This is a like new 2006 Dodge 3500 4x4 diesel 6spd manual with only 9896 miles. That is correct less than 10k miles on this truck. It has been garaged since day one and has not even been driven in the rain. This is the beloved 5.9 diesel without all of the new emissions. The suspension is spotless and still shines like it came off of the showroom floor. The truck has a Banks six gun pda that has never been turned up past setting 3, a Banks airbox, Banks high ram intake, and Banks monster exhaust. The suspension lift is a 6 inch superlift with larger coils, not spacers, dual steering stabilizers, and BD steering brace. The truck has a hitch on the front and rear as well. The interior is spotless and still smells new. The bed has never had anything hauled in it and has always had a bed mat on it as well. The wheels are Mickey Thompson with 37x13.50x18 Mickey Thompson tires. The steps are Nfab and don't even show any signs of wear. All of the parts were added before 1k miles and show that they are still like new. 2003-04 Dodge Viper recalled for sudden airbag deployment
Fri, 15 Feb 2013As if driving the old Dodge Viper (not the fancy new SRT model) isn't intimidating enough, imagine trying to wrangle that V10 beast and then suddenly having the airbags deploy. Yikes. That's apparently what could happen to some 3,660 Viper models from the 2003 and 2004 model years, and as such, Chrysler has issued a recall.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, part of the car's airbag control module may fail, causing the bags or seatbelt pre-tensioners to deploy without warning while the vehicle is in operation. That's a dangerous scenario in any car, let alone one offering insane horsepower a near-total paucity of safety nannies should things get squirrely.
Owners will be notified this month about the recall, though a remedy is not expected to be available until later this year. Scroll down for the full NHTSA statement.
Aficionauto drives Vin Diesel's fast and furious 1970 Dodge Charger
Mon, 15 Sep 2014The Aficionauto host Christopher Rutkowski has a real passion for original and replica cars from movies and television, whether they are from James Bond, Jurassic Park, or incredibly obscure Japanese shows. However, he might have outdone himself this time because he hopped into one of the biggest automotive stars of contemporary cinema. This 1970 Dodge Charger appeared in Fast & Furious and came back in Fast Five, where Paul Walker actually drove it. The menacing, black muscle car will make its return to the franchise in the seventh film, too.
The Fast and Furious Charger is a real beast no matter how you look at it. The interior is nothing more than two seats and a roll cage, and as the video shows, this thing vibrates constantly like a coiled mass of muscle ready to strike. The camera can barely stay in place most of the time. Also, Dom's Dodge is more than happy to do a smoky burnout and leave the driver partially deaf afterward from its wonderful, ear-splitting engine roar.
The Aficionauto also interviews the man who controls the keys to this beast. Bob Hartwig was once an F-15 pilot, but he also loved Hollywood vehicles. Now, he's a partner at Picture Car Warehouse, a company with about 850 cars that supplies vehicles to film studios. This Charger definitely seems to be Hartwig's favorite in the collection, as it should be.
