I am selling my 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 HD Laramie. I am selling the truck because I have other interests that I want to pursue. The truck has 199,xxx miles, it has a 5.9L 24 valve Cummins Turbo Diesel, matched with a NV5600 6 speed manual transmission. It is a quad cab long bed. I have installed an Edge Juice with Attitude programmer. The stock clutch has been replaced with a Southbend double disc performance clutch rated at 650 HP. It has Firestone rear air bags controlled by in cab control box. The front end was rebuilt in May, with heavy duty sway bar links and a heavy duty adjustable trac bar. I had a new factory transfer case installed at 197k miles. It has an Air Dog 165 lift pump. Also has a skyjacker steering stabilizer kit. The truck also has a Pacbrake exhaust brake system. Has a B&W turnover ball gooseneck hitch. The tires are LT 285/75/R17 Firestone Destination MT with roughly 35% tread left on them. It has a black leather (tear on the center and drivers side seat). NHTSA investigating Ram 1500 models for rear differential failure
Mon, 30 Jun 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and its Ram brand following a number of reports regarding the 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. According to 15 consumer complaints, the trucks' rear differential locked up while in other cases, the driveshaft separated at its connection to the diff.
Nearly half of the reports claim the truck was traveling at or above 50 miles per hour, while two consumers reported that the diff lockup/driveshaft separation sent their pickups into a spin. Most troubling, though, is that consumers reported little to no sound indicating there was a problem with their truck.
We reached out to Ram for additional information, such as how many vehicles may be affected or what equipment might be fitted that could cause the issue. Unfortunately, the company wasn't willing to elaborate on specifics.
Is Mopar readying a special-edition Dart for Chicago?
Sat, 26 Jan 2013Chrysler has released the above teaser of a limited-edition Mopar 2013 model that will be unveiled at next month's Chicago Auto Show. Although the automaker doesn't announce what vehicle will get the Mopar treatment, closer investigation of the seats and center console suggest that this car will be a special version of the 2013 Dodge Dart.
This will be the fourth Mopar model in as many years, following on the heels of the Mopar 2010 Challenger, Mopar 2011 Charger and the Mopar '2012 300. There are no details for the Mopar '13 Dart, but we do see that the car will retain the signature black-and-blue color scheme as past Mopar editions. Like these previous models, we expect production of Mopar '13 Dart to be limited to just 500 units.

Dodge to sell off first Challenger SRT Hellcat for charity

Want to get your hands on a new 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, and can't wait to be the first to get one? Las Vegas will be the place to be on September 27. That's where Barrett-Jackson will auction off the very first example. And you'd better bring your checkbook, because the bidding is sure to be fierce with all the proceeds going to charity.
The supercharged Challenger with VIN 0001 has been hand-painted in Stryker Red (usually reserved for the Viper) and features special badging, documentation and accompanying memorabilia - not to mention, of course, that 707-horsepower, 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V8. The car will be on display this weekend as well at Barrett-Jackson's Hot August Nights auction in Reno.
