 2003 Ram 2500 H.O Cummins - 100,400 miles and climbing

Truck was purchased new by fire chief of Oxford, CT, sold to a second owner of Milford, CT and purchased by myself early this year. Overall this truck is flawless and runs great besides a few dings and scratches mostly on one bed side, minor clear coat bubbles on rear wheel well, and tailgate dings/scratches. For 10 years in Connecticut, very nice shape. Crawl under truck and the bed channels, floors, rockers, etc, have no one spot of rust or rot.

Truck is loaded with every option minus leather and passenger power seat. I have the original window sticker (in pictures to show all options) for $41,825, and over $15,000 in receipts, have all original manuals. I will list all upgrades and repairs.

Transmission rebuilt with upgraded internals (not shafts), BD valve body, BD pressure lock, and Pro-Torque Converter at 60,000 miles in 2008 by Jannetty Racing of Waterbury, CT. Truck shifts well, tight TC.

High output Cummins, AFE stage 2 intake, 4'' turbo back exhaust, Edge Juice w/ Attitude (pillar mount), center console factory matched gauges for fuel psi, rail psi, and trans temp, Smarty S06, Snow performance methanol injection, Fass Fuel system.

Truck is lifted 5'' on 35x12.5 Dick Cepek radials like new, purchased in February 2013, front end also rebuilt at this time ( ball joints, bearings, u-joints, etc), bilstein shocks, new front brakes with slotted rotors, new rear brakes

Also have random receipts for odds and ends, water pump replacement, tints, new wiper arms, vent visors.

Interior is in mint condition, built in factory navigation, infinity speakers, etc......

Camel-power and Challengers | Autoblog Podcast #510

Fri, Mar 31 2017

On this week's podcast, Mike Austin and David Gluckman are in a huddle room, because the studio was already taken. We talk about the Dodge Challenger GT all-wheel-drive and who would want one. (And a correction we'll mention in next week's podcast - the trunk lid on the Challenger does wrap around vertically for a decent-sized opening.) Then David has a new performance metric to introduce, proposed by Nissan. The episode wraps up with the traditional doling out of Spend My Money buying advice, with an update on the feasibility of the one-year Ferrari financial plan. The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want buying advice of your very own, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com. (If you record audio of a question with your phone and get it to us, you could hear your very own voice on the podcast. Neat, right?) And if you have other questions or comments, please send those too. NC dealer creates the convertible Challenger that Dodge won't build

Mon, Aug 5 2019

Dodge still hasn't turned the Challenger into a convertible, and the odds of seeing a factory-built drop-top muscle car appear in showrooms are decreasing annually. Tired of waiting, a dealership in North Carolina teamed up with a Florida-based body shop to create a topless alternative to the Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro. It's the real thing, and it's for sale. Keffer Dodge, Chrysler, Ram and Jeep shipped three 2019 Challengers to a shop named Convertible Builders, according to Motor Authority. After losing their lid, they gained a cloth soft top that opens and closes at the push of a button. There's no word on what effect the conversion has on handling, or what Convertible Builders did to offset the loss of structural rigidity. The build didn't include mechanical modifications. Two of the convertibles are R/T Scat Pack models equipped with a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine that serves 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. It's not a supercharged Hellcat V8, but it's potent enough to spin the rear wheels in third gear. The third, R/T-based model features a 375-horsepower, 5.7-liter V8. While our dream build would use a six-speed manual transmission, all three come with an eight-speed automatic that sends the engine's power to the rear wheels. Keffer's website lists the gray, white, and red cars at $64,000, $60,000, and $56,300, respectively. The regular R/T Scat Pack Widebody model starts at $46,245, and the eight-speed automatic adds another $1,595, so the convertible conversion adds about $16,000. It's your only option, unless you're brave enough to chop the top yourself, or patient enough to wait until the early 2020s. Dodge has already started developing the next-generation Challenger, so the current car is unlikely to spawn a convertible before it retires. Its replacement due out in 2021 or 2022 will allegedly ride on a wider, longer evolution of the Giorgio platform found under the Alfa Romeo Giulia, among other models, and unverified rumors claim it's being designed with a topless variant in mind from the get-go. It might resurrect the Barracuda nameplate originally assigned to Plymouth when it makes its debut. Auto News Dodge Convertible Performance

Experience the Woodward Dream Cruise in a Dodge Challenger Hellcat

Thu, Aug 20 2015

While Autoblog was consumed by coverage of the increasingly important Monterey Car Week last weekend, there was another big even going on. The Woodward Dream Cruise is significantly lighter in terms of news, but there's no denying that it's a far bigger, and far more egalitarian than what the wine-and-cheese crowd experience on the links at Pebble Beach. The Dream Cruise crams tens of thousands of cars and over a million spectators along a four-lane ribbon of asphalt between Ferndale and Pontiac, MI. What's remarkable aren't these numbers, though, so much as the distances they travel. Owners and admirers come from far and wide, across the United States and in some cases across the globe, to take in the spectacle. This year, local radio and television coverage featured fans that traveled from Japan, Australia, and Europe, just to take in the cruise. Of course, we realize that not everyone can make the pilgrimage to Woodward Avenue. With that fact in mind, we decided to bring a bit of the Dream Cruise to Autoblog with a time-lapse video of the cruise route. You can experience the good (a Lamborghini Gallardo, Chevrolet Chevelle, and Oldsmobile Cutlass 442), the bad (the traffic jams), and the ugly (no, your 2003 Ford Focus does not qualify as a classic, get the hell out of the cruiser lanes). So join us, as we turn off 8 Mile Road behind the wheel of our 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and run north, through Ferndale, Pleasant Ridge, Royal Oak, Huntington Woods, Berkley, Bloomfield Township, and Bloomfield Hills, before ending up on Wide Track Drive in Pontiac.
