Description:
Look! Up for sale a 2006 Dodge Frieghtliner Sprinter 2500. The engine is a 2.7 5 cylinder turbo diesel. Long body and high ceiling. Starts right up, the oil has been changed. All the fluids were checked and topped off as needed. The transmission shifts smooth and runs quiet without problems. No noises in the suspension and it feels strong. The odometer shows 90k miles, but the true mileage is unknown, the odometer was broken for a certain amount of time while in previous owner's possession. It doesn't look like there is a lot of mileage missing. The Air Conditioner works fine. All the lights work. It has a Am/FM/Cassette player. It has Cruise control, power windows and power door locks. The body is short and the ceiling is high. There is an additional heater in the cargo area. All tires are at about 80% thread. The front left is a little less. The rear tires are winter threaded. The breaks are still good and won't need replacement any time soon. The body doesn't have any scratches. The interior is in good shape with no rips. The under body doesn't have any rust. The interior has a few minor rips, but nothing to be concerned about. The am/fm/casette player works and the paneling has virtually no scratches. The ash tray and the cigarette lighter work.

New Viper 'is a possibility,' Sergio Marchionne says

It was thought the door to the future for the Dodge Viper had closed last year, but Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne reopened it during his press conference at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show. Marchionne said the current Viper is the only FCA product to use the ZD platform, which "doesn't make sense to me." Yet, "given the architectural development within the brand, there is a possibility that a new version of the Viper may surface." Automobile reports that the company uses a versatile, rear- and all-wheel drive Giorgio platform for Alfa Romeo and Dodge. It will support the Alfa Romeo Giulia (Alfa Romeo's larger BMW 5 Series competitor), the next-generation Dodge Challenger, Charger, and rumored Barracuda, and it could support a new generation of Viper. We're probably talking about a different kind of Viper, though, with Automobile saying, "the current car's truck-based V-10 no doubt would be scrapped along with its platform." A Viper without a V10 doesn't seem like a Viper to us, but we'll wait to see what happens. In the midst of contract negotiations for a new labor agreement between FCA and the United Auto Workers last year, it emerged that the Conner Avenue Assembly plant that builds the Viper hadn't been given any new product after the end of Viper build-out in 2017. That led most to reason that the current Viper would be the end of the 25-year run of America's hairiest sports car. How long we'll be waiting is unknown. Marchionne had no timetable and admitted that a future Viper might not appear on the heels of the current one. With a renewed commitment to being debt-free by 2018, FCA is likely more focused on getting Alfa Romeo running properly and cranking out the volume variants for the Giorgio platform first. Chrysler recalling 280k Dodge Ram 1500 pickups over axle seizures

Following a June investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will be recalling 280,000 Dodge Ram pickups from model year 2005. The issue, NHTSA told The Detroit News, centered on a loose pinion nut, which could cause the rear axle to seize and, potentially, the driveshaft to detach. The affected vehicles were built between January of 2004 and August of 2005, while of the 280,000 trucks, only 257,000 were sold in the US market. According to The News, the recall will begin on February 13, and will see owners report to dealerships to have "a retention feature" added to the pinion nut.
