Rare 1983 Dodge Miser B-250 Van....225 slant six with factory 4 speed manual transmission...(3 speed with overdrive).....These Miser vans and trucks were produced to get good MPGS.......The 225 runs excellent no noise....no smoke......The transmission shifts great through all 4 gears......probably would need a clutch soon if you were going to use it as a daily driver....and the linkage could probably use new bushings....shifts great but a little loose.

This van would make an awesome parts hauler....hippie van...or Rat Van......it is very solid van....there is rust on one small section on each side and one section of the gutter.....no rust anywhere else and very very clean and solid underneath......everything works except the gas gauge.
The van has 4 new Goodyear Tires..less then 200 miles on them.
I took the van on a 60 mile trip a few weeks ago....it did just fine.
The van does need a new powersteering hose......I had to add fluid the last time I drove it..(it leaks).
This is a very neat van ...and its fun to drive with the 4 speed....it does have faded paint and a few dents a couple of rust spots....but overall....Very Solid.
You would Probably have no problems driving this van home.
I would deduct $200.00 off the buy it now price if you brought your own tires and wheels.
This is a basic van.....never had a radio or air.....very simple and easy to work on.
$300.00 non refundable deposit.....please ask questions....You will get honest answers.
The rust you see in the pictures is the only rust....this is a very solid van....no rust underneath it.(no surprises).
I will be out of town from June 19th thru the 23rd...pickup would have to be before or after that date ...if you need my help.
Will accept PayPal for the entire amount if YOU PAY the FEES.
   Thanks, for looking!
Im not sure of the mileage.....but its solid and runs great.....think its showing a little over 100k

Subaru Legacy pitted against Roadkill project cars

Fri, 05 Sep 2014

There's an evergreen debate among auto enthusiasts about whether they would prefer to have the latest and greatest car of today or a certified classic from yesteryear. What if you had to further define that, though, and the choice was between a brand new 2015 Subaru Legacy or a turbocharged Datsun 240Z with a hatch that wouldn't close? Roadkill aimed to find out that and more in one of its best videos to date.
According to the hosts, Subaru came to them, handed over some money and challenged Roadkill's project cars against its latest Legacy. The result is every bit as good (or better) than any automotive-themed show you could find on television.
Things start simple with a figure-eight race in a rodeo arena with the Subaru taking on Roadkill's 1968 Ford Ranchero, originally built for ice racing. From there the Legacy races a 1968 Dodge Charger with no windows around and off-road rally stage. Finally, the Subie goes head-to-head against the Rotsun, the aforementioned turbocharged 240Z, through an abandoned neighborhood. Plus, there's a bonus drag race challenging them all.

2003-04 Dodge Viper recalled for sudden airbag deployment

Fri, 15 Feb 2013

As if driving the old Dodge Viper (not the fancy new SRT model) isn't intimidating enough, imagine trying to wrangle that V10 beast and then suddenly having the airbags deploy. Yikes. That's apparently what could happen to some 3,660 Viper models from the 2003 and 2004 model years, and as such, Chrysler has issued a recall.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, part of the car's airbag control module may fail, causing the bags or seatbelt pre-tensioners to deploy without warning while the vehicle is in operation. That's a dangerous scenario in any car, let alone one offering insane horsepower a near-total paucity of safety nannies should things get squirrely.
Owners will be notified this month about the recall, though a remedy is not expected to be available until later this year. Scroll down for the full NHTSA statement.

Chrysler minivans under investigation for stalling after fuel refill

Wed, 10 Sep 2014

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, at least one man has reported that his 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan stalled unexpectedly on the highway shortly after being refueled. The unidentified man who contacted NHTSA regarding the issue cited as many as eight similar instances reported by other drivers.
NHTSA has announced that it will launch an inquiry into this issue, which could affect as many as 160,000 minivans from Dodge and Chrysler that were sold in 2007 (or more, if a problem is found that extends to additional models years, we'd assume). As of yet, there's no formal investigation, let alone a recall, on these vans, as the agency is merely determining if further action is needed.
Two months ago, Chrysler recalled nearly 700,000 vehicles, the majority of which were minivans, from the 2008-2010 model years to replace ignition switches after an investigation found that their weak springs and detent positions could fool a driver into thinking the car was in the "Run" position, when it's actually in the "Accessory" position.
