2006 Ram 3500 4x4 Diesel Specialized owner operator Cummins 3500 dump truck. This truck will impress any new owner along with those who see it on the road. While owning this truck it has not seen snow except for a brief moment on one of our passes. It has had regular maintenance done and has had Synthetic Schaeffers oil in all lubricating points. The truck was used for my landscape business and the only reason for selling is to get into a larger truck. This truck was rare due to its low mileage motor and the quad cab with the Goodwin dump body installed. I wanted something I could use as a daily driver to pick up the kids while on my way home from a job. This truck was never overworked by any means as it towed a 6,000lb trailer and still runs and shifts like a new truck. Dodge Viper GTS-R goes back to old-school livery
Fri, 20 Jun 2014The Dodge Viper may have been around now for over 20 years, but as far as racing achievements go, 2000 was its finest season. That's when it won the Rolex 24 at Daytona, the GTS class trophy at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and its second consecutive title in the American Le Mans Series.
Since then, SRT Motorsports hasn't quite had the same success, withdrawing from Le Mans this year and shedding the Dodge name and its emblematic red and white livery for the SRT badge and a silver snakeskin theme. But now that the Viper is back under the Dodge banner, so too is the racing team returning to its classic livery.
Starting from the six-hour race at Watkins Glen next week, both the No. 91 and No. 93 Viper GTS-Rs will wear the red base color with twin white racing stripes that its more accomplished forebears wore on circuits around the world. And with it, maybe the Viper will return once again to the winner's circle at home and abroad.
Dodge Viper saved from crusher by students, but will it last?
Tue, 16 Sep 2014The saga of the Washington state community college hoping to keep its allegedly pre-production Dodge Viper out of the maw of the crusher is going strong. Not only does the school still have the car, but there's a chance that the college might even get to keep it.
The whole situation flared up in March when the South Puget Sound Community College in Olympia, WA, received a notice from Chrysler Group that requested that the school's Viper be destroyed. The automaker had loaned the muscle car to it about a decade ago to use for educational purposes in its auto tech classes. With the Dodge growing long in the tooth, "it is unlikely that these vehicles offer any educational value to students," the company said in its press release on the matter.
However, the college balked at destroying its Viper, despite the fact it had signed a contract with Chrysler Group to do so. The school further claimed that its car was incredibly special because it was a pre-production example and just the fourth one made back in 1992. Although, as we pointed out at the time, the photos of the school's vehicle showed a coupe that looked like a newer Viper GTS.
