Up for sale is the most dependable diesel truck on the road, the venerable 12 valve Cummins Dodge Ram! For those not familiar with these trucks, a little bit of research will give you a clue as to why the 94-early 98 Dodge Ram Diesel Trucks bring such a premium. These are the motors EXPECTED to run over 800k miles with routine maintenance. These are the trucks that get 22-25mpg hwy STOCK and better with modifications. These are the trucks with the mechanical fuel pump...an issue that many 98.5-02 Cummins owners have spend thousands on fixing. With that being said, if you're looking at this truck, you probably already know all this and more. This truck has been adult owned and responsibly enhanced for better fuel economy and reliability. These improvements were removal of the restrictive muffler and installation of boost,EGT and trans temp gauges to monitor important parameters. Tires have been upgraded to 33" all terrains(285/75/16) and fronts have 65% tread life, rears have about 45-50%. Newer flip up towing mirrors have been added as well for better visibility and appearance. The engine runs extremely strong, transmission shifts excellent and four wheel drive operates properly. Front suspension doesn't "wander" or have unnecessary play. Cosmetically, the truck is in better shape than pretty much any 97 Dodge Ram with over 100k miles, though it is not a show truck by any means. It has its share of rock chips but both doors have been replaced to remedy the ever present rust that forms on them over time. There is a small patch of paint bubbling on the base of the left front fender. Aside from that, no other rust issues.....this is a very solid truck. Interior is in above average shape for the year of truck, with the only tear being on the drivers seat bolster and has been sewn up to keep it from spreading. This truck appears to never have been smoked in and is only a TWO OWNER truck. No accidents at all on its Autocheck Report. THIS TRUCK HAS NEVER HAD A GOOSENECK OR 5th WHEEL INSTALLED! Yes, you read right. This truck has had an easy life and is ready for a lifetime of trouble free service. I take great pride in fully disclosing the condition of my vehicles. Please call with any questions you may have about the car and let me know if I can help locate an auto transport company for you. There is a mandatory $120 dealer doc. fee on all ebay/internet sales NOTE: $500 deposit due within 24hrs of auctions end. After this point, it will be offered to the next highest bidder if you cannot complete the transaction. Full payment due within 10 days of auctions end. Sean (402)-212-2827

2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat revealed [UPDATE]
Wed, 13 Aug 2014Almost immediately after we drove the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, we began wondering: what's next? Pumping 707 horsepower into the Challenger seemed so crazy - and so intoxicating - we just assumed that Dodge would try that trick again.
Rumors swirled about a Charger Hellcat. Frankly it makes even more sense than the Challenger version. The Charger is a bigger car, and Dodge has never been shy about dropping monster engines under its hood. Hell (cat), we've seen Charger mules running around town that appeared to be the super sedan.
And finally, it's here. The 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat was revealed today at a preview event near Detroit, and it will be a centerpiece of the Chrysler display this weekend at the Woodward Dream Cruise.
2023 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study shows there's less quality than last year
Thu, Jun 22 2023Vehicle inventory, vehicle pricing, and the supply chain are finally showing improvement. Vehicle quality, on the other hand, is still going the wrong way. That's the takeaway from the 2023 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study that found overall problems exceeded last year's record high. The study surveyed owners of 2022-model-year vehicles to assess the average rate of problems per 100 vehicles (PP100) during the first 90 days of ownership. The average figure for the 32 ranked manufacturers in 2020 was about 166 problems per 100 vehicles. In the 2021 IQS, that dropped to an average of 162. For 2022, the average jumped to 180 problems. For 2023, the PP100 is up to an industry average of 192 — an increase of 30 problems per 100 vehicles in just two years. Let's get to the good news first: Dodge reclaimed the crown of having the lowest number of problems per 100 vehicles at 140. Buick won last year with 139 PP100, falling to third this year. Dodge was the first American automaker to top the IQS in 2021. Its return as the least problematic gives parent company Stellantis three wins in four years after Ram was crowned in 2021. It also gives U.S. brands a four-peat after Buick topped the chart in 2022 by having owners report the fewest problems. This year's top 10 is Dodge, Ram, Alfa Romeo, Buick, Chevrolet, GMC, Porsche, Cadillac, Kia, and Lexus. Stellantis gathered a few feathers for its cap, in fact. Maserati showed the largest improvement year-on-year, followed by Alfa Romeo, and Alfa Romeo posted the lowest PP100 among the premium class, beating Porsche and Cadillac. Alfa Romeo has been vocal about working to improve quality, mentioning Lexus as a target. Last year the Japanese brand finished sixth, the Italians finished near the bottom, between Jaguar and Mitsubishi. This year Alfa jumped to third, Lexus dropped to tenth. Ram was the third-best on the list of improvers from 2022 to 2023.  The individual model with the lowest PP100 is the Nissan Maxima. Now for the troublesome bits. In the words of Frank Hanley, senior director of auto benchmarking at J.D. Power, "The industry is at a major crossroad and the path each manufacturer chooses is paramount for its future.
BMW tops Consumer Reports 2023 Brand Report Card
Thu, Feb 16 2023Feels like we wrote about Consumer Reports' 2022 Brand Report Car and 10 Top Picks a few weeks ago, but it was last April. So the mag is back with a ranked roster of 32 brands and 10 vehicles in four categories for your debating pleasure. Starting with the brands, last year's top three were Subaru, Mazda and BMW. This year, the Munich crew climbed two spots to win the prize thanks to "Superb road test scores and solid results in CR’s reliability and owner satisfaction surveys." Subaru narrowly fell to second, maintaining its four-year run in the top three. Mini, eighth last year, jumped five spots to get the last step on the podium. The rest of the top 10 were Lexus (up one spot from last year), Honda (down one spot from last year), Toyota (up three), Genesis (up 12), Mazda (down six), Audi (down three) and Kia (up eight). The magazine and testing outfit says its Brand Report Card "[reveals] which automakers are producing the most well-performing, safe, and reliable vehicles based on CRÂ’s independent testing and member surveys," and that "Brands that rise to the top tend to have the most consistent performance across their model lineups." Last year's top 10 had six automakers from Japan, three from Germany (giving Mini credit for England), none from the U.S. or South Korea, and five luxury brands. This year's list counts five makes from Japan, two from Germany because Porsche fell out of the top ten, two from South Korea, still none from the U.S., and four luxury brands. Buick again ranked as the best domestic, dropping to 12th after being 11th last year. The big mover was Lincoln, its 10-place jump up to 16th attributed to better reliability from the Corsair and Nautilus. Tesla's improved overall reliability saw it climb six spots to 17th. Dodge climbed one spot to 15th. Jeep got out of the penalty box in last to come second-to-last. Land Rover fell three places into the penalty spot. CR's top 10 vehicle models The 10 Top Picks list is practically a new list. Only two holdovers made it to 2023, those being the Subaru Forester and Kia Telluride.
