival bribed union officials over many years to corrupt the bargaining process and gain advantages, costing GM billions of dollars. FCA has brushed off the lawsuit as groundless. Under the UAW's deal with GM, the automaker agreed to invest $9 billion in the United States, including $7.7 billion directly in its plants, and to create or retain 9,000 UAW jobs. Ford's contract included commitments to invest more than $6 billion in its U.S. plants and to create or retain more than 8,500 UAW jobs. The deals with GM and Ford also created a pathway to full-time employment for temporary workers and left healthcare insurance coverage unchanged.
