2008 Freightliner Sprinter 2500 CRD 170"wb high top long wheelbase. 1 Owner. Clean carfax. It has 232K miles, mostly highway miles. Sprinter runs and drives great with strong powerful 3.0l turbo diesel Mercedes engine. Automatic transmission with steptronic shifts smoothly. Engine is running no fault lights. The brakes feel good and stop straidht., cold Ac, new oil , tire have over 80% tread left. Well maintained . Tthe exterior is very nice, considering the age and milage with a few very minor blemishes, dents and minor corrosion spots. The interior very nice and clean , cargo area is clean. This is great cargo van to earn money for long deliveres or couriers, cargo area very spacious fits 3 pallets easily. Sprinter is in very good condition . This is very dependable cargo van . Chrysler recalls small number of 2013-2014 cars and trucks over engine debris
Thu, 12 Dec 2013Chrysler is recalling a small number cars over issues with their 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. The recall, which affects 522 examples of its 2013 Dodge Avenger and Chrysler 200 models, as well as 2014 Jeep Compass and Patriot CUVs has to do with potential debris in the balance shaft bearings.
The abrasive stuff can cause the oil pressure to drop, which could lead to the engine stalling or outright failure. This situation could at best leave drivers stranded and at worst lead to a crash.
Chrysler will begin notifying owners, who will need to report in to have the balance shaft module replaced. All repairs are naturally free of charge. Scroll down for the bulletin from NHTSA.
Toyota, Lexus dominate KBB's Best Resale Value Awards
Tue, 19 Nov 2013Toyota and Lexus stormed the 2014 Kelley Blue Book Best Resale Value Awards, winning a combined 18 categories including best brand and best luxury brand. This marks the third year in a row that both automakers have won the Brand and Luxury Brand resale value awards. In all, Toyota won 11 categories and Lexus won seven.
Honda made a good showing, as well, winning two segments (Accord Plug-In Hybrid and Civic Si) and putting one car on the top-10 Best Resale Value list (CR-V). Chevrolet did even better, winning two segments (with the V6 Camaro and the Corvette) and placing three cars on the top-10-overall list (again, the Camaro and Corvette, plus the Silverado 1500).
The other winners came from Jeep, Dodge, Infiniti, Subaru and Audi. To give you a clearer picture of the Toyota and Lexus domination, their 18 mentions represents more than half of the 34 awards (including the top-10-overall list).
Chrysler set to make $266M-investment into 8-speed transmission production
Wed, Dec 10 2014Chrysler will shortly make a significant $266-million investment into its Kokomo, IN transmission factory in a bid to expand production of its eight-speed automatic transmissions. The gearboxes, which are built under license from Germany's ZF Friedrichshafen, have been well received by customers and critics, and according to an SEC filing obtained by Automotive News, the transmissions will eventually find their way to all of Chrysler's rear-drive offerings (Viper and heavy-duty Ram models, aside). According to AN, a Chrysler spokesman says the investment has not been confirmed, but once it is, it'll mark the company's latest in a growing line of investments at the facility. Chrysler has poured $1.5 billion into Kokomo since 2009.
