2007 Dodge Ram

-5.9L Cummins engine
-Automatic transmission
-4x4
-Crew Cab

This truck runs and drives well. Although it has high mileage, the engine sounds very good with no blow by. The turbo also spools up very nicely.
4x4 functions well. The transmission is good and has good fluid condition and level. On rare instances, while cruising at a very specific speed around 25MPH, it will down shift on its own. It does not slip. This is something that many will not even notice, but I would like to mention it. It only does this while cruising at the same speed around 25mph. I have been daily driving the truck, and it has not done it for a few days now. I almost feel as though it is not worth mentioning.
The interior is in nice shape all around. Everything works as it should.
The AC is currently not blowing cold. We recently replaced the accumulator and orifice tube. The mechanic must have installed them incorrectly because there is a small leak in the system now. We may get this repaired. If so, I will update this listing.

There are a few dents, scratches and scuffs on the truck. Nothing serious. One of the rear wheels is small than the rest, but you dont feel any difference while driving (265 compared to 275). The windshield is cracked as well. We have priced this truck way below KBB to compensate for the truck's defects. You wont find another truck like this anywhere near the price.

Overall, this truck is very nice. Runs and drives well and is very reliable and smooth. I wouldnt hesitate to drive it anywhere. If you have any questions, please call or text 816-419-8233
I also have it for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.

Dodge CEO and Gas Monkey Garage dissect the 10-second Challenger Hellcat

Fri, 11 Jul 2014

So far, whenever we've seen the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT with its 707-horsepower, supercharged Hellcat V8, the muscle car has been smoking its tires. Dodge is finally proving that the SRT can do more than ruin perfectly good sets of rubber, though. In it's latest video, company CEO Tim Kuniskis hands the Hellcat off to the guys from Gas Monkey Garage to show how quickly the automaker's most powerful model can make it down the drag strip.
Of course, the only fitting contender to race against Dodge's latest top muscle car is its grandpa - a Hemi-powered 1971 Challenger, in this case. Before getting to the main event, the hosts also show off some of the SRT's unique features like the blanks in the grille that feed the intercoolers. We'll go ahead and spoil that the Hellcat makes its pass in the 10-second range, and the video admits the tires on the production version would take just a touch longer to cover the quarter-mile. However, you have to watch film to see just how quick it actually goes. Scroll down to see a classic example of American muscle drag racing against its modern legacy.

Thieves still love older Hondas and pickups most, says NICB [w/video]

Wed, 20 Aug 2014

No one wants to have their car stolen, but a new study by the National Insurance Crime Bureau has some bad news for older Honda owners and pickup drivers. Fortunately, it has better news for drivers overall. The group is reporting that according to preliminary data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, thefts were down 3.2 percent in 2013 (versus 2012) to fewer than 700,000 cars. That's the lowest figure since 1967. That's also less than half of the peak of over 1.66 million thefts in 1991. "The drop in thefts is good news for all of us," says NICB President and CEO Joe Wehrle. "But it still amounts to a vehicle being stolen every 45 seconds and losses of over $4 billion a year."
Honda drivers might not find it such good news with older Accord and Civic models topping this year's theft study. Toyota and Dodge can't really celebrate, either, with two models each on the list, as well. Overall, this year's list was split evenly between foreign and domestic models, which were mostly pickups.
The 10 most likely vehicles to be stolen in 2013 were:

Camel-power and Challengers | Autoblog Podcast #510

Fri, Mar 31 2017

On this week's podcast, Mike Austin and David Gluckman are in a huddle room, because the studio was already taken. We talk about the Dodge Challenger GT all-wheel-drive and who would want one. (And a correction we'll mention in next week's podcast - the trunk lid on the Challenger does wrap around vertically for a decent-sized opening.) Then David has a new performance metric to introduce, proposed by Nissan. The episode wraps up with the traditional doling out of Spend My Money buying advice, with an update on the feasibility of the one-year Ferrari financial plan. The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want buying advice of your very own, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com. (If you record audio of a question with your phone and get it to us, you could hear your very own voice on the podcast. Neat, right?) And if you have other questions or comments, please send those too.
