2003 DODGE-FREIGHTLINER SPRINTER

PREVIOUS FEDEX TRUCK

348,587 MILES

KEYLESS ENTRY

2 KEY FOBS

COLD AC

This van has a newer Jasper transmission.  I called the Jasper company and they was able to tell me that the new transmission was installed in December 2007.  The van shifts through all the gears nice and smooth as it should.  Buying this Sprinter van gets you a newer transmission without the worries.

Here is a great Sprinter van that's ready to go to work. The van just came out of a FEDEX fleet. The van has been well maintained. The van starts right up and idles smooth. The motor is strong and the turbo puts out tons of power. The motor runs strong down the road and the transmission shifts smooth as it should.  I just drove this van 3 hours on the high way at 65mph and it ran great with no problems. The AC blew cold all the way home.  The van ran smooth down the road. It drives straight down the road and stops in a straight line as well with no shaking, pulling or shimmy. The brakes are in great working order. There are no service lights on or indicator lights on in the dash(as in service engine soon type lights) no service is required for this van. The van needs nothing and is ready to go to work.

The exterior is in great shape for the year. There are a few scratches and rock chips as to be expected but overall its in good shape. The paint has a nice bright shine to it.  Please look at all the pictures of the van. The interior is in good shape as to be expected and as shown in the pictures. The cargo are has shelves that fold up and the floor is Rino lined. There are also lights in the cargo area.

This van is a super long and super tall Sprinter van. This van is for sale locally as well.

I also have another 2003 FED EX Sprinter van with 354k miles and is in the same condition as this one.  So if you need 2 Sprinter vans give me a call and get a cash deal on both.

If you have any questions please give me a call 309-333-6796(Tom).

If you would like to ride the Amtrak to Macomb, IL and drive the Sprinter home, I can pick you up at the train station.  Please give me a call before you buy your tickets 309-333-6796(Tom).

This van is being sold through a dealer. All Illinois residents tax, title and plate fees apply. Out of state residents there are NO other fees just the purchase price of the van.

2015 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack

Fri, 24 Oct 2014

We all knew That Kid. As a freshman, he was a big kid, overweight but surprisingly strong. Still, he was often picked on for his size. Then, he chatted with the football coach, who convinced him that his true calling was on the team's offensive line. After a season on the freshman squad and a summer of two-a-days, this mild-mannered, husky high schooler returned for his sophomore year as a big, imposing, solid piece of muscle. Needless to say, the same bullies that picked on him were praying he'd forgotten about them as a 10th grader.
That's the V8-powered 2015 Dodge Challenger. It arrived on the scene with a max of 425 horsepower and a bit of a weight problem. It completed its proverbial freshman year with a nice 2011 refresh, where the SRT8 was bumped up to 470 hp, but it still had some work to do.
Enter 2015, and fresh off three months of constant burpees and wind sprints, the newest Challenger is as big and powerful as it's ever been, but it's now got poise and potential, and my goodness, it's fun in a way that Dodge's muscle car has never been.

Only in Japan: Dodge van one-make racing series is a thing

Wed, Jul 15 2015

Japan seems willing to embrace a level of automotive insanity that many other places lack. Whether it's 1,200-horsepower Nissan GT-Rs blasting through tight, tree-lined mountain roads or advertisements with dances for the Toyota Prius Plug-in, the country definitely has a unique way of expressing a love for autos. The D-Van Grand Prix might be one of our favorite examples yet of crazy Japanese car culture, because the annual, one-make race at the Ebisu Circuit is exclusively for heavily customized Dodge vans. Like many great things, this wonderfully crazy idea came from a little rule breaking. D-Van Grand Prix organizer Takuro Abe was at a track event for a motorcycle racing school, and vans were used to haul the bikes around. During lunch someone came up with the idea for a race. Ignoring that the big machines weren't actually allowed on the circuit, the drivers headed out. The popularity has just grown since then. These days, the racing vans absolutely aren't the stock machines from the event's inspiration. In addition to stripped interiors and track rubber that you might expect, the list of mods for them is a mile long. For every possible advantage, the racers fit them with things like Brembo brakes, cross-drilled rotors, heavy-duty transmissions, and much more. Seeing vans lumbering around the track is very weird at first, but the racers take the competition very seriously. These folks even employ all sorts of little tricks to coax the most from the machines. This is a fascinating motorsports story, but be sure to turn on the subtitles to understand the interviews with the competitors.

Dodge's divisive splitter guards are now pink and might become black

Fri, Jan 17 2020

There is an infinite amount of real problems out there in the world, but for some reason, one of the most dividing issues in the car community relates to a piece of protective plastic on cars. Yes, splitter guards. Since the plastic parts were introduced to SRT variants of the Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger for 2015, the enthusiast community has been split like a '63 'Vette on the merits and aesthetics of not removing them. Originally, the protectors, which are there to protect the splitter while the car is in transit to dealers, were yellow, which contributed to their popularity. But Dodge has now shifted that color to pink, as Car & Driver reported and Autoblog confirmed.  On one side, upset purists beg they be removed from the cars. They were only put on to protect the vehicles' lower front fascias during shipping and handling, and if left on too long, they will collect dirt and grit and damage the new paint. SRT lead designer Mark Trostle is included in this camp and is quoted saying, "I wish they would take them off." On the other side, there are people who enjoy the contrasting look and see it as a way to stand out or be different.  "Yes, they are designed to be removed before delivery," said Tim Kuniskis, global head of Alfa Romeo and head of passenger cars for Dodge, SRT, Chrysler, FIAT, FCA for North America, in an email to Autoblog. "But today, they have their own Facebook page, and many of our performance enthusiasts have active debates on whether to keep or remove them. Some owners say they are even selling them in the aftermarket!"  The Facebook page he speaks of is called "Hey Pal, You Forgot To Take Your Splitter Guards Off." The private group was started on April 11, 2019, and as of this writing, it is 11,855 members strong. With FCA recently changing the guards to pink, that number will likely continue to grow. "Obviously, they weren't part of the original design," Kuniskis said. "We started with yellow guards and shifted to pink, but they are still so popular that we may shift them yet again to black. Wherever we land, this is another example of how our customers are passionate about every part of their Dodge muscle cars — from the high-horsepower engines that power Charger and Challenger to the splitter guards designed to protect them, so we expect the conversation to continue."  Yellow, pink, black, purple, rainbow, whatever. People will like what they like and hate what they hate. Just do you, and keep the negativity away.
